*Please read this*

I have been contacted by Dreame to publish my work there and I'll get paid too. I was contacted a year ago too but I didn't sign the contract.

The thing is if I sign the contract then I won't be able to publish here on wattpad as its an exclusive contract and I don't want to do that to my wattpad readers as i won't be able to update this book here.😔

You guys are more important to me than anything and I wont do it just for getting paid. I'm a reader first then a writer. I can't do that to you all. You have supported me a lot.❤

What do you guys think I should do?

VALENTINA

"VALENTINA...." Cody yelled for the hundredth time in last thirty minutes to get me out of my room as we are kind of late for college.

I grinned straightening my hair. Everyone already left actually because college started like one hour ago and only Cody and I were asleep so we just told them to go as he had to eat like a pig and I had to sleep more.

I quickly run out of my room and out in the sitting area where he was seated on the couch and there were other men present.

Interesting.

New people to annoy.

Its going to be fun today.

I stand away for a minute to observe the other boys. Each and every single one is hot as fuck. How did I get this lucky to be surrounded by hot men all of a sudden?

"Finally!" Cody sighed dramatically after noticing me so I walked closer and all of them stood up.

I grinned at him and looked questioningly at the other five boys standing there.

"Luca dropped them off here. Luciano assigned them to be your bodyguards." Cody explained and I nodded.

"Introduce yourself." I stated staring at each one of them.

"Hi! I'm Ryder." The blonde one with green eyes spoke.

"And I'm James." The dimpled guy with cute freckles chirped enthusiastically smiling.

Aww...he is so cute.

"I'm Mason." He is the one with brown hair and black eyes.

"I'm Elijah." He is the curly haired guy.

"Derek." Gray eyes spoke without any emotions.

Interesting.

They look like normal college going boys who don't even know what they'll do.

They dont really look like bodyguards but then again who can tell by looking at me that I can fight like that? So I can't judge them and I'm pretty sure Luciano must have kept them after a lot of thought.

"Nice to meet you all!" I gave a small smile and they smiled back except gray eyes.

"Can we go already?" Cody asked impatient.

"Yeah. What's the plan?" I asked them.

"We are actually in college not yours though so boss transferred us in yours. In reality we are actually students but we are a part of the mafia since we were sixteen." Ryder explained and I nodded.

"Alright. This is Cody you must have met already and my other friends are in college so let's go and do not try to look like you are trying to protect me and I'll try not to be hard on you guys." I said sternly and started walking out.

"This is boring." James sighed tiredly sitting next to me in the class.

"Its lunch after this so you'll be fine." I said equally irritated after having a week long break.

Luciano fucking made sure at least two of them have every class with me.

"Stop whining and pay attention." Derek said from my left making me and James chuckle.

"Stop being old and grumpy Derek" Elijah grinned mockingly making Derek glare at him.

"Aww...little Der Der is mad?" Ryder said in a baby voice making us all laugh loudly.

These people are so fun to be with. Its usually them making fun of the other but its so amusing.

"You six at the back!" I hear the professor say our name.

Ugh..I don't need his negativity right now.

We looked at him trying hard to control our laugh though Derek was glaring and not at all amused.

"Would you like to share what's so funny with the class Ms. Martinez?" Mr. Wilson asked.

Are you sure that's his name?

Who cares? I dont.

"Nope." I answered popping the P while everyone laughed making the professor angrier.

"Then just get out of my class." He almost yelled.

Let's just say I dont really have a good reputation with him. He hates me for some reason.

"Gladly." I muttered picking up my belongings and walked out followed by the five.

"She is spoiling the new students on their first day already." I heard Mr. Wilson say that before I was out.

"Let's head to the cafeteria. I'm hungry as fuck." I groaned and walked quickly towards the cafeteria.

"Why did you do that ?" Elijah chuckled walking beside me referring to my talking back to the professor.

"You're getting food early. Be thankful to me." I replied smirking.

We walk together inside the cafe and I see sofia with Nia, Emma and Eric. We walk there and I sit down getting comfortable.

"Did you bunk?" Nia asked grinning.

"Nope. Got kicked out." I replied muttering making them shake their heads.

"How are you Sofia?" I asked smiling at her.

"Just great but I wanted to come to Hawaii too!" She pouted making me chuckle.

I hear James clearing his throat and I turn around to find them staring at me pointedly.

Oops. I forgot them.

"Oh yeah..This is Ryder, Derek, James, Elijah and Mason." I said and they all greeted each other taking seats.

"Well would you like to go out sometime?" Mason asked Sofia with raised brows smiling charmingly.

Already!?

"Um I would but I'm not into men." She smirked at him making me chuckle.

I didn't know that.

"Hey! You didn't tell us Sofia! It isn't fair." Emma grumbled complaining.

"Why is that and besides you guys went on a mini vacation the day after we met for the first time. How was I supposed to tell you?" Sofia asked confused.

"So that she can ask you who you find more attractive among us girls." I said rolling my eyes at Emma.

She does that every time.

"Yeah tell us. Who do you find more sexually appealing? Vanessa, Emma, Valentina or obviously Me." Nia grinned at her making Sofia chuckle.

"I don't like any of you. You are like a sister to me so that would be just gross." Sofia said with scrunched nose.

"Oh Cmon...Just look at this body!" Nia groaned pointing at her figure.

"Yeah I can see all the fat." Sofia snapped smirking.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Nia yelled and I just got up to get my food not wanting to witness the scene.

"BRO..." I yelled excited barging inside David's office to see him sleeping peacefully like a baby.

How cute...not.

I walk towards his table and stand in front of it. How is it possible to still sleep when I literally just yelled and slammed the door?

This is David Valentina. Why do you keep on forgetting?

I see stacks of file on the sides of his table while his head lay in the middle. I walk out of his office without waking him up and into his PA's office.

"Hey Stella!" I smiled at his PA as I entered.

"Good Afternoon Ms. Martinez. How can I help you?" She asked smiling politely.

"Give me details on what work is left undone. I'm helping David." I said.

"Yes of course. Is Mr. Martinez not in his office?" She asked.

"He is but he is busy on a call so it would be better if you just give me the information I need." I gave her a tight lipped smile.

"Here it is. Some of the files are in Sir's cabin and here are the other." She said giving me a bunch of folders.

"Thank you and make sure no one disturbs us." I said and walked out and into his office.

There is no point in waking him up as he looked so tired and if he wakes up then we will talk more so I won't be able to help much so its better this way.

I sat on the opposite chair and started working. I cant believe David is not even asking for help. This is obviously too much to handle. Dad had Mom handle some of it so everything was not on his shoulders but David is all alone.

The five handsome hunks are not with me here thankfully. They were so stubborn and said that they have to do their job so they will go wherever I go so I had to call Luciano and had to make him agree for half an hour and they went home.

After several minutes of me doing as much as I can I hear David groan slightly a sign that he was waking up.

He lifted his head slowly and looked at me shocked making me smile at him.

"Fuck...How long was I asleep?" He muttered more to himself I guess.

"It has been...three hours since I came and its seven in the evening right now." I said as I paused to look at my watch.

"Oh damn! I must have slept for hours then. I don't even remember when I fell asleep." He sighed while setting his hair with his hands.

I continued doing the last pile amused at his behavior. He is still in his sleep coma if that's even a thing.

"Hungry lil baby?" I asked smirking.

"Haha not funny but I'm hungry and I'm sure you are too looking at all the work you've done!" He replied rolling his eyes.

"Yeah I'm starving! Everything is almost done though. Go freshen up and we will head out."

"Yeah. You didn't even give me hug after being gone for a week!" He pouted like a baby.

Why does he always behave like a five year old?

"Geez..such a baby Dave. Come here my lil puppy." I said in a baby voice making him glare playfully.

He came and I jumped into his arms wrapping my arms around him.

I admit I really miss him when I am away. We haven't stayed away from each other since we were kids. We always were together.

"I missed you lil sis." He whispered kissing my forehead.

"I missed you too Dave." I said sighing.

"Let's go. You have done too much already. I dont know what I would do without you." He smiled.

"Probably die of overwork." I chuckled making him shake his head and smile.

I put the last stack of undone folders on his table and walk out of the cabin with David by my side.

We settle in his car and I checked my phone to see a text from Luciano an hour ago.

You're still with David?

Valentina
Yeah...we are going out for dinner.

I replied and put the phone back in my bag.

"We're here." David said and we both walk inside our favorite restaurant. We already have a permanent reservation as well own this one.

"So how was your vacation?" David asked as we settled.

"About that...I need to tell you something." I said with a tight lipped smile.

I don't know how he will take it. He was so mad when he got to know that Cody was searching Luciano's phone number and this is more than that so I'm nervous.

"What is it?" He asked passing me a worried look.

I'll have to tell him everything and I'm sure he will be mad because I have literally shared everything important happening in my life and this is something major and I haven't told him.

"Okay so..." I told him everything since Dante texted us that day.

He didn't speak for five minutes straight as his expressions changed from shocked to angry to scary.

"Dante was a closed case! How did he come back?" He hissed.

"We have no idea." I sighed.

"What the fuck Valentina! You didn't tell me anything. This has been going on for more than a month!" He fumed.

Oops.

"I know but you need to understand." I said in a low voice.

"Understand what exactly? That you love to put yourself in danger? And why the fuck are you a getting involved with a damn mafia lord!?" He exclaimed angrily his hands formed in a tight fist.

"He is trying to protect me David...And I really like him. I was the one who went after him." I said softly.

"That's the fucking point! Are you out of your mind!? He is a mafia lord...he is not safe for you. What will you do when his enemies will come after you? Are you sure you want to have that life for yourself ?" He demanded.

I gulped looking into his eyes. I knew it that he won't take this nicely. He is too overprotective a brother to understand that I like Luciano.

"I want to meet him." He stated staring at me.

"What..but..." I started when he cut me off.

"Call him here. Right now." He literally ordered me as my lips quivered and I knew it that I was about to cry.

I never cry and I mean never when someone is mad at me but when it comes to my brothers and father I'm a gone case. I can't handle it when they're mad at me and I clearly cannot handle my lacrimal glands.

"Don't cry princess. I'm not mad at you but I'm mad at the fact that you didn't feel like telling me and you put yourself in danger." He said softly for my sake but I can see his eyes which held the anger.

"I'm sorry." I whispered as my eyes started watering.

Now it won't stop soon.

"Hey...please dont cry baby sis..." He came towards my side and hugged me whispering sweet nothings in my ear.

Why am I like this? Why the fuck am I crying?

Suddenly my phone rang which I clearly ignored but it rang again making me look towards my bag.

"Let me take it for you." He took my phone out of my bag while I wiped my tears with a tissue.

He stared at it without blinking and then gave it to me.

"Tell him to come home. I want to meet him." He said and gave the phone to me to find it was Luciano. I answered it and heard his voice.

You're a fucking strong woman Valentina! Stop this crying right now. This is not us. We should not cry over this.

"Are you home?" He asked softly.

"He wants to meet you." I whispered still in David's embrace.

"Give him the phone." Luciano said so I just gave it because I'm exhausted to do anything anymore.

"Yeah. Fine." David said and hung up.

"He fucking knows our address already.." I hear David muttering to himself.

"Finish your food princess and we will head out." He said making me shake my head.

"Let's go...you can make me your special at home." I said and got up smiling a little.

"Anything for you." He smiled and we walked out.

I don't know what is going to happen now that David called Luciano at our place. I just hope he doesn't harm him.

With these thoughts my eyelids closed slowly and I passed out with exhaustion.
