||Mehmed POV||

I searched for father early in the morning, just hoping to catch before he was leaving for the campaign, but I couldn't seem to find him. A sigh escaped my lips as I stopped in the hallway to look around. It had been quiet the past few days, besides the scattered talking her and there. I hadn't seen Mustafa seen yesterday and even when I tried to find him in his chamber, he was gone. It made me wonder if he finally let the guilt eat him up on the inside and realised the mistakes he had done.

'Every mistake comes with a consequence. You can learn with it, or fail from it.'

I hadn't visited Nemiah yet, which made me curious to how she would be. I walked calmly to her room which was next to Mihimirah's, until I noticed a guard was carrying a small chest from the room. I frowned and entered, only to see the bed made neatly and no sign of anyone currently sleeping in the room. I seen Annie, one of my sisters maids fixing the pillows and I cleared my throat.

She noticed and curtsied, flashing me a smile. "Prince Mehmed, how can I help you?"

"What is happening? Where is Nemiah?" My fears had placed doubts of seed into the back of my mind, of something horrible happening to her.

"Prince Mustafa has ordered the departure of Nemiah Hëldger. She is currently being escorted to her carriage to leave." The concubine spoke softly, her eyes dropping to the ground.

I couldn't help the anger that was arising.  This is how you solve your problems, Mustafa? By trying to cover the truth of what you had done? "Thank you." I left the room and hurried as fast as I could to the carriages, but stopped abruptly when Mother came out from around the corner. She was beaming like the sun,for who ever knows the reason. "Mother."

"Mehmed, why are you rushing? "She smiled at me but I knew my time was limited.

"I am just..clearing my head. Excuse me." I hurried past her and went straight to the front of the palace.

||Nemiah POV||

I couldn't believe he actually kept his word. Freedom was at the tip of my fingers and so much of me was already desperate to go. I would be sad to leave my dear friends who I had came to know very well. They were the only ones who treated me like a decent being and didn't try to betray me or use me for any purpose.

I looked at the carriage in front of me, my heart thumping in my chest before I look back to the palace where Mustafa was standing at the bottom of the steps, a saddened expression on his face. You had your chance, Mustafa. Now, I must go.  I felt something turning in my stomach, and I knew I ate breakfast this morning, so I didn't know what it was.

"Goodbye..Sehzade Mustafa."I whispered to him, my anger no longer there and just replaced with pity. What was it with people just thinking you're nothing but an object?! The guard opened the door and I took a step toward it, only to hear my name getting called.

"Nemiah! Nemiah do not leave!"

I looked back, confusion on my face.  It was Prince Mehmed. "Mehmed-"

He held his hand up to stop me from talking as he came to approach my carriage, Mustafa following him til they were both in front of me. Mehmed shot Mustafa a look before he spoke. "You mustn't go. You mustn't.  You've only had bad hands dealt to you, and never got to enjoy the blessings of the palace. You can't just leave."

"She is allowed to leave. I am sending her off, Brother so she will be happier." Mustafa spoke quietly.

"She would be happier from you." Mehmed hissed. "Word is slowly going aorund the castle, and who do you think it's going to come to? "

"Hurrem can't do anything. All she will say it's the doing of Mahidevran's will." Mustafa looked back at me.

"It doesn't matter who said what, it's about if I am to live another day without having the fear in my heart that I won't see the sunlight." I spoke softly.

Mehmed scrunched his eyebrows together before he spoke." If you live in fear, then you won't truly experience the greatness of life. "

He was right.

I was only giving Fatma what she wanted most, which was leaving. But how could I avoid her without causing trouble? Who knew. I looked back at my feet for a moment before getting out of the carriage, Mehmed taking my hand of course and was back on the palace grounds. I took a deep breath before doing a curtsey to them both. "But I have no room anymore, and I cannot simply just take my old room back-"

"Of course you can. Come, we have much to discuss." He smiled warmly as he held out his arm and I took it without hesistation. Mustafa had a look on his face that I couldn't exactly place but right now it didn't matter.

I needed to brace myself for the dangers that were coming.

For the enemies I would face again.

Lookout Fatma. You nearly succeeded in your devious ways, but only one can truly win the hearts of the people.
