I carried the tray and made sure not to drop it, my mind focused as I kept a steady pace. When I reached the door, the guards allowed me in and I went inside, Only to see Prince Mustafa himself. He was sitting on the couch with my Sultana. I came over and set the tray down before I curtsied, turning to leave.

"Nema." I flinched, praying to Allah I didn't mess up nothing. I turned slowly around and brought a fake smile to my face.

"Yes my Sultana?"

"Find Sumbul and tell him to prepare entertainment. "She pat Mustafa's hands and he just gave her half a smile. "I want my son to relax tonight. "

I curtsied and bowed my head before hurrying out of the room. If that meant that I could be away from that man, than so be it. I took my time, searching the halls,  looking for Sumbul, but no luck so far. I was walking pass a room when I heard whispering, my feet coming to a stop. I couldn't help but turn my head and look into the room, peeking through the cracked door as I seen A fair maiden with the Sultana. Must be one of her concubines. I tried to listem.to what she had to say.

"..has given Mustafa the bigger room, since he is expected to start a Dynasty of his own. I heard from Sultan Sulieman that whoever bears a grandchild first, shall become Padisha and someone will become the new Valide." She bit her lip nervously.

Hurrem looked angered, as she fixed her hair from her face. "We mustn't let Mahidevran become Valide. She will be the snake upon the throne."

"What shall we do, My Sultana?"

"Prepare entertainment for Mehmet. I want you to choose the concubines who stand out. The faster we get ahead of her, the more chance we--"

I leaned too much on the door and it swung open a bit, so I hitched up my dress and tried to hurry away. I went around the corner and to the kitchen, where I closed the door and tried to.catch my breath once more. The cook raised a brow at me and I flashed him nervous grin."Uhm..hi"
