Tyler's P.O.V

"I don't think you understand young man," Wendy's father continued shouting. "How drastically your presence in my daughter's life has impacted her. Both emotionally but most importantly academically. Has she told you how much her grades has dropped? She was a straight A student."

I found it interesting how he had said 'academically' was more important than 'emotionally'.

"I love her sir, I would- " I tried saying but he interrupted me.

"You love her?" He scoffed. "What do you know about love? The only love my daughter needs is from me, her mother and the family she has. She doesn't need you."

"With all due respect, I will have to correct you on that one sir. Wendy and I need each other."

"Need each other? No. I will tell you what you need. You need to get out of her life and stay out. You did nothing but pull my daughter down to your pathetic level."

"I'm sorry but I can't do that. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have woken up. Wendy gives me strength. She is my strength. Without her..." I trailed off not even wanting to imagine a life without her.

"Without her you'll be fine."

"No, I won't."

I swear I saw smoke come out of the man's ears.

"You have no idea who you're messing with. I'm only going to say this once more: Stay away from my daughter. Or, you will regret it." He took a step closer to my face. "Get out of my house." He said as he pointed in the direction of the huge door of this humongous house.

I looked over at Wendy's mother who was standing quietly next to her husband in this kitchen, hoping the soft motherly feature all mothers seem to have, would come out and give me a chance to explain.

But she instead looked away from me and wrapped her arm around Wendy's father's arm.

Fine.

I got up the kitchen chair and walked out. Immediately, the door was slammed behind me.

I can't be surprised at how awful this meeting went, 'cause Wendy did warn me.

But no, me being Mr. Know-It-All insisted on meeting her parents thinking the same charm I had on Wendy would work on them.

Couldn't have been more wrong.

I took my phone out and texted Wendy.

Tyler: Meet me at the park in 30 minutes?

My Queen: Why in 30 minutes? Why not right now?

Tyler: If you leave now, your parents might figure that you're going to meet up w me.

My Queen: Oh, right. See you in 30 minutes.

Tyler: I miss you though.

My Queen: I miss you more.

Seconds later.

My Queen: 30 minutes is a long timeee.

I imagined her adorably whining.

Tyler: I know babe. Be strong for me, you can do this ;).

My Queen: *rolling eyes* Yeah, yeah whatever. See ya soon.

Tyler: How about 'kiss ya soon'? ;)

I imagined her rolling her eyes with a smile and then throwing her phone on the bed.

Whenever I say something as lame and cheesy as this, she doesn't bother replying.

As long as it made her smile, I don't mind.

I put my phone back in my pocket and walked to the park.

Another reason why I asked Wendy to meet me in 30 minutes was because I needed some time to think.

I arrived at the park and sat on a swing.

Wendy's parents practically banning me from seeing her doesn't really help much.

Wendy is drowning in trying to catch up with schoolwork and according to her, I'm the only thing keeping her sane.

If I listen to her parents, and break up with her, will she cope?

Will I cope?

Probably not.

This would -

A beep signalling that I have gotten a text, interrupted my thought.

I took my phone out and viewed it.

Unknown: Better sleep with one eye open.

I almost crushed my phone with my hand in fury. I hated this shit.

A few days after I had woken up from the coma, I started getting these weird and threatening texts from an unknown number everyday.

Tried reporting it to the police but they dismissed me. They said it was probably my friends playing a prank on me.

This is not my friends playing a "prank" on me.

I don't want to tell my mom and Wendy because it may worry them unnecessarily.

Maybe this is just a prank from some sick, bored creepo.

Some of the texts I had gotten over the last few days included,

"You will rue the day you were born."

"When I'm done with you, not even your dearest mother will recognise your corpse."

"I will slit your throat and feed your head to the wolves."

I do highly hope it is a prank that won't come true.

About 5 minutes later, I saw a curvaceous shadow appear down the street of the park but I couldn't make out the face though the body looked very familiar.

The person's face finally came to light and revealed to indeed be Wendy.

Confused, I checked the time on my phone and saw that only 15 minutes had passed since I had come from her house.

She shouldn't be here for an extra 15 minutes.

She hadn't noticed me yet as she was looking down on her phone.

As soon as she did, she froze in her step.

For a while, we stared at each other.

"What are you-"

We interrupted each other.

"Why are you-"

"You speak," I said.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I was going to ask you the same thing."

"My parents went out. I needed a break and couldn't concentrate so I decided to come to the park already." She shrugged. "What about you?"

"I just needed some time to think." I shrugged back.

"About?"

I hesitated answering. "Nothing in particular."

"Cool."

Awkward silence.

This reminded me of the time her friends had caught us making out. This is majorly deja vu'ic.

"So..." She dragged the word out. "What now?"

"Oh, uhm. Since you're here already, you can come sit next to the swing beside or just sit on me, I don't know." I tried being casual but the thought of her butt in those jeans, sitting ontop  me aroused me.

Yes, I am easily aroused. I know.

I am so glad I am wearing baggy tracksuit pants that doesn't really show.

"I'll sit on the swing, thanks." She sat down the swing next to me.

For a while, we swang in silence. The only sounds that could be heard was the trees rustling because of the wind and the croaking sounds the swings were making as we rocketed back and forth.

"Wendy." I suddenly said, breaking the silence.

"Tyler." She evenly responded.

"Look baby," I got up from my swing and faced away from her because I could feel the tears making their way up my face.

"Our relationship cannot go on. I-It cannot continue. I am so sorry to say this but...Wendy, I think our relationship has to end."

A/N: Wow! It has been a month since I last updated.
Dang.
But to make it up to you, I made the chapter a tad longer (I don't think the difference was notable but oh well).
Hope it's at least worth a vote xx.
