Luna P.O.V

I got home and I wasn't late, thank god! I smoothly walked inside hoping I can get inside my room and sleep as soon as possible, but they caught me like always.

" Luna, dear, come here" mom called from the living room I sighed putting Alpha down on the hallway and walked towards the living room

" Hi mom, hi dad " I smiled at them as I sat down

"Hi dear, how was the party?" I wanted to say not good at all, but that would bring up so many questions

" it was ok mom, thanks, so you wanted to tell me something?" I mean they won't just call me here for nothing

" Luna, dear, you know that you are the next CEO for our company and you are doing awesome job training till now but" I am nervous now. why is dad bringing that up now?

" I want to make sure, in the future when I won't be here you will have a strong person you can rely on. And that is not only for the company sake but also because I want to be sure about nothing bad gonna happen to you in the future" I looked at him confused

" what do you mean exactly by 'a strong person behind me' dad?"

" I mean I want you to get married to someone who you can rely on and he is capable of protecting you" I needed a few good minutes to process what I just heard

Me...? Marrying-marrying someone?

" b-but dad why would I need that? I am training so hard so I can be an independent person and a good CEO in the future "

" I know dear, but this is life and everything might happen. now i am asking you, in your entire life I have never said no to something you wanted nor I am planning ever to do so.

So for my sake please think about it, I just want to make sure everything will be alright when one day I am gone. ok...?" I felt my eyes tear up but I didn't let them fall.

why is dad talking like that? I have never ever thought about anything bad happen to any of my family members or someone dear to my heart

" dad don't say that..." I whispered

" just saying dear, now think about it, ok...?" I never saw dad giving me that look

" I-I need time to think about it, is that ok?" I mean it is hard to marry someone you don't know out of blue.

" you have time till tomorrow evening, think thoughtfully about your own good and the company needs as well" I nodded my head as I stood up excusing myself.

I walked towards where I left Alpha and he was just like a good boy playing around. I took him in my arms as I walked to my room

I lay down on my bed, i was feeling so uneasy

" w-why must I marry someone? That sound just so unfair" I whispered to Alpha holding him tight beside me

" b-but I feel like it is my part too, as dad said they gave me everything in this life I must great their wishes when they asked for something" I sighed as I put the cover over me and Alpha

" let's just sleep now we will think about it tomorrow" closing my eyes, I was more exhausted than I thought that is why I fell asleep in no time

I woke up the next day with little Alpha in my arms I kissed the top of his head, but his eyes were still closed

was he still asleep?

I went to the bathroom taking a warm shower and finishing my morning routines. After I was done with everything I walked out of my closet and saw Alpha is still asleep

"Alpha, baby wake up its morning already," I touched his head softly, but he didn't open his eyes

"Alpha, baby open your eyes " he didn't which made me panic, after few more tries I carried him in my arms running outside of the house towards my car not paying attention to anyone. I got inside my car and start to drive as fast as i could while my little unconscious Alpha was on my laps.

Halfway towards the vet when suddenly my car started to slow down, I look over to the fuel gauge and it is on the E

" no no, not now! damn it ! " i knew my car will stop any minute so I parked it in a sideway, I got out with Alpha in my arms. looking around to see if there is any car that might come by and give me a ride to the vet. why is there no car damn it!

after a few minutes, I saw a car coming, thank god finally!

I waved one hand giving a sign that I need help and thankfully the car stopped, but who came out shocked me, now this is embarrassing. what is Mr. Adrian doing here?

" Miss Luna? what is wrong ? " he asked

" Hello Mr. Adrian I am sorry for taking your time, my car stopped here and my puppy is sick can you perhaps help me to get to the vet? " I asked embarrassed, but when is an emergency you must go for it.

" of course, please get in the car " I nodded my head, quickly getting inside while putting the seatbelt on, he also got inside and start driving

" so miss Luna what is wrong with your puppy ? " he asked

" he is not waking up, he was alright last night I don't know what might be wrong" I sighed bringing Alpha closer to my chest

" And where have you got a wolf as a pet ?" he said making me look at him shocked. How can he know this is a wolf, wolf pups are pretty similar to husky puppies

He seems to sense my shocking state so he gave me an explanation

" I got to study about animals I can notice if it is a wolf or a dog " that make sense

" i-I found him in the forest, his parents were killed and I couldn't just leave him alone," I told him truthfully

Strangely I feel like I can trust him with this, he seems like a really good man and handsome too. I wonder how old Is he, he seems too young to be such a successful businessman

" that just shows how kind you are miss Luna," he told me with a smile, god that smile...

I could feel blood rush to my cheek.

stupid don't blush now!

" We are here," he said as he stopped the car and I wasted no time getting out of the car so did he.

" I don't know how to thank you, Mr. Adrain, I owe you this," I said wanting to go inside as soon as possible

" It is fine to let's go inside quickly I came till here I would like to leave once I am sure he is fine," I didn't argue, I nodded and we both got inside the vet

well, why is everyone staring at us like this?

no time to care I must get Alpha to doctor

" is doctor Mike here? could you please tell him Luna is here for an emergency? " I asked the receptionist, she nodded her head as she informed the doctor, she then took Alpha quickly from me and asked me to wait in the waiting room.

I walked towards the waiting room and sat in one of the chairs quietly Mr. Adrain beside me.

" he is gonna be just fine, no worries," he told me with such an assuring voice make me believe in it.

"I hope so Mr. Adrain and I can't thank you enough," I told him he only gave me a warm smile which was so beautiful

" call me Asher, it is our second meeting better to drop formality a bit," he told me

his name is Asher? such a cool name

" then to be fair call me Luna " I gave him a small smile

we were sitting quietly

after sometime doctor Mike came and informed me Alpha is alright now, he just had a problem with what he ate, so doctor Mike gave me a list of what I should feed him.

they then took me to the room Alpha was in, he was awake so so cutely sitting there like a good boy

" little Alpha you got me worried there," I told him softly carrying him in my arms and gave him a kiss on his head, i heard a throat clearing sound from behind make me look back.

oh, Asher, I nearly forgot.

After we finished everything there we walked out of the vet.

" I won't take your time anymore Mr- I mean Asher I would go alone from here thank you," he shook his head

" Not gonna happen, what kind of man will i be if I leave you here alone? I will take you to where you want to go" he said I wanted to say no, but then I remembered I didn't even bring money dumb Luna! I didn't need to pay in the vet because the day I first brought Alpha here I paid for a full health check and any health problem for the next 6 months.

" but aren't you busy? " he shook his head I hesitated, but agreed at the end. he then took me home, he stopped his car right outside the mansion.

" as I said I owe you this, anything I could help you please feel free to ask me, thank you again Asher " he smiled.

You know I feel somehow shameless to call him by his name, it is our second meeting but it always took me more than just a few normal meetings to call someone by their first name. There is something about his name a really strange excitement in me whenever I call him by his name.

I am a shameless brat!

" I will do that definitely and your welcome see you tonight " I nodded my head getting out of the car and he took off

wait- what did he mean by seeing you tonight?
