"Is it fine?" Emily asked, smoothing her maroon dress. "You look hot," Gwyn said, putting on her nude lipstick. "I don't know." Emily turned around and looked at herself in the mirror. "Emmy, you are dating Sam Watson. The Sam Watson, people expect you to look hot, and my love, you are looking hot," Gwyn said, running a hand through her messy curls.

The maroon dress ended right above her knees and tightened around her waist. "I do, don't I?" she asked, checking herself out. "Yep, he is waiting downstairs. Now go, " Gwyn said. "See you at the party, G," she hung up. She took the pearls, looked at herself for the last time, and walked downstairs.

There, she saw him in his leather jacket, talking to her brother. She walked up to them, "Hey," she said. He turned around and she saw him look at her, "you look...." He started. "Not bad," Edward said. "I look good, thank you very much, Ed," Emily flicked her hair. Sam pulled out one red rose he saved for her. "Thank you," she said. "Sam, do you mind?" She showed him the pearl necklace and turned around. "Absolutely not," he said, taking the necklace.

She removed the hair she spent an hour curling as he placed the necklace. "Do I look alright?" she whispered as his fingers grazed her shoulders. "Angel, you look gorgeous," he tightened the necklace. "There," he stepped back. Emily looked at the bouquet her mother held. "Nice move," she said with a smile. "What can I say, I am a great boyfriend," he said.

"Let's go," Edward said, taking out his car. "I will drive her," Sam stood in front of him. "Fine, I will take Rowan then," Edward closed the door. "As if you don't want to," Emily said, walking up to Sam's car. "How long do you think before they date?" Emily asked as Sam opened the door for her. "Weeks, both are stubborn," Sam started the car.

The parties at Jessica Simpson's vacation house were always popular. The music blasted the second they entered. "Regretting yet?" he asked. "Yes," she said, taking his arm, and they walked up to Gwyn and James talking, exchanging glances they turned the other way.

"That was something," Sam said. "Strange to say the least," she said. The music started as people waved at them. They easily spotted Isabel and William laughing. "Let's dance." he pulled her into the dancefloor. "I don't dance," she said. "Lucky for you, I do," he said, slowly leading her steps. "Just follow me."

He spun her around as she laughed. The song ended with her hands around his neck and his around her waist. "That was fun," she said, catching her breath. "Let me get us a drink," Sam said, walking away. Emily waited for him when Isabel came next to her. "Hi," she said with a smile.

"Hi," Emily replied. She would be lying if she said Isabel didn't look breathtaking in her black body con dress. Isabel Montgomery was truly a sight to behold with her perfect chestnut curls and rich brown eyes. She was beautiful.

"So you and Sam, huh? You two look good together, " She said. "Yep, you and William too," Emily said. It felt strange. " Thank you, he is truly a catch, well, see you in school Emily," she said, walking away before taking the drink from Sam's hand. Emily noticed the wink she threw before walking away.

Sam walked towards her holding one glass, "I am sorry about that, here." he gave her his glass. "It's fine," she said. It was not. "She is not liking us together," he said, looking around. "It's just the start, Darling. But why is he not looking?" Emily asked. "Where is he?" Sam asked. "To your left," she said as Sam slowly turned. "He will," he said, taking her hand.

They joined the rest of the team celebrating. Sam sat on the chair. There were no more seats left. He pulled Emily into his lap. "Tell me if I am heavy," she whispered, leaning into him. His one hand drapped over the chair and another around her waist, pulling her close. "I think I can handle it," he whispered back. She knew he was smiling. "So how did this happy couple come into being?" Christopher asked. They knew everyone was curious.

Sam leaned in and removed her hair to a side, "Well, we always knew each other, and I think I was always a little bit in love with her. It was all those moments when I first time I saw her with Edward at our first game, the time she gave me a bandage for my scar" he traced the scar on the bridge of his nose "the first moment I saw her was when we were seven she smiled at me and I fell for her and I knew that one day we would be together" Sam said.

The people bought it as the girls awed. "Cute," Christopher said. "Good story," Emily said. "Thank you, angel," Sam said. Emily smiled. Maybe he remembered her, too. Maybe. Emily caught William's eye and smiled at him. The conversations started to flow. Occasionally, Emily and Sam caught William and Isabel glancing. With Sam by her side, they effortlessly became the center of attention.

"That went great," Emily said, her heels creating tremendous pain. "Can you walk?" he asked. "Yes," she slipped out of the red heels. "Let me carry them," he said, taking her heels as they walked towards his car. The road was nearly empty, and the wind flowed around. "That was fun, thank you for bringing me," she said, leaning against his sports car.

"Told you, angel," he said. "You do know that they call you the heartbreak prince?" she asked. He raised his eyebrows, "I heard they called me the devil," he said. "That was old," Emily said. He was the devil, and she was the angel. They were meant to be doomed. "Emmy," Edward called, walking out. She glanced at Sam, "I have to go." "Of course, see you at school, Angel," he said. "See you at school, Sam," she smiled at him and walked toward her brother's car. "
