Amrit's POV

I and Subu were sitting in the garden talking to each other.

"Ammu, I am very nervous" Subu complained.

"Subu, if you say that once more I will kill you" I said in an irritated voice. "Let me plan how to bring him to the temple. What was Kanha's need to give this work to me? It would have been simpler if he would have gone. Arjun would never even question him why he is bringing him to the temple. But he will do question me."

"Shh! Ammu what if someone listen" She scolded me.

"Oops!" I giggled.

"But how does one understand if one is in love?" I asked.

I mean how will I understand if I am in love?

"It's..." she was about to explain.

"Shh! You are an amateur plus I want to confirm if your love is real or is it just infatuation? We need to ask someone experienced." I said as I started thinking who.

"Rukmini Bhabhi. She has even been in my situation." Subu suggested.

"You are sometimes smart" I joked.

"But what will we ask her?" She asked.

"Ah.. leave that to me. You just don't say anything unnecessary." I warned her.

I actually have planned nothing.
But I guess I can depend on my guts and my so called brain.

"Don't worry Ammu." She assured me.

I smiled and we started searching for her. Rukmini was in her room playing with her daughter.

"Bhabhi it's urgent" I shouted as I sat down beside her.
Subu sat on order side.

"What happened? Ammu? Subu?" She asked in tension.

"How does one know if she is in love?" I asked straightforward.

"Why?" Rukmini asked in confusion.

"Bhabhi, Subu is in love" I said without thinking.

"What?" They both asked at the same time staring at me.

I facepalmed myself. Rukmini then looked at Subu.

"Bhabhi she meant to say. That I was curious how you understood that you really love Bhrata and it's not attraction?" Subu somehow handled the situation.

"Oh" She said with a smirk.

Does she already know everything?
Did Kanha tell her?
Kanha, why don't you make all these things clear!

"So I used a trick" Rukmini started telling. "First clear your mind and then close your eyes. Meditate for sometime, pray to lord Narayana and then think who do you love the most. The person who you thought about at first is the one your heart wants"

Unknown to her, I and Subu were both doing her trick as she instructed.

Arjun?
Why is he coming in my mind?
I guess I can't clear my mind enough.
Let's try again.

"Arjun" Subu murmured.

I opened my eyes.

"What?" Rukmini asked.

"She mean food. That's what I saw. I guess I am hungry. Let's go Subu" Saying so, I pulled Subu with me to the corridor.

Once we were safe, we both started laughing madly.

"So you really love him." I said with an encouraging smile.

"If her trick works then yes." Subu agreed.

As soon as we reached her room "Btw Ammu, who do you saw?" She asked.

Should I tell her?
No.
She might think that I love Arjun but the actual fact is that I was just not able to clear my mind.

"Food. I am really hungry" I excused and I brought some food for me.

Just then, Dau knocked the room. Subu's smile faded a bit.

"Dau" I said as he walked in.

"What are you both talking about?" He asked with a kind smile.

"Nothing Bhrata" Subu said with a faint smile.

"You don't look happy Subhadrae. Is something bothering you?" He asked with care.

"It's nothing Dau. She is just nervous for tomorrow. Plus, she is feeling sad about leaving you all." I spoke before she could.

"I know tomorrow is a big day for you. You haven't even met Duryodhan properly. But believe me, he respects me a lot and he will give you everything you deserve. He won't let my trust down" He tried to assure her.

"I know, Bhrata" She said with a smile and hugged him.

Dau broke the hug as he struggled to hide his tears.

"I will leave now. You must rest now as you will have to wake up early tomorrow." He said with a heavy voice and left.

The rest of the night was very silent as none of us knew what to say and how to say.

In the morning, we both had to wake up early.

"Why am I waking up early?" I complained.

"Because you are the one who will ready me." She explained.

"Of course" I said while yawning.

She took a bathe and sat on her dressing table.

She wore a pinkish coloured saree,

a juda for her hair,

a pair of jhumkas,

a few necklaces,

a beautiful nosepiece,

red-green coloured bangles,

gold payals,

a heavy mangtikka to be brief.

"You look lovely. You can even fail a apsara today" I complimented her.

"Ammu, I am feeling very nervous. What if he doesn't come? What if I get married to Duryodhan?" She said with her voice trembling.

"Shh shh! Don't worry so much Subu. I assure you Arjun will come and you will only get married to him and no one else." I tried to calm her down.

"Ammu, I wish I could take you too. I will miss you a lot." She said with tears.

"First of all don't spoil my hours of hard work with your tears. Secondly, Indraprasth is like my third home. I am either in Dwarka or in Anga or there." I wiped her tears.

She nodded and left for the temple. I went outside and saw Kanha standing at the corner. He smiled on seeing me. I nodded and hid my face using the ghungat of my saree. I started walking towards the village.

Come on Ammu!
You don't have much time.
Satya Bhabhi had told me that the puja will take almost 2 hours to complete and then Subu will directly go to mandap.

After 30 minutes of walk, I finally reached the village. I looked around searching for Arjun. My ghoongat had fallen to my shoulder due to wind revealing my face but I didn't notice it.

I was busy in searching for Arjun. Suddenly I heard a voice from behind.

"Amrit?" It was Arjun's voice.

I turned with a smile. But my expression changed into shock as soon as I saw his face.

"Arjun?" I asked not being able to recognise him.

He looked very different from how he was last time. He looked no less than a sanyasi. Last time we met anyone would figure out that he is a warrior just by a glance.

"You look completely different almost unrecognizable." I said while making an eye contact.

"But you don't" He said looking more confused.

"You will have to come with me" I said without listening to what he said.

That was not planned!
Ammu you first had to explain him about Subu.
But no, you like to make things complicated.

"What? Why? Where?" He became much more confused.

Here comes a chain of questions.

"Listen, first let's sit down and then I will explain you everything." I said as I was still panting.

We both sat near a hut.

"Do you like Subhadra?" I asked directly.

I could see a bit blush and awkwardness on his face.

He does like Subu.

"I-- I do admire her. She is a really good and respectful woman." He confessed.

"Subhadra loves you and only wants to marry you" I explained him.

"What? But isn't she supposed to marry Duryodhan?" He asked.

"She is. But she doesn't want to. Do you want to marry her?" I asked wanting to know his wish.

"I do like her and I won't mind marrying her." He said with a smile.

He is trying to be secretive.
I guess he is feeling shy to admit his feelings for her to me.

"Come with me. Kanha and Subhadra are waiting for you in the Shiv temple." I said and started walking.

"Madhav knows that?" He asked as he followed me. I nodded as yes.

Do you think that Kanha won't know this?
We can't do a thing without telling him.

We both reached the temple. Kanha and Subu were waiting for us.

"Pranam Madhav" Arjun joined his hands.

"Parth, do you know why you are here?" Kanha asked with a smirk.

Arjun nodded his head as yes.

"I expected that" Kanha said while looking at me.

Of course!

"So are you ready for it?" Kanha asked.

Arjun looked at a blushing Subu.

They both look cute together.

"I am" He said.

"But there is one problem. Duryodhan and Dau must be waiting for Subhadra to come. If they came to know that Arjun had eloped her, Dau would be very angry. And even I can't predict what an angry Dau can do." Kanha sighed.

"Then what now Bhrata?" Subu asked.

"There must be some way, Madhav." Arjun said as he looked at Kanha.

"There is. Arjun you won't elope Subhadra." Kanha instructed. "Subhadra will elope you. She will be the charioteer. They won't be able to attack or revolt against her."

"As you say Madhav" Arjun nodded with a smile.

"You both must leave now" Kanha said.

Subu hugged him.
"Be brave" Kanha instructed her.

She then came to me.
"Will miss you" she said with tears.

"I won't " I said as I wiped her tears.

They both left in the chariot which Kanha had brought.

I had written this chapter but somehow it got deleted so had to write the whole chapter again.
