Straight. Right and again straight.

I recalled the directions Papa told me once again in my mind, trying not to get lost in this new locality. All these houses looked identical except for small differences like the paint or the windows and some were 2 storied while few others were three.

Checking the time on my mobile I increased my pace. I had to catch the next bus if I wanted to be on time. It was 7.15 and the just-arisen sun shone softly on the streets.

My hair flew as the wind blew through it, not in a cinematic way. Instead, my hair flew in all directions, almost getting tangled, and the baby hairs were very close to entering my eyes.

A black Ashton Martin screeched on the road as it passes ahead in a blink. I remember how I used to drive my red Lamborghini.

Dad bought that car for me as a surprise on my 16th birthday. And I never bothered to change my car after that. I loved it, it was very precious to me. Very close to my heart.

I stepped forward as I saw the bus near and nearly sighed in relief noticing that the bus was not very crowded. I could not handle myself being shoved and falling on my face right on the first day.

Quickly climbing in, I found myself a seat. I had not bothered checking my phone in the past 2days. Hmm, might as well check it now.

12 missed calls from Sergey.

27 missed calls from Irina.

Shit! I should have at least called them when I reached home. I can't imagine how worried they must have been.

I'm sure that Irina must have threatened to massacre all of the cops trying to file a missing report.

After sending a quick message to both of them informing them, that I was fine & would call them in a few hours, I slipped my phone back into my bag unbothered to check on social media. Uneasiness filled in my stomach as I recognized the very familiar streets, we were not that far from Eastwood High. Just a few more minutes.

I took some deep breaths as I gazed out the window until the bus stopped. Realizing that I had reached my stop, I quickly got off the bus.

As if my feet were glued to the ground beneath, I froze. My eyes fixed on the grand arc, taking in the golden letters that read EASTWOOD HIGH ACADEMY, indicating how posh the school was.

Shiny expensive cars were rushing into the parking arena.

There is no turning back Estella. It's now or never.

With my head high, I crossed the road and walked inside the campus. I could hear some girls gasp and others whisper among themselves as I passed by.

I'm pretty sure that almost everyone recognized me. My hair was the same straight dark brown, almost black. I was wearing my old uniform. Everything was the same except for the heels and red lipstick.

For some reason, I didn't feel like wearing the lipstick or the heels. Instead, I settled for the baby pink lip gloss and my black chunky sneakers.

East High was huge. Practically like a mini university. That's why only trust fund babies could afford to join here.

I knew these hallways like the back of my hand. Without any difficulty, I reached the principal's office.

Knocking twice, I turned the knob and entered.

Mr Bruke was the same as two years ago. I would say, that before he was half bald, and now he is very close to becoming bald. Well, the perks of tolerating mydaddy'sgothugeassmoney kids.

"You never change Estella," he muttered without even glancing up from the files he was reading, referring to how I always knock twice and enter without waiting.

I smile to myself and occupy the chair opposite him. He finally closed his file and looked at me. Walter Burke was a kind and very soft-hearted man. He can be strict sometimes, but he always supported me back then.

"How are you, Estella? I heard about what happened."

"Could have been better." I shrugged nonchalantly, not commenting on the last part.

He hummed in response and passed me my new schedule and locker key. I thanked him and stood up since my first class would start in a few minutes after promising him that I would come and talk to him when I got free.

"Estella?".

I halted with my hand on the cold doorknob and turned back and looked at him over my shoulder.

"Stay away from any kind of trouble, because this time it will be hard for me to choose you over them."

"I will," I promised.

But I didn't know how long I would keep my promise.

I had only 10 mins before my first class began. Ughh! Why does it have to be history?

I decided to head to my locker and take off my extra books. The hallway was not much crowded, just a few students passing by.

I shrieked when someone jumped at me from behind and tackled me onto the ground suddenly. The other person's body crashed on top of me, causing me to hiss in pain.

" What the-"

Blond hairs covered my face as I struggled to push off the person's body. But I stopped struggling when I heard the person speak.

" You bitch, how dare you return after ghosting for two years? "
