Rosa sat in the hallway, listening carefully as her sister and Jenna talked. Tears were in her eyes. Her and Elena were adopted.

Elena ran up the stairs about to go into her room when she saw Rosa walking into her own room. Elena was going to say something, help comfort her sister. They were in this together after all, but she didn't.

Instead Elena sat in her room, Rosa sat in hers. They didn't talk for a while. When Elena had finally come into Rosa's room, she wasn't alone. She had brought Damon Salvatore with her.

"What are you doing?" Rosa asked as Elena helped her sister stand up and Damon placed his hands on her shoulders. His blue eyes staring directly into Rosa's brown ones. "Elena?"

"It'll be over in a minute." Elena answered.

Damon stared at the girl, "You don't remember the fact that you are adopted. You never heard Elena and Jenna's conversation. You've been in your room all day...avoiding your homework."

Rosa nodded and her sister and Damon left her alone. Jenna came into her nieces room not long after.

"Hey, Rosa." She said.

"Hi, Jenna. I know, I said I would do my homework, but I didn't. I was wondering if maybe you could possibly...talk to Alaric for me."

Jenna looked at the girl confused. She would have sworn that Elena would have told Rosa by now. She thought she heard Rosa crying, but she was wrong. Or at least that's what she thought.

Jenna never told Rosa that she was adopted.

Rosa gasped. She backed into the wall, knocking over the family picture. Elena and Stefan turned towards the girl.

"Rosa—"

"Get away from me!" Rosa screamed at her sister.

"Rosa you're bleeding, just let me help you."

Rosa shook her head, trying to get as far away from Stefan Salvatore as she could. "Don't come near me...either of you!" She shouted.

"Elena..." Stefan's voice was a low whisper, but Rosa could still here him.

Suddenly Stefan was standing in front of the girl, his eyes connecting with hers.

"You don't remember what happened today. You remember having a good day with me and Elena and then you went back home. That's it."

"That's it." Rosa mumbled.

Stefan and Elena gave each other sad looks as Elena watched her sister forget another day.

"Damon get off of her!" Elena screamed as Damon Salvatore bit into Rosa's neck.

She wanted to scream or push him away. She wanted to do something, but she couldn't. She couldn't move. She stood there as all of the blood was sucked out of her.

Rosa could feel herself slowly slipping away. Until Damon stepped away. Rosa and Damon looked down at the same time to see Damon's stomach punctured with a wooden stake. He was gone before anyone could say anything else.

Rosa fell to the floor.

Elena grabbed her phone and called Stefan. He was there quickly and Rosa drank some of his blood, healing almost instantly. She was then compelled. Again.

"So both of the Salvatore brothers are vampires and my brother tried to become a vampire? Bonnie's a witch and so is her grandmother. And you have a crazy doppelgänger vampire weirdo. That's insane!" Rosa shouted.

"I didn't want you to know." Elena said softly.

"So, you're going to compel me again? Oh yeah, I read your stupid diary. Compelling Jeremy also, not cool."

"Rosa you don't understand."

"Why is it that you get to know. You get to date you vampire boyfriend and you and Bonnie get to have your lives with supernatural creatures. You aren't having memories erased from your brain. What gives you the right to chose who gets to know the secret. Who gets to remember. Why is it that you get to have everything and here I am getting all of my memories erased?"!

"Because, I'm trying to protect you!" Elena shouted.

Rosa shook her head, "Shut up!"

"You don't belong in all of this, Rosa." Elena said. "Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted it."

Rosa froze. She was thinking back to when she read Elena's diary. She had write that their parents knew about vampires and the cabin was filled with stakes and other vampire hunting gear.

"I get it now. Just another thing that makes you more like them. Let's you be their legacy. Only you get this! No! I want something, I want to know about the supernatural."

"I'm sorry, Rosie." Elena said softly.

Suddenly Stefan was in front of the girl and that's where the memory stops.

Rosa's eyes shot open and a loud gasp escaped her. She sat up and looked around her surroundings. She definitely wasn't at home.

"Good morning." Rosa looked around following the voice. That's when her eyes reached Klaus, standing in front of the door.

Rosa stood up and walked towards Klaus and pushed him against the wall. "What did you do to me!" She screamed.

"Don't act dumb. Despite your act we both know you are a very smart girl." Rosa glared at him and pushed him.

"You killed me." She said softly as she walked over to the bed she was previously laying on and sat down.

"You're in transition."

Rosa looked at him and then down at the floor. "No."

"What?"

Rosa looked up at the Original. "I won't. Might as well kill me...again."

"That won't happen. As much as I would love to give you the choice, I can't. You see, I need to make sure that I have leverage. The Salvatore brothers care very much for their sweet Elena. Who knows, maybe enough to let themselves and their friends die. But Elena would never allow her own sister to die for her."

"You sure about that." Rosa muttered under her breath. Rosa looked up at Klaus and frowned. "I knew it was a lie." She said with a sad smile.

"What?"

She shook her head, "You don't care about me one bit."

"That not tr—"

"You killed me Klaus! Out of spite. To save yourself. Whatever. I'm dead because of you. If you cared about me, you would never have done that."

Klaus smirked at the girl. "Or maybe it's exactly why I did it. Now we can spend an eternity together." Rosa slapped Klaus in the face and walked away. "We really need to make you slapping me less of a habit."

"Really, it's my favorite part of all our interactions." She said. "Maybe you'll get mad enough to kill me...oh wait, you already did."

Klaus sighed. "Being a vampire is wonderful. Immortality, forever young and beautiful." Klaus smiled at Rosa, but she just glared at him. "You never have to worry about your future which I know you'll like."

Rosa looked up at him and shook her head. "Why? Because I had no future. Believe it or not, but I did want a life. Maybe I wouldn't be a doctor or anything important, but I still wanted to grow up. I wanted a family!" She shouted.

"Why? So you could try to fix your horrible family by making a better one."

"No, so I could be human. Be a mother. Have kids. You took that away from me."

"Let's be honest Rosa, you would have been a terrible mother. It's not in your nature. You are meant to be a vampire."

Rosa looked down at her feet. Was Klaus right? Rosa couldn't have a family. She didn't get along with anyone and the first person she's ever had anything close to feelings about is Klaus Mikaelson. A thousand year old evil vampire.

"Blood makes me want to puke."

"Not anymore."

Rosa didn't say anything for a moment. Trapped in her thoughts. "Promise me something."

Klaus raised his eyebrow, "Anything."

"Don't let me go near my friends and family. I don't..."

"You don't want to hurt them." Klaus finished, but he could tell that wasn't what Rosa was trying to say.

She sighed and ran her hand through her hair, "I don't want them to see me like this." Klaus nodded and was about to walk away when he saw Rosa holding her head, her eyes shut.

"Rosalina?"

The girl looked up at him. She was confused. "Is it normal to get flashbacks or memories of things you don't remember when you become a vampire?"

"It is when you're friends with so many."

"You're going to keep our promise right?" Klaus nodded. "Good because I want to kill Elena." She told him.

Klaus shook his head softly, "We'll get working on a daylight ring soon." Rosa nodded and Klaus left her alone.

Rosalina Gilbert was a vampire. Or at least she would be when Klaus forces the blood down her throat. Rosa decided that until then, she was dying. Technically she'll never be alive again, but at least she could get a proper goodbye to herself.

Rosa sat in the room for about an hour before getting bored. Klaus didn't leave her phone or her notebook in the room. There wasn't even a tv.

"Alaric Saltzman just tried to kill me." Rosa stopped when she heard the familiar voice of Rebekah Mikaelson.

"Alaric Saltzman is supposed to be dead." Klaus responded.

Rosa continued to walk along the wall of the hallway. Trying to stay out of there earshot. "Well, he's not and he's a vampire thanks to mother's spell with the white oak stake that can't kill him. He's strong, Nik. Too Strong."

"What?" Rosa came out of hiding. Rebekah's mouth hung open as she stared at Rosa and then Klaus.

"What in the bloody hell is she doing here?" Rebekah asked her brother angrily.

"She can hear you." Rosa answered with a smirk. "Alaric's alive?" She asked them, now in a softer voice.

"Sort of." Rebekah answered. "He's a vampire now."

Rosa looked down at the floor. She didn't know if she was supposed to be happy or not. This wasn't how it was supposed to happen. But he's alive.

"Where is he now?" Klaus asked.

"He's stuck at the school without a daylight ring, but as soon as night falls he'll come after us. We need to leave now." Rebekah said.

Klaus turned to Rosa. She wasn't leaving and Klaus knew that. "Fine. I'll collect Elena, we'll be on our way." Klaus sighed. "Rosa, you need to drink and finish the transition."

Rebekah gasped as she looked at the two. "You turned the poor girl? Klaus we don't have time for this."

"It won't take long. Rosa will drink and then we'll get Elena—"

"Forget Elena! You don't need anymore stupid hybrids!" The blonde shouted at her brother.

Klaus shook his head, "What I need is protection from Esther's continued assaults against us."

"We'll protect each other, like we always have. Always and forever, Nik."

"I'm not leaving without her." Klaus said and Rosa sighed.

"I'm leaving now. You can either walk out that door with me or you are on your own." Klaus looked at his sister, but said nothing. Even Rosa expected an answer of some kind. "Fine. Trust your hybrids over your family. Let your spite be the death of you, see if I care." Rebekah walks out of the room and right into Tyler. "Move it, sire boy!"

Rosa's eyes widen as Tyler walks into the room. "What's her deal?" Klaus says nothing and suddenly Tyler looks up at Rosa. "What are you doing here?" He asks.

"Uhm...there's a perfectly good reason for it." Rosa tells him, trying to stall. "I'm dead. I'm a ghost and you're only seeing me because...you can see ghosts. Congratulations." Klaus and Tyler look at Rosa and she shrugged and laughs awkwardly. "It was worth a shot."

Klaus rolled his eyes and walked up to Tyler. "You tell no one that she was here. You might as well forget it yourself." Tyler nodded and continued on with his business.

"I panicked."

"A ghost?"

"I can be a ghost. Like one of those creepy, sexy ghosts that kind of just appear at random in the mirror or something." Klaus raised his eyebrow.

"Why aren't you in the room?"

"I was bored. Also there's no tv. And you took my phone...and my journal. I need those back."

"I didn't take anything."

"Then they're still at my house and I need them." Klaus sighed and walked away. Rosa walked after him. "So are we sure there's no way to reverse this whole vampire thing because you've spent like 2 hours with me and I'm annoying. There's a reason why people don't like me. So you know, just hit that little reverse button and I'll be on my way."

Klaus continued to walk away.

"Ok, I'll be in my room. Dying. A slow and painful death." Rosa shook her head. "Ok, whatever."
