2. NICKNAMES
when the love interest gives the main character a cute (or annoying shns) nickname !!! aka bellarke

3. WOMANISER IN LOVE
when a boy, at the beginning of the book, is shown to have a lot of encounters with random woman. but when he starts liking the main character, he starts declining women and having eyes on for her/him.
this is OLD and sometimes problematic but..... i love this

4. FAKE LOVE TO REAL LOVE
when they pretend to love / date eachother then eventually get used to it / start actually loving eachother.
this is also OLD but i luv

5. OC IS A SECRET AGENT
this gets OLD and repetitive if its done in the same way in countless books but when its done in a different / more interesting way i lovvve

6. LOVE AND DENIAL
most likely a one sided relationship, the love interest is in denial and ignoring the fact that they're in love. eventually, a situation happens where they realise how bad it is / or blurt it out. the anGST i thrive when this happens in a book or show

7. DRUNK CONFESSIONS
doesnt have to be romantic but its a bonus if it is i guess! its so dramatic and keeps the scene interesting

8. ANTI HERO ONLY GOOD FOR THE MAIN CHARACTER

9. TURNS INTO A QUEEN / LEADER
i love this mostly in books because its done better than in fanfictions but yESSS MY FAV TROPE i love when we read / watch a main characters journey into getting the throne and turning into a queen / leader.
(also suggest some ya books that do that thx)

10. COUPLE ARE SEPARATED
okay so this is when after the love interests meet and get to know each other and all, they're separated and cant see eachother. this mostly happens around the second book in a series (ex. chaos walking, twilight, unravel me, and a lotttt more.) and just builds angst and the reunion is always dramatically amazing???
