I surprisingly woke up to a very beautiful morning.

In the car.

He left me in the car.

I am stating to think that the fact that he forget my name is not the lowest he can get to. He literally left me in the car, I am dead! The guy really hates me, doesn't he?

I started laughing from nowhere. I mean, it was funny. I woke up in a car because his ego didn't let him act differently towards me, and every chance he gets, he shows me that what he feels towards me is pure hate.

I have nothing to do for the next few weeks, so I decided, I am going to make the asshole crazy. He can't hate me more than he hates me now. I left the car with a smile on my face, I finally found something to do. And this something should be interesting.

I got in to the house, ready for my challenge. He was sitting on the white kitchen table, with coffee in one hand, and his phone on the other.

Let's do it!

I came behind him and I took his phone from his hand in one quick move. I then walked around him so I can face him. I saw confusion on his face, it's better than anger that's for sure. I looked down on his phone in my hands, and I started to read what I saw out loud under the name Lucy.

"I am free tonight, do you want me to come?" Right after that I started laughing, this is going to be better than interesting.

I started to type back the answer but he took his phone away from me with a lot of force. When his phone was in his hands, he locked it and put it on the table. He looked at me straight in the eyes but I just couldn't stop laughing.

The fact that he is a fuck boy passed me dead.

He is hot, but he is scary too. How do women even look at him without peeing in their pants? The laughing slowly died, and when I completely calmed down I managed to say:

"Is it only with me that you are that scary?" He didn't reply, but he didn't break the stare either.

"You know that you can't sleep with other women now, right Jones?" I said with a smile on my face.

He didn't answer, of course, but he was still staring.

"I will sleep with whoever I want Mariana." He suddenly said.

He broke the stare and stood up, his coffee still in his hands. I started laughing again. Who is he trying to convince?

"Jones, I know that you know my name. You can stop pretending now." I managed to say without getting any laugh on the way. He drank a little more from his coffee, and then put it back down on the table.

"Don't ever talk to me again smiley face." He said with so much anger in his eyes but still managed to fake a laugh, then he went down stairs after he took his phone. As soon as he was out of sight, I started laughing like crazy again. This is going to be much better than I thought.

*********

I spent the rest of the day doing nothing.

Literally nothing.

I saw the boxes of clothes from my house in my room, but I couldn't bother dealing with them, so right now they are next to my bedroom door staring at me while I am in bed, thinking. Thinking about Lucy.

 Who is she?

Is she dating the asshole?

Is she the reason why he is being so close and cold?

I wanted to ask him, but I knew that he was still mad, so I decided not to bother him much in the next hours. That decision that I had with myself was kind of off by now, it was 11pm.

It's time to have some fun.

I stood up on my feet and walked towards the door. This time the house was not dark. In fact, all the lights were on, and it was all because of me! I walked down to the kitchen to drink water and when I was about to take a glass from the shelf I heard a kind voice.

"Hey dear, I put your shopping bags in Mr.Jones's room." Someone said behind me. I turned around and saw her.

It was her.

The women from that night, the women that I thought will kill me.

"Oh. Thank you..."

This is awkward.

"Jane." She said and gave me her hand to shake, I did, with a big smile on my face.

"Your smile is beautiful dear, and I don't say it that often." She told me, a warm smile on her face.

"Thank you, I am Mariah." I said, my smile even bigger now.

"I am sorry about the other night, I was kind of..."

"It's ok dear, I can get kind of creepy sometimes, I know." She said and we both started laughing.

I felt really bad, she looks like an amazing women.

"I am very sorry Jane, I mean it." I said and looked at my rings, too embarrassed to look at her in the eyes, ugh I am dumb.

"Mariah, I was serious when I said that it was ok." She said in her kind voice.

"Thank you Jane." I came closer and hugged her.

After I released the hug, an idea came to my mind, an idea that she can help me with.

"Hey Jane, do you know where the assho... Kevin is?" ops. She gave me a weird stare but then answered:

"He is in his office, downstairs second door to your right." Well, that was too easy.

"Thank you!" I said before I ran downstairs.

Without even knocking, I opened the second door to my right. The first thing I saw was him, sitting on a big black chair beside a black dest with lots of books on it. On the other side of the desk were two black chairs that were not as big as his.

He was surrounded by wooden shelfs with thick books on them, and in front of him was a laptop that he was staring at. He didn't notice me come in, or he didn't want too, but I still took it as a chance and walked fast towards the black chairs in front of him. I took a seat but he ignored me. He knew I was there, and he ignored me. Let's see if he can ignore me after that.

"So Jones, I was wondering what a gentleman like you can do in his office at 11pm?"

I said to try to get his attention.

It didn't work.

He was still staring at his laptop, this time, typing something.

"Hello? Are you there?" I asked him while waving my hands close to his face.

He ignored.

"I just came here to tell you that Lucy was here, looking for you, but I told her that if I see her one more time, it will not end very well you know... Because I am your wife... and you are my husband... and we are married... and we need to face her together... because we are married... and because as a married couple we need to try not to cheat... because we are married.. and as.."

"Can you shut up!?" He was looking up now, at me, finally! I saw anger in his eyes, but what's new?

"Glad to know you can talk" I said, a smile on my face.

"Get out of this room." He said with fire in his eyes and pointed at the door. I ignored his comment.

"So... Is Lucy coming today?" I asked with curiosity in my eyes.

"I thought you scared her off when she came." He said angrily, looking back at his laptop.

"Well... I didn't. Is she coming?" I asked again.

"Why do you even care?" He asked me.

"I don't." I simply said.

"It's just that I have the right to know if my husband is cheating, and if he is..." I stopped and waited for him to look at me in the eyes. At the end, he did.

"Can I cheat too?" I asked.

He ignored, and looked back at his laptop. Does it mean I can? It does, right? Usually when people ignore a question, their answer is yes.

"Just get out of my office Mariana." He said with no emotion. I started laughing loudly.

"You are a funny person Jones." I told him and closed his laptop.

"Leave Mariana, I am serious." He said, anger again in his eyes.

"I am not leaving until you call me by my real name." I said while I was leaning back on my chair.

"You don't know what you are getting yourself into." He said, not in a kind voice.

"Believe me, I know I don't." I smiled.

"But I have nothing better to do, so why not?" The smile was still on my face.

"Stop smiling, it's annoying." He said and opened back his laptop. I laughed, what a weird thing to say.

"Stop laughing Mariana, you are getting on my nerves." He looked mad, but then again, what's new?

"Laughing burns calories." I told him, feeling smart.

"That's why you are kind of fat, no offence." I laughed again, but I didn't get any reaction out of him.

I was trying to make him mad, because it was obvious that he could be a model if he wanted, without even trying that much. But he didn't say anything, and just stared at his laptop, reading something, again.

"You are a very..."

"Was I talking with water in my mouth when I told you not to talk to me today?" He asked me, without looking up.

"Does it mean I can talk to you tomorrow?" I asked in an innocent voice.

"No, no! You can never talk to me! Now get out of this room before Mariana, before you regret it." He yelled at me and pointed at the door again with fire in his eyes.

I was scared now. I think I crossed the line with him this time. I think it was too much. I stood up and walked out of the room with my head down.

He won this one, I admitted. I closed his door and walked back to my room, ready to take a shower and sleep. Sleep. Even the word sounds good. Tomorrow I will get my point, and we will be even.
