Sixty:

"Mira!" Lisa shrieked, bolting through the hall and attacking me into a hug.

I stumbled back giggling slightly, "I missed you too."

She pulled away with a playful look on her face, "I didn't miss you, I just thought you were dead. Where did you go? I thought you'd be back a day ago."

"Yeah so did I but shit happened," I sighed softly.

Looking past her I noticed at a picnic bench was Leon. It seemed she was having lunch with Leon – it warmed my heart. Of course, Lisa would always miss Junior, but at least this way she could still have a brotherly bond. She truly deserved it.

"Good to see you alive," Leon commented as I sat down.

I smiled slightly, "Hello to you to."

Sebastian sat beside me and instantly Leon's silver eyes slide to him. Leon frowned and I could feel tension rising. Lisa sat back down beside Leon and she gave me a glance – indicating she felt it too.

"Do you know each other?" I asked instantly knowing that was a mistake.

Leon smirked coldly, "How could I forget Maxwell's favorite rat?"

"I'd rather be a rat than a dog playing fetch for him," Sebastian replied not missing a beat."

My teeth dug into my lower lip as Leon glared hotly at Sebastian.

"What the fuck is the problem here?" Lisa then snapped.

Leon pushed his plate away, "Why don't you ask the rat? He loves to talk."

"I didn't tell Maxwell about your sister," Sebastian snapped suddenly angry, "But maybe I should have eh? After you went out of your way to track me down and bring me back when I fucking didn't want to. Can't do that anymore can I – thanks for that."

The two seemed furious with each other – it was an anger I hadn't seen before in that. Like watching a tiger and a wolf square off, snarling fangs and circling each other. I could practically see the anger crackle through the air.

"Ok calm down," I chuckled awkwardly trying to peace-make, "no need to get so mad."

They didn't seem to care for my words and soon Leon was on his feet, "You're a fucking liar. You got that man killed and you know it."

"Bullshit," Sebastian snickered, "He was on his final strike for disobeying Maxwell so many times anyways, not like he tried to hide his relationship anyways. Lori knew that, hell she has no problem with me so why do you?"

"Because I know the snake you are," Leon hissed.

I had been so wrapped up with the conversation that I hadn't noticed the ring of guards that formed around out table. Lisa and I looked at each other before I was clasping my hand over Sebastian's mouth as she grabbed ahold of Leon's arm and wrenched him to sit down.

The two then noticed our crowd and grew quiet – silently fuming.

I smiled facing a guard, "There's no problem here officer. They were just having a slight disagreement but nothing to fret about."

My hopes instantly fell as an Asian man wearing a white suit stepped forward. Power radiated off him as he wore a smile with no feeling. Something was truly off about this man and I didn't want to know what he wanted.

"Pearson," Leon greeted slightly shocked.

The man's slid over to him for a moment before flickering back to me, "Mr. Piers, it seems you kept something valuable from President Maxwell."

Sebastian's hand found my thigh and gripped tightly, "And what would that be?"

The man kept smiling – his words turning my veins into ice, "Subject zero."

It felt as if time suddenly slowed. Guards moved forward as panic filled me. In a quick motion, Sebastian was pulling me up and onto the table as hands reached for me. Lisa screamed as as guard had shoved Sebastian to the side. Leon had elbowed a guard in the nose before pushing Lisa away from the picnic bench.

"Move Mira!" Lisa screamed, "Run!"

Sebastian was hit in the face with a baton, Leon was pinned on the bench. I was in such shock, I could do nothing but stay in my position on the table. My eyes flickered to the man – Pearson – who stayed standing and smiling.

Panic.

Rage.

Suddenly something broke inside me – I wanted to protect these people. Hands grabbed my ankle. I screamed, a noise that sounded entirely distant. My hands moved, finding a neck attached to a body before I was snapping it. I launched from the table and onto the floor, landing like an animal. Quickly my eyes flickered around, assisting the scene. A guard had Sebasitan pinned to the floor, and another held Leon against the table.

I didn't like that.

I snarled, kicking backward – the table shoved towards Leon, catching the guard off-guard, before prancing forward and grabbing ahold of the guard (who held Sebastian) and yanked him forward. His elbow made a loud POP and he screamed in pain.

An animalistic noise escaped my lips as I then shoved him off Sebastian. He freed himself before shoving me back once more – trying to keep me away from the hands. Darkness edged my vision as I kicked one guard back, punching another.

Something pricked my side – I paused.

My name was called out, a desperate plea as numbness crept in. I moaned slightly, exhaust suddenly aching into my bones and I fell back. My head slammed against the bench, my eyes fluttered shut.

"N-No," I cried realizing the fight was over.

My eyes shut, darkness closed in.

I had lost and now, I was in the hands of Maxwell.
