One Hundred |

Silence had filled over us, and I had moved from escaping to sitting on top of one of the tables. She stood against the wall, her arms over her chest and a neutral l look on her face. Honestly, she didn't look like wouldn't care much if she had to kill me or not. Sighing softly, I looked up towards the camera. Was she waiting for orders?

"I was sent to convince you to stay," she then said.

I blinked, looking back at her, "But you're not going to?"

She shrugged, "I don't really don't care either way. To me it kind of sounds like you're trying to make the world revolve around you when in reality no one could care less."

My eyes narrowed, I got the vibe she didn't like me very much.

"Leave or don't," she replied, "But remember your decision somehow convinces those around you to obey your every command. The people here just want to survive, you don't have to like their methods but acting like a child every time something bad happens is deadly. Not to mention one of your followers is not immune."

I chuckled bitterly, "That's a lot for someone you just met."

"We have been following you since your cancer treatment," she replied, "We know everything, we know about Landon Hill, Eric Maxwell, your incidents with Oden Well, we know everything that you have done. We are not a fool, we are not childish like Eric Maxwell. This virus destroyed the world, we are thinking of the bigger picture."

"Are you serious?" I laughed, "You guys ordered the virus to be made!"

Her eyes widened for a moment, "N-No. That was the old Bio-Gen."

"Right," I snickered, "Sounds like they have you wrapped around their finger."

Ophelia frowned, "I believe in their cause."

"Is that why you left Oliver or did they really kidnap you."

This bitch didn't respond. I heard all that I needed to hear. Shoving past her, I moved to the door, and of course it was locked. This time, I shot the camera the most heated look I could muster. What were they expecting? Ophelia and I would become buddies and I'd want to stay because of that? Stupid. Not to mention she was rude as fuck.

"I control the doors," she hummed, moving to sit on the table, her legs spread.

I glanced back at her, "Ok, so open them."

"We're not done talking," she commanded, "Sit down."

I turned, baffled, "Are you joking? You came in insulting me, insulting my friends and devaluing all the shit I went through. I did not pick to get cancer as a fucking child and I did not pick to have this virus. You came in with prenotions off spying on me for years. You got to sit back and judge me, judge my decisions without being there. You got to laugh and rewind when I made the wrong decision, you got to rewind and rewatch and plan how 'thing would have been different if I was in her shoes' but you weren't and I had one life. And what about you, because to me it seems like you hide behind the association of Bio-Gen. You keep saying 'we' because you are so worried about living your own like that you pretend they need you."

She said nothing, her face revealing nothing.

"It's so easy to judge," I sniffled, my eyes growing hot with tears, "When you're not the one in my shoes. My choices had consequences, people died because I made the wrong choice and I can't go back. Every place I have been hasn't worked out because of my blood, I don't want to be a test subject, I want a life. I want to be happy."

"Why did you come here?" she hummed.

For a moment I was silent, wiping away my tears, "T-To be happy, I need to stop Maxwell. I can't live like this any longer. His existence will mean those I love will always be a target. The world will always be a target."

"You want us to go after Maxwell."

            "Yes," I breathed.

She shook her head, "That's not going to happen."

My brow rose, "So you talk for all the island?"

"The council sent me," she paused, "I am the islands current representative."

Ah. That made me think. So this island didn't have a single person in control but a council of people and this woman was not on that council. This was all important information, I made a mental note to remember this.

"I want to talk to the council."

            Her eyes narrowed, "No."

            "Yes."

            "That's not going to happen."

I shrugged, crossing my arms over my chest, "Then I'm not talking."

"Really?" she gasped, "You're being childish."

            "No I'm not."

            "Yes you are!"

            "No."

She threw up her hands, "You are the most stubborn, childish, irrational and stupid person I have ever met and I met Eric Maxwell!"

I giggled at that, "You're saying I rank higher than him?"

"I'm saying you rank lower," she snapped, "I'd just lock you in a fucking dog cage and poke you with needles if I was in charge. Not to mention a muzzle."

I had a stupid grin on my face now, "It's good you're not in charge. You're just a lap dog. Heh, looks like we have more in common than you thought."

She gasped, "We are nothing in like."

Suddenly, the door was thrown open, an older man with grey hair and a grey beard stepped through. The man was extremely fit, despite being old. He wore a white tank top which revealed his fitness, and a pair of mechanic pants? All I knew the man was extremely pissed off. Beside him, a small, young man wearing a white scientist coat seemed to hold him back.

            "Sir Sonar please!" he cried.

"Shut the fuck up!" he roared, "God damn, I am so sick of the youth living here. It's like watching two lazy cats fightin' each other. Narrow brows, you were sent in here to tell her about the island not start a dick measuring contest!"

Ophelia instantly bowed, "I-I'm sorry Sir."

            I snickered, "Narrow brows."

He turned his attention onto me, "Who the hell are you laughing at Red eyes? We let you out of your room to be productive and learn, not to start fights with others on the damn island."

            I frowned, growing silent.

"God damn," he breathed, calming slightly and holding his face in his hands, "Sometimes I wished that damn virus took me years ago."

"S-Sir please!" the young man cried, "Dr. Brown is going to be so mad. She said you weren't supposed to be in the labs, you were only allowed in the security room!"

He pulled his arm out of the man's grasp, "Ah, that woman can't do shit."

I edged closer to Ophelia, who edged closer to me.

"Who cannot do what?" a female voice hummed coldly.

I gasped, Lilith Brown appeared in the door way. She had her arms crossed over her chest, staring at the old brute that barged in. He turned to her his eyes narrowed. The young man instantly rushed over to her, apologizing profusely.

"Who is that guy?" I whispered to Ophelia.

She whispered back, "That's Sir Sonar. He's on the council, in charge for island defence. He also comes to the labs sometimes and checks in on the security of buildings. He also is in charge of building stuff on the island."

            "Ooh," I hummed.

"What are you doing here Sonar?" Lilith demanded.

Sonar grunted, "I was checking in on the cameras in the lab and saw this fucking mess. Real good job trying to convince Red eyes to stay."

Ophelia gasped softly, "And they really don't like each other."

Lilith's brow went up, "Do you have a better idea?"

"Oh shit," I giggled back, "The drama. Tell me more."

She chuckled, "Wait until you meet Father Antonio and Lieutenant Samson."

            Oooh.

"Hey!" Sonar suddenly snapped at us, "Stop gossiping like birds. Come with me."

            I blinked, like birds?

"Where are we going Sir?" Ophelia asked.

He grunted, "We're going to get Red eyes some damn clothes, then we're going to my workshop. I'm going to punish you two real good, then you're going to take Red eyes on a tour of the island."

My guard rose and I hissed, "Punishment?"

"Did I stutter?" he snapped, opening another door, "Go change."

I frowned, stepping into the room. He closed the door behind me. In the white room was a chair which had folded clothing on it. I pulled on the clothing: a bra, panties, a pair of black jeans, and a white t-shirt, along with socks and a pair of boots.

Running my fingers through my hair, I stepped out of the room.

He nodded in approval, "Glad it fits. Come on."

Then he lead me and Ophelia down the hall to a door, when he opened it, it opened to the outside. I gasped in shock. It was a large city, bustling with people. Real human people, and real buildings with electricity and working cars. As he lead us down the road, we passed a kid on a bike, then another on a skateboard.

            "Wow," I breathed softly.

Sonar lead us down a dirt path to a smaller, garage building with a large yard in front of it which had one broken bird bath. Beside the garage was a long driveway which had an RV parked on it. He walked up to the large door before hitting a button. Inside was a carpenter's workshop. My eyes widened in surprise. He hummed, before looking towards us. My delight turned to dead as I wondered what the punishment could be. Torture maybe?

"Well then!" Sonar said, clapping his hands together, "Punishment."

            I held my breath.

"You two will make my lawn a new bird bath."

            I exhaled in shock, "What?"
