The sun rays greeted me shyly through the curtains. I opened my eyes slowly as I stretched and became familiar with my surroundings. How did I end up in Nico's bed? Last thing I remember, we were dancing in the art gallery.

"Yes, she's asleep." I heard Nico say, the bedroom door was open and Nico was near. "We had fun, yeah. It went pretty well, I made a few contacts and sold important pieces." He chuckled. "I guess, yeah. I wouldn't say so, though." He paused for a moment. "Uhm, I like pretty much everything. Yeah, I love them. Okay, I'll tell her. Thanks, Eleanor."

Eleanor? Why was Nico talking to my mom?

Just then, Nico entered the bedroom, my phone in hand.

"Bonjour, marmotte." Nico chuckled when he saw me.

I frowned. I didn't know if he really believed I was beginning to understand French or something.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." He sat down beside me, feet on the floor. He smoothed down my hair.

"Good morning." I mumbled. "Why were you talking with my mom?"

"Oh," he half smiled. "She invited us for lunch at your house. She said your nephew was visiting."

I couldn't keep the smile from my face. "Trevor's coming?"

Nico nodded.

"Yay." I lied back down and sighed. "That's my mom's way of apologizing, you know?"

"What?"

"Giving you food."

"Oh." He smiled. "Then apology accepted."

I chuckled and stretched once again.

"You hungry?" He asked, tapping my stomach.

I was, so I nodded eagerly. I still had a lot of questions but I guess I could ask him throughout breakfast.

"You talked in your sleep again."

"I do that all the time." I explained.

"You were laughing." He smiled, reminiscing as he made some eggs. "At first it was scary, I didn't know what was going on, but then I thought it was cute." He handed me a plate and he took one for him, sitting in front of me at the aisle. "You said something about cider, so I guess you were dreaming about the grown up night you had yesterday." He mocked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"I'm not drinking again, I can't remember anything." I chuckled.

Nico stayed quiet, letting his fork on the table. "You don't... remember anything?"

I swallowed my eggs and frowned, staring at his face. He looked disappointed, as if I had just given him bad news. Then it clicked. "I mean... after I had those drinks. I- I remember we kissed." I said, taking more of my food so I didn't have to look at him.

Nico smirked, but he didn't look at me as he grabbed his fork again. "But you don't remember coming here."

"Nope." I looked down at my clothes. I was wearing a big T-shirt that covered my underwear and some fluffy socks. "I don't even remember changing into these clothes."

"Oh." Nico cleared his throat. "That's 'cause I changed you."

"You saw me... in my underwear?" I widened my eyes. God, I wasn't wearing any sports underwear, like I usually did. I was wearing lacy lilac underwear that my mom bought for me so I would change once in a while from my athletic ones. I never did, so they were brand new.

"Yep." He smiled cheekily. "And I have to say say, it was a pleasant surprise."

"Nico!" I threw him my fork and he caught it mid-air.

"Whoa." He raised a finger. "First of all, that's dangerous. And second of all, I knew you'd be more comfortable. You should be thanking me." He smiled again, handing me the fork. "I saw you at the beach, it's no big deal."

"But I wasn't... this underwear is..."

"You mean sexy? Yes, it is. But if you recall correctly from my exhibit, my imagination goes way further." He smiled.

I rolled my eyes as I covered my face. He was insufferable.

"I'm sorry I threw a fork at you."

Nico chuckled. "Yeah, that wasn't your best idea."

"Good morning, guys." Riley walked into the kitchen, smiling at us.

I instantly blushed. I didn't know she was here. "Good morning."

Luca walked behind her, wearing nothing but a pair of boxers. "Morning, guys. Quite the night, huh?" He laughed, wiggling his eyebrows.

Riley smacked his arm. "Luca, go put on something." Luca rolled his eyes and disappeared through the door.

"You guys snuck away yesterday." Riley smirked, leaning on the counter.

"Yeah, Cara was tired."

"It was my first time drinking." I excused myself.

"Really?" She asked surprised. "Why?"

I explained to her the whole thing about my meds until Luca appeared again, this time wearing a T-shirt.

"Ace invited us to a surprise party for Martina's birthday tomorrow." Luca announced.

"All of us?" Asked Nico before taking a sip of coffee.

"Yeah. You have to come, too, Cara." Luca pointed at me. "We need to talk about a few things."

"What things?" I asked, furrowing my brow.

"Luca." Riley warned him in a low tone.

"I'm just kidding, we'll have fun." He glanced back at me and covered with his hand the view of his face from Riley.

"I'm not kidding." He mouthed.

My brothers didn't stop throwing me glances here and there. They had smirks on their faces and I just wanted to wipe them off.

I had Justin on my lap as we ate. My mom arranged a big table in the front yard, with a lot of food. Oli and Oscar were fighting over who would sit beside Nico so he ended up sitting in the middle.

"Nico, try the ribs." My mom pointed to a plate.

"Okay." He smiled and reached for it. I threw him a knowingly look and he nodded.

Translation: Nico, I'm sorry.

"How's the food? Nobody's saying anything!" My mom exclaimed. "Jenna eat." She gestured for Ash's fiancée to look at the table and to jstop looking at the baby. Trevor was crying. "I'll go see what's the matter." My mom picked the baby up from the stroller and went inside.

After just five minutes, Trevor was asleep and placed in the stroller again.

"Babe, we need to come see your mom more." Jenna said.

Ash smiled and wrapped an arm around her, kissing her temple. "We'll get better at it."

"Whenever you want, sweetheart." My mom tapped Jenna's hand. "Do you wanna have kids, Nico?"

I coughed. "Mom."

"I'm just curious, honey." My mom batted her eyelashes at me as she cocked her head. I couldn't help but turn to look at him, I was curious, too.

"I- Uhm- No, I don't think so." Nico smiled politely and kept on eating.

"Heard that, sis? You're made for each other." Ben chuckled.

He was beside me so I smacked his head upside down. He just laughed as he rubbed the spot. "We're not together." I told him.

Nico was staring at me, a little cheeky smile on his face. "We're not?" He mouthed.

I frowned. What was he talking about?

I opened my mouth, but my mom interrupted me. "Cara doesn't want to have kids either." She explained. "I really don't mind, I'm 44 and already have two grandsons, you guys are making me old."

"You're 45, mom." Oli pointed out.

"Well, Nico didn't need to know that." She tried to fight a smile.

Everyone laughed.

Justin looked at me with a smile. I didn't know if he understood what we were talking about but he looked happy. I was sure he did, he was really smart. He just had difficulties expressing it. He handed me a French fry and I ate it from his hand, biting his fingers gently and making a roar sound. He laughed and handed me another one, and I did the same.

This little guy's laughter made me warm inside. When he got tired of the joke, he kept on eating by himself. I glanced at Nico and discovered he was looking at me, a little smile on his face.

Nico grabbed a French fry and handed it to me. I rolled my eyes amused and pushed his hand away from me.

"You don't want it?" Oscar asked in the middle of us both.

"Nope." Nico chuckled, giving the French fry to him.

Nico and I were lying on top of the roof. He had learned to love it, just as much as me. My family was still in the front yard, the adults having a few drinks while the kids played with the swing.

I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday's kiss. I wondered if Nico was thinking about it, too. I felt his fingers brush against mine and I turned my head to look at him. His deep blue eyes were already bored into mine.

We stared at each other for a few minutes, our breathing becoming heavier. My heart began to pound hard against my rib cage when Nico's face approached mine and slowly brushed his lips against mine. I kissed him back, moving my body so I was closer to him. His lips were soft but firm, not wanting to rush anything.

All of sudden, the memories from the night before came back to mind. I gasped and pulled away, my face as red as it could possibly be.

"Oh my god." I breathed out. "Last night I- I told you... I told you to have sex with me." I closed my eyes hard in embarrassment.

I heard Nico laugh. "So now you remember."

"I'm so sorry." I opened my eyes. "I- I was drunk. You were right. I'm sure we can... we can try again." I frowned. I still wasn't sure if I was ready to do it, but if he wanted to. "Some other time, I don't know-"

"Cara, stop." Nico sat up on his elbow, his left hand coming to meet my cheek. He frowned, staring at me with determination. "I-" he struggled to find the words. "I don't do this just 'cause I want to have sex with you."

"Then what did you mean when you said you liked me more than a friend? Because seriously, I'm so confused." I tightened my lips, searching in his eyes the answer.

His frown didn't soften. "I thought it was obvious..." he whispered, his eyes studying my face.

"Well, Nico." I scoffed as I rolled my eyes. "At this point, I thought we let pretty clear that nothing is obvious to me."

Nico breathed in, his hand unconsciously pressing my cheek a little tighter.

"Cara, I'm in love with you."
