It has now been a couple of weeks since Todd and I said 'I love you' to each other and when he told me about practically all I need to know about his past.

We all have a past-ESPECIALLY me, but he doesn't care about that and neither do I about his.

Today, while my grandmother and I were sitting down making the dough for her to make her homemade baked pies she wanted to drop off at a few of her friends house today, she brought up something I had dreaded since I came here.

"Annie, sweetie." She begins.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Honey, you know you can tell me anything, right?" She asks.

"Of course." I smile at her.

"Tell me then, who is Danny?" She comes right out and asks, with a hint of worry in the tone of her voice.

"Danny?" I asked trying to think to myself how in the hell she knows about him. Oh my god, Todd didn't tell her, did he?!

"Yeah, some guy called the other day, I forgot to tell you and he said he was a very good friend of yours and was worried about you because you had taken off without telling him." She says while continuing to chop up some celery as we were finishing preparing some ingredients for the dinner we were making tonight before we went off to play Bingo tonight.

That son-of-a-bitch found me....found her.
So I next stop what I'm doing for a moment and then let out a sigh before sitting back in my chair and finally begin to tell her everything.

"He's my ex-boyfriend. He was the one I dated for a while and was the reason I hadn't stayed in touch as much as I would have liked to. In fact, he's one of the reasons I came back here." I start telling her, nervously.

I noticed when I looked at her briefly that she is giving me a look that shows she doesn't believe me entitely-as if I am hiding something or and more information.

She stops what she's doing and leans a little closer towards me then has me look at her while she places her hand on top of mine.

"Now, tell me what is going on. I know there's more to him than what you are saying". She calls me out. I swear, deep down, I think she is a psychic or something because even when I was little, I couldn't get away with nothing because she always seemed to know.

"I'm ashamed, Nana." I started to tell her while fighting back tears.

"Ashamed of what dear?" She asks concerned and worried.

"Ashamed that I ever fell for someone like him. Someone ne you warned me about growing up and how I should avoid guys like him. But I fell for him and he entrapped him with his lies and took advantage of my low self-esteem. You raised me better than that and to make matters worse, I let him keep me from being in contact with you. Although, that was more of my doing because the more I saw his 'true' side of himself, the more scared I got in him ever finding out about you and where you lived and...." I stopped myself to look away and stop tears from falling down my face.

"But I guess it doesn't matter. He somehow found out your number. I have been trying for quite some time now to avoid him from finding my location. But looks like that didn't work out so well." I tell her.

"Oh babygirl. Why didn't you tell me in the beginning?" She asks.

"Because, like I said, I was ashamed. And I didn't want him to hurt you. But now, it seems I have no choice but to leave." I tell her through sniffles and tears.

"Well, you are right about one thing, I did raise you better. And what I mean by that is I raised you better than to run away or ever make you feel you can't talk toe about anything." She responds.

"I'm so sorry." I tell her while grabbing a tissue.

"Well, I can forgive you, because believe it or not, I was in a similar situation when I was sixteen. My parents never liked the boy I was dating and he was more trouble than he was worth, as I later has found out. But I got lucky and was able to return home after leaving him." She tells me.

I had never known that. Why didn't she ever tell me that before? Although that is probably one of the meanings behind her warnings before for me.

We soon ended up hugging each other and comforting one another then we soon after heard the door open up and in walked Todd.
