Feeling the sunrays hitting her eyes uncomfortably, she tried to cover her face with her hands to block the bright light, not yet daring to open her eyes.

But as she attempted to summon some strength in her arms, to raise them up, she found it difficult to do, even her fingers did not budge, in fact it was impossible to move at all. Why was the simple act of raising her own arm's weight, so strenuous to her?

Wait ... if she could feel the sun uncomfortable to her eyes, and certainly also sense the sheets under her arms, even though she did not move her hands in the slightest, did it mean she avoided death for one more day? It was a horrifying realization.

She felt like crying knowing that, what was the point of living. Would she spend another day counting its seconds, while staring at the ceiling?

A small whimper escaped her lips at the thought, she was scared of dying, but she was even more terrified of living.

'Ehhh ... Mrs. Aria?' She heard an unfamiliar voice calling. Which was strange as the nurses who used to do the routine care for her did so mechanically, never talking to her for the last one or two years. Not that she could condemn them, because she also did not actively try to talk to them. Losing all her mobility, other than the ability to move her hands a bit, she felt like a burden, with depression and passiveness taking over her mind.

But now, with even her hands losing their mobility, she finally lost all her independence, trapped in a sick body. It was the final straw, she had become powerless. As the cruel reality hit her deep inside her very heart, her eyes began to moist as trembling took ever, before breaking into an unstoppable sob.

'What is it? Why did you press the emergency button?' Asked another voice alarmed, also not a voice she could recognize.

'Doctor, Mrs. Aria, she is crying!' Said the nurse anxious.

'W-what?' The doctor exclaimed, before quickly coming to her bedside.

'Mrs. Aria, can you hear me?' Asked the doctor, who had already approached her bed.

Hearing the second voice, surprised her even more, this was not her doctor. A nurse would change, but the shifts of doctors never changed for more than five years. She always had the same ones.

Finally stopping her cry, she slowly opened her tear filled eyes and looked up.

Mrs. Aria, can you see me? Please answer.' The doctor said and at the same time was already verifying her pupils, trying to check if it was only a spasm, and not an actual willing act.

Having the air tub blocking her mouth she could not actually speak, so she only briefly nodded.

Once the doctor had her direct confirmation, a set of rushed checkups kept her busy for more than five to six hours. Which was strange to her, as she was considered to be in her final moments previously, and only morphine had been administered to her veins to subdue her pain, in the last period of time. There were no other treatments done, as her disease had no other solutions possible.

But now it was different, the army of doctors that came in and out of her hospital room treated her with unusual care, and kept asking every step of the way how she was, trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible.

The strangest thing, more so than their meticulous care and the fact that she did not recognize any of their faces or the environment she was currently in, was the huge protruding belly that kept poking her from within, from time to time.

Could she possibly have gained other complications other than the ones she already had? But that still did not explain their care towards her and the unfamiliar environment.

'Ouch ...' She exclaimed when all of a sudden her belly hurt again, but this time with more force.

'Are you alright?' Asked the nurse, who was currently beside her.

'Yes. It is just my belly, it hurts. Ahhh ... it hurts again. It feels like something is kicking from the inside! Why is it hurting and why is my belly so large?' Replied Aria with a bit of a hoarse voice, having had the air tubs removed after the doctors were sure she could breathe on her own, which was another thing to confuse her as she initially thought she would not be able to breathe without it.

She had not asked anything until now, she was too shocked that she was still alive, but feeling the kick she could not take it anymore.

'The pain is from the babies. They are probably happy to finally feel you move and hear your voice.' The nurse informed her enthusiastic. She was a younger nurse and one of the nurses assigned to entertain the children. It was her current duty to stay with Aria and keep her company.

'Babies? What babies?' Asked Aria surprised and confused. How could she have babies, when she never even held hands with a man.

'Your babies, of course. Your twin baby boys!' Said the nurse, like it was the most obvious thing. Unfortunately, being only assigned to take care of the babies, she was not aware of the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy. Not that many of the staff knew. Being the wife's owner, they did not dare to even talk about the lady in the VIP ward or exchange rumors between them, they only talked about her treatment and state.

'How can I have babies? I am not married or have a boyfriend. Miss, are you mistaken?' Asked Aria frowning.

The nurse was confused and did not understand why the patient didn't know of her pregnancy, but fortunately the doctor arrived soon, and after explaining for a bit to him of what the patient asked, the doctor took over the duty of explaining to her why she was pregnant.

He had initially wanted to wait for Mister Black to come and talk with his wife himself, but the matter that the lady was confused about her memories, and not just the pregnancy, was something he had to investigate as her doctor.

Mrs. Aria, we found out about your pregnancy when you were already unconscious, so the fact that you do not know of it is normal, but are you not aware of your marriage?' Inquired the doctor, trying to assess her state.

'What marriage? I am not married.' Replied Aria, getting even more confused. She thought that the nurse perhaps did not know of her, but for the doctor to also say the same things.

'Misses, are you aware your name is Aria Black?'

'Aria ... Black?' She repeated confused. It was true her name was Aria, but her last name was not Black.

'Yes, you're name is Aria Black, the wife of Zane Black, the owner of this hospital. You were in an accident several months ago which resulted in a head trauma. You have been in a coma since then.' Explained slowly the doctor, while checking her expression. Indeed, the young woman was confused about what he said, confirming his suspicion. Her head trauma caused her amnesia. He would still have to do a cat scan and consult with his colleagues to be certain of this, but there was no other logical explanation.

'I am not, my name is Aria ...' She tried to reply and tell her real last name, getting confused by the doctor. But her words were silenced when the doctor, grabbed his phone and started the front camera, before placing it in front of her eyes.

She looked intently at the image the phone showed, but she did not recognize the person, it did not resemble her in the slightest.

Her short and straight black hair, was replaced by long wavy chestnut brown hair, her initial hazel eyes were now green with only a tinge of the hazel color, her nose was smaller and taller, her previous fuller lips had become smaller heart shaped lips, her cheeks were round as they were before, but now they were placed a bit higher, even the chin and skin color were different.

The woman the camera showed was beautiful, but it was not her, it was a totally different person. Nothing resembled her previous appearance in the slightest. Not that she had looked that much in the mirror, in the last few years she had not looked at all for a matter of fact, but she would still recognize herself.

She kept thinking about what happened, even after the doctor left, as she remained stunned. Some time had passed and she was still thinking of the face she now possessed.

Looking down at the hands that she could slowly move now, she could not recognize even those, as these were the parts of her body that she could still see up until she closed her eyes for the last time in her previous body, hands that she should have remembered even if perhaps her appearance had been foggy in her mind, hands that were not hers.

Previous body ... was that what it was, was this a new body, a new person? Did she die in her last body and woke up in a new one? She finally came to this conclusion. There was no other explanation.

'Ahhh ... ' She felt the babies' movement again, snapping her from her thoughts. Was it possible that her prayers were heard? She had prayed so much before, until she finally lost her hopes.

She prayed for a family, for someone to love, for a second chance at life to do what she could only read about for so many years. Was this her second chance at life, a second chance to accomplish something? Were these small tiny babies a chance given to her, to finally have someone to love?

If so, she would gladly welcome it. Anything else did not matter to her, other than the small movements she could feel in her swollen abdomen.

She fell asleep with these thoughts as she was still feeling weak, hugging the small lives this body nurtured in her arms.

She did not fully realize up until the next moment she opened her eyes, that other than the babies she now treasured, there would also be a father for them.

Waking up feeling numb, as she could hardly move in her sleep, she came face to face with the handsomest man she had ever seen in her life, making her flustered and causing her words to slip.

She had even tried to introduce herself to him, even though he had previously said he was her husband.

When her nervousness had reached its maximum, perhaps disturbed by her ever-growing heart rate, the babies reacted and kicked from inside, making her momentarily forget her awkwardness.

Overjoyed at their presence and liveliness, she had forgotten who the man truly was and shared with him the joy she felt.

'The babies ... they kicked! Quickly spoke Aria, even disregarding the pain their movements caused.

'The babies kicked you? Babies do that inside a womb?' Asked Zane, frowning his eyebrows. He was not aware that babies could do that before birth.

One might ask how was it possible that he was not aware of such things, but growing up in a household where everything he did was programmed for the sake of taking over the family's company, and then maintaining and growing that company, where would he learn such a thing?

Ask him about shares, shareholders, projects, market, financial analysis, he could tell you all about such things from A to Z. He could know the capacity of a company to grow just on its current balance sheet alone, but human personal interactions, family, babies and so on, those were things that even a child would know more than him.

'Of course they can, they kick from inside when they move!' Aria spoke, still oblivious about the situation.

'How?' He asked, slightly curious, not that you could tell that from the mechanical's man cold face.

'Here, like this!' Aria replied, then quickly took his hand and placed it to where she last felt a movement. She could tell from the previous kicks, that whenever she placed her hand on the area she felt movement from, the babies would kick again in that same spot, which was exactly what they did at this moment.

'Ouch!' She said, closing a little her eyes, but happy nonetheless.

Feeling the small kick under his palm, surprised Zane, as much as the feeling of warmth her hand emitted, the hand with which she was keeping his hand pressed on her belly.
