Yoongi's POV

Mark was turning out to actually be a friend. After one lesson he took her out and showed her how to navigate Seoul's subway system. Another time he took her out to do their lesson over coffee. Yoongi felt that his uncle would leave them alone for now since he was getting what he wanted. She felt guilty for using Yoongi's credit card but at this point she didn't have anything else.

She practically studied all day, Mark was surprised at her dedication. She didn't tell him that this was a catch-22 for her. It benefited her kidnapper but it also kept her busy and a little less depressed. Also she hated not being able to understand what people were saying.

Yoongi left for a couple days and during that time she had to start taking company lessons. She remembered her promise to not take his music away from him and the teacher was the adviser to Yoongi's uncle. He was polite and respectful so she resigned herself. The adviser's first lesson was on praising Yoongi's uncle's grandfather and how he had labored to build the company. It now owned hotels, skyscrapers, and mall spaces in 11 different countries and had a telecommunications arm as well.

Yoongi returned several nights later when she was in the middle of dancing. She didn't hear him because the music was so loud. She'd set up a bit of a studio in the family room. He was tired but still couldn't help staring. She was pretty good. It looked like she was working on cleaning up her moves, very well he might add. She turned in the middle of one and was embarrassed at being caught so he bowed quickly and left.

That night the curiosity overcame his embarrassment.

"You dance?" He asked as they climbed into bed.

"Yeah."

"How long?" She turned towards him, her nose scrunched in thought.

"Six months?" He couldn't hide his look of surprise. She looked like she'd been dancing longer than that.

"But I made up dances when I was little." He smiled a little, she must've looked adorable. He laid back. She definitely had the body for it now...he felt heat rush to his ears at that thought and quickly turned off his side table lamp. He couldn't think of her like that.

The next couple of weeks he would be in Seoul for a couple days, then off doing promotional work or attending night-long meetings in addition to his rigorous exercise schedule. He mostly slept when he was a home. Unexpectedly, she found herself preferring it when he was home. Yes, he was a constant reminder of her situation but so was everything else. At least he was kind and she knew he could relate to what she was going through. She was getting along well with Mark but she and Yoongi hadn't really explained their relationship and she had an ever present sense of dread as she anticipated having to speak to it eventually.

The band would be leaving for several weeks and Yoongi had been unusually quiet. Normally, he at least miserably attempted to keep an act up and he had seemed slightly less depressed but now he looked deep in thought. When he left for home, Hoseok came with him. They said nothing on the way there.

She was up, head bent over her studies at the dining room table.

"Anyanghaseyo." She said when they entered, her face lighting up into a smile when she saw Hoseok.

"Hiiii." He said grinning and walking over to give her a hug. Yoongi watched them silently, his face unreadable. "How are you?"

"I'm good. I'm staying busy." If it was possible, Hoseok's smile got bigger when she spoke in Korean.

"Two months and you are bett-uh!" She laughed a little.

"Do you guys want drinks or anything?"

"No, we're good." Yoongi said abruptly and turned towards the office. Hoseok gave her shoulder a squeeze and followed him.

"Study hard. Hwighting!" He shook a cheering fist at her.

"I will!"

"I'm worried." Yoongi said when the office door was closed. Hoseok put his hands in his pockets.

"Weh?"

"We're leaving. If something happens with my uncle she'll be alone."

"You're worried about her." Yoongi looked away and bit his lip thoughtfully.

"Deh. The circumstances aren't ideal but...I feel responsible for her."

"What about that tutor you hired?"

"He doesn't know anything and I don't trust my uncle." Yoongi sighed. "What if something happens while I'm gone? I have security but I don't know if it'll be enough." Hoseok said nothing but had an air of sympathy.

-

When Hoseok left she was in bed. Yoongi climbed onto it, hesitated, then reached over and gently patted her shoulder. He heard her move and after a moment her bedside lamp flicked on. She blinked and rubbed her eyes.

"What's up?"

"I want to talk." He said, handing her his phone. She looked at him confused but took it after a moment realized he'd written something in Korean and had used Google Translate to translate into English.

I'm leaving for six weeks. I'm worried about my uncle. He might do something while I'm not here. Can we stay in touch so I know you're safe? I don't want you dealing with him alone.

She smiled slightly.

"Neh, I'll text you."

"Thank you." He stayed sitting up though and ran his hands over his face.

"Are you okay?" She asked, sitting up too.

"I'm just....worried." He said in English. She didn't reply but reached over and patted his shoulder.

"I'll be okay. I promise." He nodded after a bit. He hoped nothing would happen. It would be difficult to handle abroad.
