This morning I woke up in my room and I was so confused.

Last I checked I was in Kayla's Basement.

I roll over to see my phone lit, I grab it and see I have one new message from Ryan.

Morning Mary Grace, I brought you home last night from Kayla's. You out cold! Did you know you snore? ;) Jk. I hope you don't mind but I asked my mom to call in late for the both of us. Maybe we can go to the diner when you wake up before school. Lmk when you wake up ❤

Well he's a doll.

I smile and reply with a bunch of heart emojis.

I then start to get ready for the day.

A half an hour later, dressed in leggings and Ryan's flannel, my hair is place in a messy bun and I slipped on my white vans, I walk over to Ryan's who is waiting for me by his car.

"I feel like I've seen that shirt before." He smirks pulling me in for a kiss.

I roll my eyes and we set off to the diner.

Once in, we are seated and scanning over the menus.

"So what's the deal with Quin and Kyle?" I ask resting my head against my my fist.

Ryan smirks.

"Kyle's had a crush on her since she moved her. But they are like the two most annoying people ever." He says before a waitress approaches out table.

"Hi guys, I'll be back in a few moments to take your order. Right after I sum up tbis interview." The woman says with a smile.

"Sure no problem no rush." I say giving her smile in return.

Ryan begins to talk about wrestling season as I watch our waitress walk to the country where a girl with long blond hair, that looks like it hasnt been brushed in a while. She has on a big tshirt, with skinny jeans on and combat boots.

She looks sort of rugged and carefree, but who am I to judge?

I watch them and then Ryan says he's going to bathroom, and I can order for him.

"Please I really need the money I'll work everyday." The girl says he voice sounding familiar.

"I'll give you call Savannah, thank you for coming in." The women says then she walks away from and towards me.

Savannah? Why would Savannah need a job? Everything has been handed to her her whole life.

I watch as Savannah places her head in her hands.

"Sorry about, what can I get you guys? Drinks to start?" The waitress asks.

I order our food, and when she leaves I see that Savannah is still sitting there.

My feet having a mind of their own move and begin to walk towards her.

I sit beside Savannah on the stool, she doesn't know I'm there.

"Savannah?" I say softly.

Savannah turns her head and just stares at me.

"What do you want?" She asks, not mean but tired.

"Are you okay?" I ask sincerely.

"No, but that none of your concern," She says her voice cracking and then she places a five dollar bill on the counter and walks out.

I watch as she leaves getting into her car.

"Mary, what are you doing over here?" Ryan says who appears to my side.

I shrug.

"Just asking a question."

After breakfast, Ryan and I headed off to school, which was boring as hell.

Savannah didn't show up to school for the rest of the week and no one questioned why.

I feel guilty that everyone has cut ties to Savannah but after seeing her at the diner, not looking herself I can tell she could use a friend.

And that's why I have McDonalds in my lap, as I drive to Savannah's house.

Yes drive, Charles let me borrow his car, and yes I'm heading to Savannah's house, the girl who hates my guts.

I pull into her driveway to see her car there and the lights of the house on.

Taking a deep breath I get out of the car and walk to her door step.

I knock twice.

I hear rummaging around, when the door swings open revealing Savannah who I don't even recognize.

I look her over.

Her hair is cut in Bob at her chin, she's wearing a sweatshirt and leggings. Dark circles surround her eyes and she looks paler than usual.

"What are you going here Mary Grace?" She snaps folding her arms.

I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out.

"If your going to sit there like a fish out of water, then I'll continue to watch tv." She says beginning to shut the door.

"I wanted to see how your doing." I say quickly.

Savannah stops and looks at me.

"And why would you do that Mary Grace, I've been nothing but a bitch to you."

"Well you haven't been at school and the day at the diner you didn't look yourself. You still dont." I say looking into her eyes that were once bright are now dull.

"Well I don't want your pity, if that what you came to give. I have a lot of things going on and I don't need any bullshit sympathy." She says crossing her arms.

I nod and turn to leave.

"Whats in the bag?" She asks making me sit and smirk.

"About forty dollars worth of food." I say turning around.

She looks at me through squinted eyes and nods.

I take that as my okay to enter her house.
