We've been in Macon for about a week now, it's been uneventful.

The only things I've done were run, sleep, and eat. Caleb and Kendall have called me to ask how everything was going. It was nice to hear their voices, and knowing that I was on their mind.

Throughout the week, ive seen my 'old' friends at that  Ryan kids house. From a far, i can tell that Ryan and Savannah are obviously a thing. The way she laughs at everything that falls out of his moth and how she's is draped over him.

Bleh.

Yesterday, Mom along with Sarah drove Anna Maria to check out the community college. Thought it was only an hour away, they booked a hotel and will be looking around for potential apartments for Anna.

Another thing that happened yesterday, when I came in from my run I saw a plate of cookies in our table.

Since it's only me and Chalres in the house, I know he didn't make them.

When I asked who made them, he said that one of our neighbors brought them over welcoming us to the neighborhood.

They were great cookies. I felt like I've had them before but don't remember from where.

Whatever.

But now, Friday, I just got back from my run and I'm laying on bed bored.

Suddenly my phone rings.

I look to see Calebs face.

"Hello?" I say answering.

"What's going on?" I hear Calebs voice say.

"Nothing much, just sitting in my very pink room." I say playing with my hair.

"You're favorite color!" He laughs.

"Bop!" I say with a smile.

"What are your plans for the night?" He asks.

"Sitting in my room and continue to look at the ceiling." I say as I roll to my back.

"Boring! No parties?" He asks.

That's when Matthew popped into my head.

"Actually I was invited to a party. But I don't think I'll be attending."

"What do you mean you won't be attending? Mary get yourself up put something in and go. Who's party is it?" Caleb says.

"No one you know" I smirk.

"Well obviously, is it a girl's party? A boy?" He asks, slowly at the boy part.

"Its a boy, and his name is Matthew and is kinda a douche." I say sitting up.

"Oh, well you can't stay couped up in your room forever Mary. Go socialize, make friends." Caleb laughs.

"Okay Dad, but I don't think I'd want to be friends with these people." I say.

"Dont judge a book by its cover!" He chuckles.

"Well I already know the pages within." I say looking at mirror across the room.

"That was deep." Caleb says before laughing.

"I feel like you laugh at ebb everything I say. Am I that funny?" I smile.

"You have no idea." He laughs as I roll my eyes.

"So are you going to the party or what?" He asks.

"I don't know." I reply.

"Come on Mary, please? For mee?" He says carrying out his words.

I sigh.

"Fine but I'm only staying for twenty minutes."

"Booyah!" Calebs shouts into the phone potentially bursting my ear drum.

"Stay an hour." He says.

"Twenty-five minutes." I reply.

"Fine, but I want me to send me pics of your outfit so I know your actually going."

"How do you know I won't just through some clothes on, making it look like I'm going?" I ask walking into the bathroom.

"I can just hope you aren't lying." He says.

I groan.

"Alright give me like a half hour then I'll text you." I say.

"Alright, make yourself look pretty!"  He shouts.

"I'm always pretty!" I shout back.

"I don't know about that one." He says with a chuckle.

"Caleb!" I shout.

"Bye!" He says then hangs up.

Oh Caleb.

I finally wrap the elastic on my second braid, and look myself over in the mirror.

I could find anything 'party ready' so I went through Anna Maria's closet.

I decided on a pair of shorts and a grey crop paired with my white converse.

I opened my window, and it was a bit chilly so took Anna Maria's beige cardigan and wrapped it around my waist.

I braided my long blonde hair into two braids, and since I don't know how to do my make up I resulted in a wave of mascara and my favorite lemon lip balm.

I take a quick pic, of my outfit and send it to Caleb.

Caleb:👍😊

I smile at the text before placing my phone in my back pocket.

I walk out of my room to see Charles is sitting on the couch watching tv.

"Hey, I was just going to stop by a party. If that's okay." I say.

He smiles big.

"A party? You made new friends already? Good for you Mary Grace!" He says with a nod.

I give a chuckle.

"I'm perfectly okay with it, but don't make to much noise  coming in. Uh do I have to like you know give you the talk?"

"That talk?" I ask.

"Yeah, like the teenager talk? About parties, boys and that kinda stuff." He says uncomfortably.

"No. I don't think that would be necessary Charles." I laugh.

"Phew, I was getting nervous for a second there Mary Grace." He says wiping his forehead.

"Its all good." I smile.

"Have fun, and call me if you need a ride home, wait how are you getting there?" He asks turning around on the couch to look at me.

"Its the next street over. I was just going to walk." I say opening the door.

"Alright well be careful." He says.

"Will do." I say before shutting the door.

As I walk down the drive way, I turn left to see a black truck pull out of Ryan's house and set down off the road. It turns right onto Grendale.

Welp, he'll be there. I walk down my street then turn the Grendale.

Matthew was right about the cars.

They travel up and down Grendale, and which I'm guess is his house as well, cars are parked on his lawn.

I slowly walk on the sidewalk towards the house, debating if i should run back.

I don't know these people, well I do but you get what I mean. I feel weird just awkwardly walking into this kids house.

As I'm walking I make it the front door and about to ring the door bell when someone scared me half to death.

"They won't here, just walk in." I turn to see a girl with curly black hair and from the stoop light I can tell she has grey eyes. Very pretty.

"Quin." She says reaching for my hand.

"Mary." I say as my heart beat slows down.

Quin tilts her head to the side.

"Mary from the trail?" She says with a smile.

"Uh yes?" I say unsure.

"The boys were right. You are very pretty." She says with a smile.

"Thanks I guess." I say with a chuckle.

"Well let's go in." She says linking arms with me.

Well then.

Quin opens the door and pulls me along.

The inside of the house is very nice and empty.

"So wheres the party?" I ask looking at the empty house.

Quin smirks.

She leads me to the back of the house, where the back door covered by curtains are closed.

"Welcome to your first Smutty Party." She says opening the door to complete pandemonium.

People are everywhere. In the pool, on the deck, by the built bar, playing games in the grass. People are dancing, and it looks like there's no where to go.

This is nothing like a New Jersey Party.

"I'll be back!" Quin shouts before running off to a bunch of girls.

"Alrighty then" I say walking down the steps of the patio.

I feel very out of place. Half of the girls here are dressed up in skin tight dresses or skirts, the rest are in their bikinis.

And here I am looking like a middle schooler, with braids.

I see a a cooler of water near the bar and decide to grab one.

Once I grab ine, I turn around to walk back to the place I was standing, to see that people have mushed together in my path.

Looks like I'll have to go around.

I begin walking, near the edge of the pool. I'm almost to the end when someones hand comes up and bumps my shoulder.

I lose my balance and I'm about fall right into the pool when someone grabs my waist pulling me back.

I turn to see who pulled me back in, to be met with chocolate brown eyes.
