A sharp pain in my side cause me to snap my eyes open and instantly sit up. I grabbed my side and groaned.

"Woah." I choked out.
"Are you okay?" Titus asked, concern written all over his face.

I quickly nodded, not wanting to concern him anymore than I already had. "Yeah I don't know what that was." I sat back up to a siting position then crossed my legs.

He continued to eye me through the corner of his eye. I placed my hand securely over my stomach. A few seconds later I felt the pain again, only this time right under the palm of my hand. "Ouch." I said through clenched teeth. "I'm pulling over." He stated.

I shook my head. "No, I think it's just the pup kicking." He furrowed his eyebrows, still not convinced. I rolled my eyes then grabbed his free hand. I placed it over my stomach, and right on cus our little pup began kicking. His eyes lit up as a huge smile appeared on his face.

"Wow." He focused his attention back on the road, but kept his right hand on my stomach. Pulling out a book, I crossed my legs and began reading. Ten minutes went by and Titus's hand still remained on my stomach. "You can move your hand now. The pup stopped kicking a while ago." I said with a chuckle, not taking my eyes off the book.

"Oh yeah, sorry." He muttered as he quickly removed his hand. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. I peeked through my lashes to see him deep in thought. I sighed then put the book aside. "What's on your mind?" I asked, turning to face him.

He shook his head. "Nothing to worry about love." He kept his eyes on the road, not daring to face me.

"You can talk to me." He squirmed uncomfortably.

"I just...You have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning and I don't want any problems." He admitted.

I threw my head back and groaned. "Not this again."

"Taylor has to check on the pup. Please don't be difficult." He said sternly. I sank into my seat and nodded. I knew he was right, I just really hated hospitals. Especially since I've been in and out of them for weeks.

Sensing my thoughts, he placed my hand in his. "It won't be bad." I eyed him up and down, letting him know I was holding him to his word.

Getting comfortable, I grabbed my book again and continued where I left off.

There was three hours left in our drive when I saw Titus struggling to stay awake. He's drove straight from our pack early in the morning then straight to my family's pack with no break. I knew he was exhausted. "Hey, let me drive the rest of the way." I said as I placed my hand on his arm. He shook his head stubbornly. "I'm fine love."

"No you're not, pull over." He ignored my request and continued driving. "No, it's late at night and you're pregnant."

I scoffed. "I'll be fine. I'm pregnant not injured. You're pushing yourself too hard."

He sighed then pulled to the side of the road. He took his hands off of the wheel then sunk into his seat. "Fine, but no speeding or running red lights."

A smile formed on my face. "I promise."

He rolled his eyes then opened the door. I followed after him and walked to the drivers side. Once in the car, I adjusted the seat to my liking then pulled out onto the quiet road. Titus let back his seat then closed his eyes. It only took a couple of minutes for him to be out like a match. I sang along to the 1975 song playing through the car, as I focused on the road.

I sighed in relief once we entered pack territory. It was three in the morning, so only the wolves who guarded the pack boarders were on sight. Driving for three hours straight was extremely uncomfortable, but I didn't want to bother Titus. He was still sound asleep and he needed to rest more than me.

I silently thanked the moon goddess once we pulled into the driveway of our house. Turning off the ignition, I sank into my seat and sighed. I placed my arm over my eyes and focused on my breathing. I did not feel like getting up, but I knew being in my bed would make me feel a lot better.

After five minutes of just sitting there I started to hear movement from Titus's side. "Are you okay?" Titus asked frantically. I slid my arm down then tilted my head to the side. His eyes were wide with concern. "Yeah, I'm just too lazy to move."

He chuckled. "I can help with that."

I sat up and grabbed the keys. "No I'm fine. Let's just get inside so we can go to bed." I said as I opened the door. He grabbed my bags out the trunk then followed me to the door. I leaned against the pillar, while I waited for him to unlock it.

I was the first one through the door once it was opened. I kicked off my shoes and made my way up the stairs, not bothering to wait for Titus. I swung open the door to our bedroom then went straight to the bed. Laying on my back, I stared up at the ceiling for what felt like eternity.

Right as I was about to doze off Titus walked into the room. He placed my bags on the ground then joined me in bed. He placed the comforter over both of us then pulled me to his chest as usual.

I was the first one up the next morning, but definitely not voluntarily. I sat there on the bathroom floor, slumped of the toilet as I puked my brains out. Apparently the pup and I did not agree on my last meal. It was like waking up the next morning with a major hangover...horrible.

Just when I thought I was done, my stomach had another plan. "Titus!" I shouted weakly. I heard his footsteps as he quickly approached me. He kneeled down beside me then draped his arm around my shoulders. "Brinn you're shaking pretty bad." He handed me the towel I used to quickly wipe my mouth.

"No shít, I just got through puking my brains out." He shook his head. "N-no this isn't normal! There's too much!" He said franticly. "Dude, I'm fi-" Before I could finish my sentence, Titus scooped me up and placed me on the counter. "We're going to see Taylor a little earlier today." He rushed out of the restroom and began changing his clothes.

I rolled my eyes then slid off of the counter. I grabbed my toothbrush as toothpaste from the drawer then started brushing my teeth. Once done, I brushed the tangles out of my hair. "I'm fine." He ignored me and placed an outfit for me on the counter.

I sighed then put on the clothes. I looked at my appearance in the mirror above the sink. Other than the apparent lack of sleep, I looked fairly normal.

Walking out of the bathroom, I stared at the alarm clock and sighed. It was only 6:37, no wonder my mood was all over the place. I slid my shoes on then sat on the edge of the bed. Titus walked out of the walk in closet dressed in black Adidas pants and black hoodie. "Tie your shoes and let's go."

I rolled my eyes then laid on my back. "For the last time, I am fine." I lifted my head when I felt him lift my leg. He kneeled on the ground as he tied the laces on my shoes in a fast pace.

I should have never woken him up...

He stared up at me then scowled. "You did the right thing by waking me." He finished tying my shoe then stood, reaching his hand out for me to take. I grabbed his hand then eased myself off the bed. "I just think waking Taylor up out of her sleep on a Sunday, is unnecessary." He shook his head then tugged me towards the door.

To my surprise, many pack members were awake and moving. To top it off, majority of them were in good moods. They greeted us as we walked towards the hospital. "Who gets excited about waking up at 6 AM?!" Titus chuckled. "Just because you aren't a morning person, doesn't mean others aren't either."

"Well yeah but..." I trailed off as my eyes landed on the buildings front of us. "Well this was a nice walk but-" Before I could turn and walk away, Titus tightened his grip on my hand. "Don't make me carry you in there, because I will." He warned.

I let out a huff of breath. "Fine, let's just get this over with." When we entered the hospital, Taylor greeted us at the front desk. "Alpha, Luna." She bowed her head in respect then gestured us towards the empty room.

I sat on the bed crossed legged, while Titus sat in a chair besides me. "Okay so Luna, I'm going to have to take some blood samples." She eyed me wearily then Titus. I shoot my gaze in the direction of the door.

Don't even think about it! He warned.

I snapped my head in his direction and sighed. His hands were on his knees, ready to grab me at any given moment. I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at the wall.

"Don't worry we can do that last." I relaxed a little, but still knew in the back of my mind it was going to happen whether I liked it or not.

Taylor walked towards me with the ultrasound machine. I lifted up my shirt then allowed her to place the cold gel on my stomach. As soon the machine touched my stomach, our pups heartbeat filled the room. I felt an overwhelming sense of joy, a smile quickly forming on both of our faces. Titus grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze.

Taylor showed us the screen and let us know where our pup was. We both couldn't take our eyes off the screen once we saw our pup laying there sound asleep in my stomach. "Would you like to know the gender." She finally asked. I wasn't expecting to find out the gender today, and honestly I didn't know if I was ready.

I eyed Titus nervously and he nodded. I took a deep breath and sighed. "Sure."

She studies the monitor then smiled. "You're having a girl."
