Hey guys here's another chapter and I made it decently long just for you awesome people. :)

Also the picture on the side is of Sage's halloween outfit. And on of the videos is of the cheerleaders pep assembly. The other is of Sage's duet with Brad. I don't own either of the videos I got them from tv show videos on youtube. I just thought they'd be cool. The cheerleaders dance plays twice for some reason so when it ends just stop it cuz it's just a repeat. Also the link for the cheerleading dance is in the comments below so you can just click on it and it wouldn't let me post two videos. It's also right here:

Have a lovely day everyone!

Chapter six.

Friday had finally come around and that meant today was Halloween the day of Kalina’s Halloween party. I’d picked out the perfect Halloween costume which I found sexy yet not slutty. I decided on going as a princess.

Aaron and I had been having civil conversations for the last two days. He knew something was wrong because I wasn’t being as friendly lately. I refused to let him know that I was jealous however.

“So when do you want to leave for the party?” Aaron asked as he walked me to my locker before first period.

“Actually…” I said putting in my locker combo. “I’m driving over to Kalinas house to help her set up the party and to get ready there.”

“Oh…ok I guess I’ll just see you there?” He said shrugging.

“Ya.” I murmured before walking away.

“Trouble in paradise?” Nadia asked in a sing song voice.

I groaned. “I’m not in the mood, Nadia.” I said walking faster.

“Ok, wait.” She said grabbing my arm. I was about to snap at her or possibly slap her before she continued talking. “Coach wanted me to tell the team that we’re preforming at the pep assembly today.”

“We got permission from the principle?” I asked surprised. Nadia nodded. All week we’d been practicing on a group dance number and duets. Each pair had picked a dance and tried out for the coach we were told the winners would be preforming at the assembly if we got permission. “Do you know which duets won?” I asked a smile appearing on my face.

“Ya.” She said glaring. “It’s posted on the gym doors.

I didn’t wait for her to continue, I just took off nearly running towards the doors. Once I got there nearly half the team was looking.

“Nice job Sage!” Kalina said jumping up and down.

“Wait did Brad and I win?” I asked just as excitedly as her.

“Ya!” She squealed.

We both shrieked and did a little happy dance before Brad walked up looking decently amused.

“We won!” I said throwing myself in his arms for a hug. Brad had offered to be my partner because no one else had volunteered. I guess we’d been better then everyone thought we’d be.

“Are you ready to perform for the whole school though?”

“Are you kidding? You guys kicked culo at the try outs!” Kalina piped in. She sighed when both of us gave her blank looks. “Butt…you kicked butt.”

*******

“Ok everyone go out there and do your best.” Coach Sarah said to all of us as we huddled around her in our cheerleading uniforms. “And Sage and Brad…good luck on your duet. You truly deserved it.” She said beaming at me and Brad. We did a quick high five before our whole team ran out into the gym waving and smiling causing everyone to cheer and clap for us.

We all got in our formation and put our heads down. Then My first kiss started playing and we started our dance.

Before I knew it the teams dance was over and it was mine and Brad’s turn. We stood next to each other staring off at nothing as In for the kill began to play. We didn’t have time to change so we simply danced in our cheer outfits, which I didn’t mind.

We ended holding hands and looking up and everyone burst into applause. I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist as we walked out of the middle of the gym and joined the rest of our team.

“And that was our lovely Brad and Sage doing their duet!” Coach Sarah said into the microphone. “Everyone have a great weekend and happy Halloween!” She said before waving and walking back over to us.

I was about to leave when someone caught my arm.

“Hey.” Aaron said smiling.

“Hey.” I said pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.

“You were amazing.”

“Thanks.” I laughed.

“So can I give you a ride to Kalinas?” He asked gesturing towards the door. The assembly had ended the day which I was happy for. Why not end the school day on a happy note?

“I-“ I started to say before Kalina skipped up and cut me off.

“I’m actually driving her to my house.”

“Oh, ok that’s chill.” Aaron said running a hand through his hair.

“Ya so…I’ll see you there?” I asked before Kalina took my hand and nearly bolted for her car.

“Ya, sure.” Aaron called after us.

******

I was standing on a ladder hanging cob webs off the edge of Kalinas roof while she unwrapped some of them and handed them up to me.

“Aaron was so jealous.”

“Of what?” I asked sticking another piece to her gutter.

“You and Brad dancing!” She said handing me the last bit of cob web.

“No he wasn’t he congratulated me and said I did a good job.”

“Well ya he’s not going to tell you that you sucked.” I opened my mouth about to snap at her but she continued. “Which you didn’t. I just meant he was jealous of how close Brad got to be to you.”

“Ya right.” I scoffed. “You should have seen him and Nadia a few days ago.”

“Ew.” Kalina said scrunching her nose and lighting the candles in the jack-o-lanterns. “She’s still trying to get with him?”

“I thought he did get with her?” I said, carefully jumping off the ladder. “He said he’d dated the whole cheer team.”

Kalina burst into laughter. “He dated Shania who graduated last year and Nadia, but that was broken off last year too. He just hits on all the cheerleaders. We all know he’s joking by now.”

“Wow what a liar.” I laughed. “He wishes he was that good of a player.”

“Exactly. But my point is that the Nadia and Aaron ship has sailed and is never coming back.”

“Were they a good couple?” I asked trying to seem nonchalant while taping fake spiders to her front door.

“Well he never looked at her the way he looks at you, if that’s what you mean.” She said finishing the last of the jack-o-lanterns candles. I glared at her before she continued. “They fought a lot, and a lot of the things they did were just the physical things of relationships.” She said setting up head stones in the yard. “I never saw them laugh and he never went to any of our competitions or games or pep assemblies to watch her…You guys aren’t even dating and he went to this pep assembly. He usually skips them.”

“So we’re friends.” I said simply while putting fake bloody hand prints on the front windows.

She stopped what she was doing to put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at me. “He tried to kiss you.”

“Which was a joke.”

“Or was it?”

“If it wasn’t a joke then it’s just him still trying to be a player.”

“Sage you’re lucky you’re pretty cuz you are definitely not smart with these kind of things.”

“I kind of take that to offense.”

After we had finished setting up all the decorations and setting out all the food we walked up to Kalina’s room to get ready. I was sitting on her chair doing my make up in front of her big mirror when she walked out of the bathroom in her costume. She was a sexy nurse. Go figure. She had the nurse hat with her hair curled and up in a ponytail.

She glanced herself over in her full body mirror before looking over at me. “Can I do your hair?” She asked curiously.

I pursed my lips thinking. “Ah what the hell? Why not?” I clipped on my golden necklace which had rubies enlaced in the chains that dangled down on my chest.

We finished getting ready right as the doorbell rang. We looked ourselves up in down in the mirrors before high fiving each other and running down the stairs. She had white strappy heels with her outfit and a stethoscope hung around her neck. She’d put a light blush on and dark red lipstick but other than that her make up looked natural.

My outfit was a slim white princess dress with a corset top with small straps that hung low on my upper arms and down the middle of the whole dress was a tanish yellow that had roses snaking across it. Golden roses were also laced across the straps. I had simple make up on and Kalina had styled my hair in a slight up do. She’d curled all of my hair and pinned back the top layer with light pink flowers. I completed the outfit with small pearl earrings and yes, glass slippers.

She opened the door but the person was hidden from me. “Aaron?” She asked surprised. “I thought you were the pizza, you’re like half an hour early.” She said before turning to me with a megawatt grin while raising her eye brows.

“Well…I was bored and decided to see if you guys needed any help?” He asked hopefully.

“No we just finished but you can come in and hang out until the party starts.” She said opening the door wider to let him in.

He walked in dressed in the simple Prince Charming outfit. My mouth opened in surprise and his opened in awe while Kalina grinned like the Cheshire cat as she closed the door. He had on white pants and black shoes, he’d slicked his hair back and he had the blue jacket with golden buttons and golden shoulder pads.

“You look…amazing.” He said looking me up and down for the second time.

“Yeah, so do you.” I said blushing.

“Well you know I decided on this because every girl imagines me as her Prince Charming.” He said with his signature smirk reappearing on his face.

“Sure they do.” I said sarcastically.

At some point Kalina had turned on the music so it was lightly playing in the back ground. “Well I forgot a part of my outfit so I’m going to go get it before everyone else gets here.” She said before dashing up the stairs.

The song Jar of Hearts started playing.

We both stood in awkward silence before Aaron spoke up. “Will you dance with me?” He said holding his hand out and bowing to me. He really was playing the part.

“Just the two of us?” I asked raising an eyebrow. “There’s no one else here.” I said gesturing to the huge empty room.

“Exactly why not dance before it gets crowded and way too main stream?” He said with a smile.

I bit my bottom lip before smiling and accepting his hand.

He put one hand on the small of my back and held my right hand with his other hand, while my left hand was on his shoulder.

We danced in a slow casual circle and didn’t say anything before the song was half way over.

“You really do look beautiful tonight.” He said quietly to me.

“Amazing and beautiful?” I asked grinning. “Are you sure you’re ok? You’re acting awfully nice.”

“I can be nice when I feel like it.” He said laughing with me.

I leaned my head on his chest as we danced closer. “I like the nice you.” I whispered simply.

He didn’t say anything for the rest of the song; we might’ve even danced for the next song if the doorbell hadn’t rung and Kalina hadn’t cleared her throat at us.

Aaron turned away and I couldn’t tell if he was blushing or not. Kalina made an over exaggerated wink at me before answering the door and taking the pizza from the delivery boy.

“Hey Sage want to help me with this pizza?” She asked nodding her head towards the kitchen.

“Ya sure.” I said following her.

“I can help too.” Aaron piped in.

“No, that’s ok.” Kalina said holding out her hand while the pizza tipped precariously in her other hand. “I need you to be here incase more people show up.”

He nodded before sitting down on the coach and staring out the window into the darkness as we walked into the kitchen.

“See!” She whisper yelled at me. “He. Wants. You.” She continued as she set down the pizzas on the counter.

“Whatever…we were just dancing.” I said opening up one of the four boxes of extra-large pizzas.

“I have never seen him slow dance with anybody. Anybody!”

“I’m sure he’s done it.” I said setting pieces of pizza on blood red plates.

“Ya family members.” She scoffed. “Plus he’s Prince Freakin Charming! You guys match!”

“And someone else could show up as Prince Charming and we’d match or someone could show up as another doctor and you guys would match.” I pointed out.

“Why are you denying this Sage?”

“Denying what? There is nothing here to deny.” I said before walking back out.

When I reached the living room I saw that Brad and a few more people from school whom I wasn’t acquainted with had arrived.

“Hey.” Brad said high fiving me. “So, next week I thought we could practice on our next duet?”

“We have another?” I said scrunching my eyebrows.

“Ya, didn’t you read the paper Coach Sarah handed out? The winners not only got to perform at the pep assembly but they also get to perform the duet dances for our cheerleading competitions.”

“Wait really?” I said jumping up and down. “No way!”

He chuckled at my outburst. “You really are a cheerleader aren’t you?”

“Like hell ya I am!” I said using an over the top valley girl voice. We both laughed before high fiving again as more people began to file in the house.

************

Nearly four hours later I was laying in Kalinas back yard listening to the pulsing music from inside her house.

I had danced and eaten junk food and drunken more bloody punch then I could handle. The music was so loud I was sure my ears were about to bleed.

The stars were shining and there was a full moon on Halloween for once.

“Starships were meant to fly.” I quietly sang along to the pounding music.

I heard someone lay down next to me and I abruptly stopped singing before I embarrassed myself. I could dance but I couldn’t sing, especially when I wasn’t sure if someone had spiked the punch or not.

“You bored already?” Aaron asked looking at me.

I turned my head in the grass to gaze back at him. “I guess.”

“You seemed like such a partier to me though.” He laughed and lightly bumped my arm.

“Well there’s only so much dancing and eating that I can take.” I said defending myself.

“You are a fantastic dancer.” He grinned. A few more moments of silence passed before he spoke up again. “So you and Brad are doing more duets?”

“Ya I guess.” I murmured looking back up at the stars and the moon.

“Let me know when those competitions are and I’ll be there ok?”

“Really?” I asked turning back to him surprised.

“Really.” He said smiling. Kalinas words came back to me about how he had never gone to one of Nadia’s competitions. His reply was followed by more silence before he continued. “Do you wanna go ride around in my truck?”

“How is riding around in your truck fun?” I laughed at him.

“Anything with me is always fun.” He smirked.

“Ok let’s go.” I said standing up.

“Really?” He asked following my lead.

“Really.” I laughed while walking to the front of the house where his truck was parked.

Next thing I know we’re about to leave Kalina’s neighborhood and I’m sitting in the truck bed of Aarons truck. “Are you ready?” Aaron shouted over his shoulder looking both ways at the stop sign.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” I asked for about the hundredth time.

“Ya my friends and I do this all the time.”

“Wait…you have friends?” I asked. He stomped on the gas and took a sharp left turn. I flew backwards and slammed into the floor of the truck bed. “Ah!” I screamed before he slowed down to the speed limit and I sat back up into a kneeling position. “Dick.” I muttered loud enough for him to hear. I saw him smile in the review mirror but he didn’t say anything.

About five minutes passed while we cruised along the empty roads before Aaron finally called back to me again. “Sage! Stand up!”

“What? Are you crazy?” I yelled back.

“It’s fun, stand up!”

I sighed and debated about just ignoring him but decided, why not? I have nothing better to do, and if I die at least I lived a happy life.

I carefully stood up on shaky legs. The wind blew my hair back and no doubt made my cheeks red from the chill of the air. I gasped when Aaron sped up before I felt myself start to smile.

I laughed as I leaned my head back to see the stars zooming by. I slowly let go of the top of the truck and spread my arms out as if I could fly. “Woo!” I screamed into the night sky.

Five minutes later Aaron carefully parked in my drive way so I wouldn’t stumble or fall from the truck bed.

“Did you have fun?” He asked walking around to get closer to me.

“That was amazing!” I exclaimed.

He held out his hand to offer me help down. I grabbed it and carefully lifted my dress so I wouldn’t step on it. I jumped down and nearly fell to me knees but Aaron caught me by my waist. My shoe fell off and clattered to the ground.

We both looked down at it before he kneeled down and picked it up. He held it up right and waited, looking up at me. I realized half a second later that he wanted to put it back on my foot.

I lifted the hem of my dress again and held out my foot. He slowly slipped it back on my foot before standing up being closer than he was before.

“Just like Cinderella.” He whispered placing one hand on my cheek.

He was leaning closer when I finally came to my senses. “No!” I said pulling back. “I can’t.” I shook my head before running inside my house.
