What another update so soon? Who rocks? This girl! Well I hope you guys like this chapter. I would love some comments and votes that would be amazing.

The picture on the side is of Sage's dinner outfit. And if you can't see the photo then I put an external link on it so you can go view it.
Ok I'm really mad because it won't show any pictures I try and post and the external links won't work either does anyone know how to fix that?
And the video on the side is of the flash mob type dance that Sage and Brad do. (I don't own it, I got it off youtube)

Please comment on how you feel about this chapter! It would be greatly appreciated. :)

Chapter eighteen

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Brad asked me as I pulled a chair to the middle of my dad’s work’s lobby. The woman at the reception desk looked up from her computer and gave me a strange look as Brad, Kalina, Heather, Aaron and I continued to move furniture around, but she didn’t say anything.

“Ya, my dad will get a little mad but he doesn’t know you so you’re fine.” I said waving my hand at him.

It’s been a week and a half after the final competition that my dad had never gone to and we’d made another dance that we were going to surprise my dad with when he got off work.

He was going to be pissed, and I knew it.

I knew a lot of his coworkers would be getting off work at the same time he did, so when they all got off the elevator Aaron was going to push play on our boom box and When I Grow Up by the Pussycat dolls would start playing, and Brad and I would start dancing. We were using the chair I had dragged into the middle of the lobby and a camera that Brad would be using throughout the dance.

Aaron had also insisted on videotaping our dance too.

We’d upgraded from our cheerleading costumes luckily, maybe we’ll be taken a little more seriously. I had on a little black dancing dress and dancing heels with my hair in a high pony tail, while Brad had on black dress pants with black shoes and a black button up shirt.

“But maybe we shouldn’t be getting you in trouble…I mean our dance is kind of out there.”

“It’s not that bad.” I protested.

I would agree that the dance was rather sexual and there was one half assed angry kiss, but all in all it wasn’t too bad. It was just bad enough that it would get my dad’s attention. However we had ran the whole dance by Aaron and Kalina who weren’t ecstatic but didn’t say no. In fact the angry half assed kiss was actually Kalina’s idea.

The elevator dinged and Kalina rushed over to flip off the lights.

“What are you doing?” The receptionist asked shocked.

“What the hell?” A man’s voice said as the elevator doors opened.

Aaron hit play and Kalina flipped on the lights and Brad and I started our dance.

I caught a glance of my dad once or twice throughout the dance and he did not look happy. In fact he looked furious. Which was exactly what I was hoping for; it meant he was finally paying attention.

Once it was over people actually applauded. My dad however nearly dragged my smiling face from the building.

“What the hell was that Sage?”

“That was me showing you how good of a dancer I am, you know, since you never bothered to go to any of my competitions even though we won!” I snapped back at him.

“Sage, you embarrassed me in front of my coworkers! That is not acceptable. I also noticed that that Aaron boy is here.”

“Yeah it’s because I’m dating him.” I said crossing my arms defiantly.

“What about Nate?” He asked shocked.

“You’re not the only one who can lie, dad.” I said before turning my back and walking away while signaling to my friends through the window so they could follow me.

**********

“I wish you didn’t have to leave.” I said while hugging Heather.

The taxi driver was picking up all her luggage and putting it in the trunk. Heather had spent nearly two weeks with us and her mom didn’t even care that she was skipping school. She had accompanied me to school for the past week and a half that we had school days. Kids had given her weird looks but she fit in well with my friends. Our lunch table had gone to me, Kalina, Aaron and Brad now that Heather was leaving.

“I know, I wish I could stay longer too, even if it was just a day longer.” She said as she pulled back from my hug.

“The hell is going to begin as soon as you leave you know?”

“Maybe you shouldn’t have flash mobbed his work.” She said with a small smirk on her face.

“I just wanted him to see what he missed.”

“It was more than that. It was you trying to get his attention.”

“It worked, didn’t it?” I said with a smirk of my own.

“You’ll just have to face the consequences.” I groaned as she hugged me once more. “Don’t worry. I’ll come back as soon as I can, until then don’t forget to email me. Ok?”

“I won’t.” I promised as we broke away. “Have a safe trip, k?”

“I promise.” She said before getting in the taxi. She waved to me as the taxi cab drove down the street; I waved back until it disappeared around the corner.

I hadn’t even made it to my porch before a sleek red mustang pulled up in front of my house.

I was about to keep going to my door until I saw that it was Nate who was driving. I laughed as he got out smiling. “It seems that I can never be alone anymore.” I said jokingly.

“Well we all know how pissed your dad’s gonna be once you’re alone. So we’ve all decided we won’t let that happen…at least not for a while.” He said as he walked closer to me.

“You all decided this?” I asked crossing my arms and raising my eyebrows.

“Ya Kalina texted me about it at least.”

“Wow she’s such an awesome friend.” I said with light sarcasm.

“So do you think you can come over to my house for the night?” He said walking up my porch to my front door as I followed behind him.

“For the night?” I asked as I opened the door and walked him into the kitchen. “Like that’s gonna happen.”

“Hey Mr. Thompson is it ok if Sage spends the night at my house tonight? I promise there will be no funny business, we’re just friends. She can even sleep in the guest bedroom.”

“Uh-“ I started but my dad cut me off.

“Well normally I’d say no because Sage is on restrictions, but because I know your dad and how responsible you are I guess its ok.”

“What?” I asked but Nate lightly stepped on my foot telling me to shut up.

“Just have her home before one tomorrow ok?”

“Of course sir.” Nate said before grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the room.

“I guess it’s happening.” I said weirdly as we walked up to my room to grab my stuff.

“What can I say? I’m magical.” He said shrugging and sending me a huge grin.

“My dad is so stupid. Doesn’t he know to not let his daughter spend the night at a boy’s house?” I said as I packed my pajamas into a back pack.

“It’s because your dad likes me.”

“Ya feel special now, but I make one mistake when you’re around and he’ll think you’re a rebel.”

“Well I’ll just soak as much of it in as I can before then.” He said holding his arms out as if we was soaking up sunshine.

“Ya ya kiss up, let’s just go.” I said slinging my bag over my shoulder and nearly shoving him out of my room.

After the hour it took to get back to the city and his pent house I was already tired.

I yawned as we took the elevator up to his floor.

“Don’t tell me you’re tired already?” He said jokingly as he sat down on the couch in his living room.

I sat next to him and set my bag at my feet. “Only a little.” I said leaning my head back on the couch as Nate got up and walked towards the TV. “But I was up late last night with Heather and that dance was tiring.” I said as my excuse.

“True but aren’t girls always supposed to stay up late at sleepovers?”

“Aren’t boys and girls not supposed to have sleepovers?” I shot back.

“Touché.” He said as he held two things up so I could see them. “Transformers, or Time Travelers Wife?”

“You own The Time Travelers Wife?” I asked with a smile on my face. “That’s a chick flick.”

“Would you believe I bought it to impress girls?” He said with a guilty smile on his face.

“No.” I said shaking my head.

He groaned. “Just pick a movie.”

“I can’t decide…how about both?”

“Are you sure you can stay awake for both?” He asked smirking at me.

I stuck my tongue out at him. “Just put Transformers in.”

He put the movie in and hit play before walking back over to the couch to sit next to me.

After it ended I went into his bathroom and changed into my pajamas, which were black shorts and a light blue tank top.

“Hey.” I said as I walked back into the living room. “Where’s your dad?” I asked sitting on the couch and wrapping myself in a blanket.

“He’s on a business trip; he won’t be back until tomorrow afternoon.” He said as he switched the movies.

“You didn’t mention that to my dad.” I said with a sly smile.

“I’m the good kid, remember?”

“Being a liar doesn’t live up to that.” I said as he sat back down next to me as the movie started.

***********

“That was a sad movie.” Nate said as he put his arm around my shoulders.

“But it was a good movie wasn’t it?” I asked as I looked up at him.

“He died.” He pointed out as the credits continued to roll.

“Ya but at least they loved each other…and he saw his family in the future.”

“Ya…I’m still confused about that part.” He said laughing.

“You’re lucky you’re cute.” I said leaning into him even more.

“Aw you think I’m cute?”  He said pulling me even closer, if that were even possible. “You’re beautiful.” He whispered as our noses brushed.

“Thanks.” I whispered back.

“Sage?...Have you ever loved someone?” He asked as his arm slid down around my waist.

“Mhm.” I said as my eyes started to drift closed.

“Sage, I love you.” He whispered before closing the distance between us.

His lips were soft as they caressed mine. My fingers got caught in his hair as he pulled me into his lap so I could put my legs on either side of his waist. His hands ran up and down my back as our tongues collided. His mouth trailed down to my neck and I caught a glance of the clock showing that it was well past one in the morning. I yanked his head back by his hair so I could kiss his lips again. His arms wrapped around me again as he slowly stood up taking me with him as he started walking down the hallway as we continued kissing. He bumped into a door and had to let go of me with one hand so he could turn the door knob and open the door. He stumbled in and dropped me on the bed before stripping off his shirt before he crawled back on top of me. His tongue slipped inside my mouth as my hands trailed down his chest to his stomach. He pulled away long enough to strip off my shirt before continuing to kiss me. His hands trailed down to the draw strings of my shorts.

“What about Aaron?” He breathed.

“I don’t care about Aaron.” I said breathlessly before pulling him back to kiss me.

My eyes flew open startled at the dream. At some point during the movie sleep had overtaken me and I’d drifted off.

I wasn’t sure what time it was when I woke up but light was bleeding in through the curtains.

I shifted a little and noticed that I had been leaning on Nate’s shoulders.

My dream washed over me like a wave and I pulled back faster then I should’ve because Nate stirred by my movement.

“Sage?” He asked before yawning and stretching his arms out. “What time is it?” He mumbled before rubbing his eyes.

“I’m not sure but it’s probably time for me to go.” I said standing up quicker than I thought possible.

“Are you sure you want to go?” He asked standing up and standing extremely close to me.

I took a step back before replying. “Ya, if I get home early then maybe my dad won’t be so mad.”

“Alright just let me get my jacket and I’ll drive you back.”

After the hour long ride back home Nate pulled into my driveway and leaned over to give me a hug goodbye.

“Bye Beautiful.” He murmured before lightly kissing my cheek.

“Uhhh bye.” I said before nearly jumping out of the car and sprinting into my house.

************

“Sage?” My dad asked halfway through the day. “You’re going to the business meeting tonight right?”

“Umm sure?” I said as I finished up the dishes.

“Ok be at Romizios in about an hour.” My dad said before walking out the front door.

I sighed figuring I’d have to go change because my dad wouldn’t want me to show up in jeans and a t-shirt.

I changed into a shiny gold dress with a silver design on it. I paired it with black ankle boots with bows on the side and a black leather jacket. I crimped my hair and put on light make-up and gold hoop earrings.

All in all I thought I looked quite nice.

After taking nearly half an hour to drive there I finally walked in the door only ten minutes late.

“Hey.” Nate said walking up to me. “This way. I offered to wait for you to show you where we’re sitting.” He said leading me towards the biggest part of the restaurant. “And by the way…you look amazing.” He said just as we entered the room where everyone else was.

The dream rushed back to me making me nervous so I tried to focus on all the business men. I saw Nate’s dad and a few familiar faces from the last dinner meeting. I caught my dad’s eye and for some unexplainable reason he looked enraged.

He stood up and grabbed my arm. “Sage, can I talk to you outside for one second?” He said through gritted teeth nearly dragging me outside.

“Dad, what’s wrong?” I asked actually worried for once.

“Why are you dressed like that?”

“Like what?” I asked looking myself up and down. I thought I looked really nice.

“Are you trying to embarrass me? Leather jackets and ankle boots are not acceptable for business dinners and on top of that you’re late.” He snapped.

“Dad I can take them off.” I offered already shrugging my jacket off halfway.

“No.” He said stopping me. “I see how revealing that dress is…I think it’s just best if you leave.”

“But dad-“

“No, Sage. You’ve done enough, don’t make a scene.” He said before shaking his head and walking back in the double doors to where everyone else was.

I felt a tear trail down my cheek. “I’m sorry.” I breathed.

“Sage had to go. She forgot she had previous plans with friends.” I heard my dad say to everyone.

I slowly slid down the wall behind me and I put my head in my hands as I let the tears flow freely.

I heard the two doors open but I didn’t bother looking up.

“Hey.” Said someone who put their hand on my shoulder. “Why is such a beautiful girl crying?”

“Nate?” I asked looking up.

“Yeah.” He said wiping my tears away with his thumbs. “Come on.” He said standing up and offering me his hands. I grabbed them and he helped me up. “A girl that looks this good shouldn’t be sitting alone.”

“Nate?” I asked.

“Yeah?” He wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

“You’re amazing.” I said leaning my head on his shoulder as we walked out of the restaurant.
