Although seeing a living T-rex in person was miraculous your fear was a much more prominent emotion. Instinctively you clung to Ian without even noticing.

"Stay perfectly still, her vision is based on movement," you managed to utter looking on the dinosaur in terror.

You hoped that the dinosaur was just curiously exploring her area, but the flashlight shining from the kids' jeep in front of you caught her attention.

"Oh no...," you whispered clutching Ian's shirt.

You watched as the T-rex stomped over to the kids' jeep The tyrannosaur was standing next to the jeep looking around.

You watched with wide eyes, subconsciously advising the children not to move but poor Tim closed the door of his jeep causing the dinosaur to turn her head and look into the car. She sniffed and inspected the jeep until she suddenly lifted her head and let out a shrieking roar.

The T-rex pushed her head up against the jeep trying to get to the poor children inside. The children started screaming and shouting. You could barely see what was going on through the rain and darkness but you saw them both moving and shining the flashlight right on the dinosaur's face.

The T-rex was now staring right into the car looking through the hood.

She violently tried to get to the children by forcing her head through the roof of the car breaking the glass and leaving the children screaming trying to hold up the glass as a shield between them and the massive T-rex.

The dinosaur gave up on the roof and used her head to topple the car over. She ripped into the jeep leaving the children trapped under the jeep screaming and crying and sinking in mud.

You and Ian both frantically looked through the jeep for something to get the T-rex away from the kids' jeep but you quickly looked up and out your window again to see Alan holding up a flair to distract the T-rex.

You suddenly noticed Ian holding a flare beside you. "Ian don't!" you ordered grabbing his arm. "Alan's got this, he knows what he's doing," you assured Ian. Ian put the flare down trusting you.

Alan caught the T-rex's attention with the flare and tossed it into her paddock. Thankfully, it worked and she went after it to investigate.

You and Ian both got out of your car to help Alan get the kids out from under their jeep.

Ian and Alan tried together to pull Lex out while you tried to pull Tim out.

"I'm stuck! the seat's on my feet!" Tim informed you struggling.

"It's okay, we'll get you out. Don't worry," you assured the boy.

Ian and Alan soon got Lex out and were about to help you get Tim out until Lex let out a bloodcurdling shriek.

You all turned around and Alan immediately covered Lex's mouth and tried to keep her still.

"Don't move!" Alan ordered, "it can't see us if we don't move."

You clung to Ian looking up at the Tyrannosaur. Its snout was only about five inches from you all. You all stayed perfectly still until the Tyrannosaur spun the car around with her head causing you all to fall down on your knees and try to stay behind the jeep hiding from the T-rex.

The dinosaur pushed the jeep up against the concrete wall forcing everyone except for Tim who was still trapped under the jeep to stand on it but you all quickly realized that you were standing on the edge of a cliff.

Ian urged you to get on his back as he latched on to one of the wires hanging from the edge of the cliff. You climbed on Ian's back wrapping your arms around his shoulders and your legs around his torso.

You looked over to see Lex on Alan's back but unfortunately for them, they were right under the jeep that the tyrannosaur was about to push down.

Lex kept trying to grab the wire next to her to hang onto.

The car was tipping over but finally, Alan and Lex managed to grab on to the wire beside them and move out of the way before the car came crashing down and landed in a tree.

You loosened up your arms around Ian's shoulders, you hadn't even noticed how tight you were squeezing.

Ian and Alan both managed to get down on the ground.

You unwrapped your legs from Ian's torso to let your feet touch the ground.

"You okay?" Ian asked turning to face you.

You nodded, "Yeah, you?" you asked. "I'm wonderful, remind me to thank John for a lovely weekend."

You and Ian walked over to Alan and Lex making sure that they were also okay but Lex was too traumatized to even answer.

You and Ian both tried to calm her while Alan went up in the tree to get Tim out of the jeep.

You watched as Alan and Tim climbed down the tree while the jeep hung right above them as they climbed down.

Your heart was racing and then it finally stopped and dropped to your feet once you saw the car land on them both.

You and Ian immediately ran over thinking they were goners until you heard Tim say, "well, we're back... in the car again," to which Alan replied, "at least we're out of the tree."

You laughed in relief and you and Ian both helped them out from under the car. You looked at Tim after you had pulled him out. "Are you okay Tim?" you asked as Ian peered over your shoulder. "Yeah, I'm okay," Tim answered blushing. Looks like Ian's got some competition. You smiled down at the boy and then turned to Alan and asked him if he was okay. "Yeah, I'm fine," Alan answered.

Lex ran to meet her brother and hugged him tightly.

You all sat down to try and just rest for a moment. You sat down on a tree root and leaned against the tree's huge trunk. Ian sat next to you. You hadn't noticed that he was no longer wearing his glasses, he had big kind eyes, not what you were expecting.

"Do you think they'll have this on the tour?" Ian jokingly said trying to get you to smile.

He succeeded. "John did say he'd drive kids out of their minds," you commented.

You both laughed making the best out of your situation until Ian looked down at your leg. "(y/n), what's that?" he asked concerned referring to the long gash on your thigh.

You hadn't noticed it till just then, "Oh, I don't know, it must've been from the jeep."

Ian started to unroll his sleeve and then rip it, you tried to stop him. "Ian! stop, you don't have to do that, it's not even that deep."

Ian shook his head. "It could still get infected."

You decided not to protest against Ian and let him rip part of his sleeve off.

He held your thigh up and began rapping the gash.

Ian's hands were gentle and tender and felt warm against your skin. "Thank you," you said putting your thigh back down once Ian was done.

He smiled at you sweetly, not his usual flirtatious grin. "No problem."
