(A/N) - the song is big sis by SALES, it doesn't really have much to do with the story but it feels nostalgic and I'm pretty sure that's Ellie's arm in the cover art. Also! Just so there's no confusion, you and Ellie are half-sisters in this story that's why you have different last names.

~

You made yourself comfortable in your seat beside your older sister, Ellie, who sat beside her boyfriend, Alan. John Hammond sat across from Alan leaning on his cane. You were here because, like Alan, you were a paleontologist, a very young one at that, only twenty-two. Hammond hadn't been too specific about his park but said it was "right up your ally," which only filled you with more curiosity and excitement.

It wasn't long until another man entered the helicopter. He was older maybe in his fifties, quite thin, and you noticed he was balding after he took off his white fedora. Another man entered shortly after him. You noticed he was quite tall and fashionable. His hair was curly (your biggest weakness) and he wore glasses. He had an overall smart but sexy look.

He seemed to notice you right away but you were not here to be flirted with.

Everyone was introduced to each other as the helicopter took off, the thin older man was Donald Genarro a lawyer and the other man was Ian Malcolm a chaotician and mathematician.

Ian took interest in you, you could tell just by the way he introduced himself to you. You had to admit that he interested you as well but you weren't going to let yourself give into temptation.

"So, you three um," Ian started, pointing to you, Alan, and Ellie, "dig up- dig up dinosaurs?"

You and Ellie both laughed. "Well," Ellie looked down. Alan slowly looked up at Ian and almost whispered, "Try to."

Ian laughed (or growled) playfully chewing his gum with an equally playful and flirtatious grin on his face. You and your sister laughed but Alan didn't seem so happy, he disliked Ian already. "You'll have to get used to Dr. Malcolm," John Hammond commented, "he suffers from a deplorable excess of personality, especially for a mathematician."

"Chaotician! chaotician, actually," Ian corrected popping a mint into his mouth, "John doesn't subscribe to chaos, particularly what it has to say about his little science project."

"Codswallop, Ian, you've never been able to sufficiently explain your concern-" John started but was cut off by Ian "Oh, John, no no because the behavior of the system in phase space."

"A load if I may say so, a fashionable number crunching," John retorted as Ian started to grab his knee but John quickly smacked his tactile hand away "Don't do that here!"

You and Ellie both giggled at this small argument. Alan did not join you both.

Ian turned to you, Ellie, and Alan. "Dr. (y/l/n), Dr. Sattler, Dr.Grant, you've heard of- you've heard of chaos theory?"

You and your sister both shook your heads, "No," you responded.

"No? non-linear equations?"

You shrugged at Ian as your sister observed her annoyed boyfriend.

"Strange attractors?"

You shook your head.

"Dr. (y/l/n) I refuse to believe that you aren't familiar with the concept of attraction."

You couldn't help but grin and look at your sister who looked back at you smiling and shaking her head.

"Hm, I bring scientists, you bring a rock star," John remarked to Gennaro.

Gennaro looked offended. You laughed a bit, it's true.

"There it is," John announced joyfully.

You looked out of the window, finally, you were at the island.

"Bad wind shears, we have to drop pretty fast, so, Hold on, this can be just a little thrilling," John explained.

Just then the helicopter jerked down, completely jostling everyone but John just laughed. "Yahoo!" he cheered.

Everyone started to buckle their seatbelts except for Alan who had gotten two wrong ends. John tried to help him but Alan used some creative problem solving and just tied them together.

The helicopter finally landed safely. John exited first smiling at his island proudly. You soon exited with your sister and Alan. You admired the island joyfully with your sister, happy to finally be there.

Two open top jeeps reared in. You entered the front Jeep and sat in the back. You expected Alan or Ellie to sit beside you but Ian beat them to it. Great. Luckily Ellie sat in the front seat of the jeep.

Your excitement grew as you passed through a huge gate and a high voltage fence that was about thirty feet tall. Whatever this was, it was gonna be big.
