You sat next to sister at the end of the oval table in a dark room in which videos of the future of the park were being projected onto the walls.

You listened to John and Gennaro discussing their plans for the park. Gennaro, of course, was most concerned about how much money could be made.

Ian shook his head, "Gee, the lack of humility before nature that's being displayed here um," Ian paused, "staggers me."

"Thank you, Dr. Malcolm, but I think things are a little different than you and I have feared," Gennaro responded tartly.

"I know. They're a lot worse."

"Now, wait a second. We haven't even seen the park yet. There's no reason-"

John cut Gennaro off, "Donald, let him talk. I want to hear every viewpoint."

"Don't you see the danger, uh, John, inherent in what you're doing here? Genetic power's the most awesome force the planet's ever seen, but you wield it like a- a kid who's found his dad's gun."

Gennaro tried to butt in to defend the park but was quickly stopped by Ian.

"I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power you're using here. It didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done, and you took the next step, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even know what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunch box, and now you're selling it," Ian ranted angrily banging his fist on the table.

"I don't think you're giving us our due credit. Our scientists have done things which nobody has ever done before," John replied.

"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied over whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should."

Ian was right.  You voiced your opinion as well, in summary, you explained that these creatures are dangerous and unpredictable, Ellie and Alan both agreed sharing similar opinions.

John was just disappointed that the only one on his side was the (blood-sucking) lawyer.

A waiter came by and whispered something in John's ear, John nodded and rose from his seat smiling, "They're here," he announced to you all.

After lunch, you were all lead out of the room and back to the visiting area. "You five will have a spot of company after the tour, to spend a little time with our, target audience!" John cheerfully informed. Just then a girl about thirteen and a boy about ten ran up to John joyfully shouting "Grandpa!" and enthusiastically hugged him.

You didn't mind having children on the tour but you couldn't say the same for Alan.

After all of you were introduced to the children you all went outside for the tour to begin. Three jeeps pulled up, all self-driving electric jeeps (nice). You got in the back seat of the jeep that was farthest back as John was saying goodbye to you all.

You watched as Alan tried his best to avoid the little boy following him around (you knew Ellie probably had something to do with it) but you stopped once you saw Ian walk up to your jeep. You were sure that Ellie was laughing at both you and Alan right now.

As the jeeps started driving away butterflies filled your stomach, you couldn't help but tap your foot rapidly against the floor of the car (something you often did when you were nervous or excited).

"God help us, we're in the hands of engineers," Ian jokingly commented referring to all the new and quite overwhelming technology in your jeep as it drove off.

You laughed but couldn't respond, your mind was on dinosaurs.

The little voice came on over the intercom welcoming you all to Jurassic Park.

A huge ten-foot-tall wooden gate with the Jurassic Park logo right in the middle of it slowly opened.

"What they got in there King Kong?" Ian jokingly commented looking up at the gate.

You laughed again, those huge gates big enough to hold King Kong only added to your immense excitement.

The intercom started advising everyone to look out their window to see the dilophosaurus. You smiled and looked out your window eagerly. Ian looked over your shoulder to try to see it as well.

"Do you see it?" You asked scanning the lush greenery for any sign of a dilophosaurus.

"Nope," Ian answered almost as disappointed as you were.

You sighed disappointedly and resumed your position. But this still didn't dampen your excitement, "I know we're gonna see at least one dinosaur on the tour."

You could tell Ian was opening his mouth to say something pessimistic, but you held up a
finger before he could, "We will!" you reiterated. Ian didn't try to fight on that, he just grinned and nodded his head.

Soon your jeeps all stopped in front of the tyrannosaur paddock. A huge electrified fence separated your jeeps from the paddock. A goat tied to a metal pole just laid there waiting to be eaten. You shook your head, "Tyrannosaurs hunt instinctively, they don't want to be fed," you commented quietly.

You still hoped to see the T-rex somewhere but again there was no dinosaur in sight. The jeeps left the paddock and continued on with the tour.

"Uh, now eventually you do plan to have dinosaurs on your- on your dinosaur tour right? hello? yes?" Ian taunted leaning into the camera speaking to John. You didn't really listen to what he said cause his ass was now much closer to your face.

You looked away from his ass as he sat back down saying, "See the tyrannosaur doesn't obey set patterns or park schedules, the essence, uh, of chaos."

"I still don't really get this chaos theory."

You could tell he was more than happy to explain to you, he placed his hand on your shoulder as he proceeded to speedily explain, "Oh, it simply deals with predictability in complex systems."

You just kinda nodded but your expression indicated for him to go on.

"The shorthand is the- the butterfly effect. A butterfly can flap its wings in Peking, and in Central Park, you get rain instead of sunshine."

You barely heard his quick mumbling explanation, it was as if he was trying to confuse you.

"Um..." is all you could utter expressing your confusion.

You and Ian both laughed.

"Did I go too fast? I did a fly-by, " he smiled playing with your hair just a bit. "let me get that glass of water," he reached over the front seat and grabbed one of the small cups of water from one of the cup holders and turned back to you with the cup, "we're gonna conduct an experiment, this should be still the car's bouncing up and down but that's okay it's just an example."

Ian put the water down in the cup holder closest to him and grabbed your wrist, "now put your hand flat like a hieroglyphic."

Once he had straightened your hand the way he wanted he continued with the demonstration picking up the cup. "Let's say a drop of water falls on your hand, which way is the drop gonna roll off? Which finger or uh, thumb will it roll off of?"

"Um, thumb," you guessed.

he let a small drop of water land on and then roll down the back of your hand, "Aha okay, now freeze your hand, don't move. I'm going to do the same thing, start with the same place again. Which way is it gonna roll off to?"

"Back I guess, the same way."

He dropped the water droplet on your hand again, then gasped watching it roll down a different direction, "It changed, it changed, why?" he put down the cup and grabbed your hand and then continued to carress the back of it with his finger, "because, tiny variations, uh, the- the orientation of hairs in your hands, the amount of blood distending your vessels, imperfections in the skin."

"Imperfections, huh?"

"Microscopic, microscopic. They never repeat and vastly affect the outcome, and that's what?"

You grinned, "unpredictability or, chaos."

You were thoroughly enjoying this demonstration, it almost made you forget the disappointment that was this tour so far. Just then you saw Alan and Ellie get out of their car and then run down a hill.

"Look at that! see! see, I'm right again, no one could've predicted that Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler would suddenly- suddenly jump out of a moving vehicle," Ian pointed out.

You got out of the car yourself, unknowingly giving Ian the chance to watch your ass as you left.

You followed your sister and Alan to see what they had jumped out of their cars for until you saw a sick triceratops laying down that Ellie and Alan were already kneeled down in front of.
