Luke's pov

I was asleep when Pete pushed me with his legs and was about to throw me out the bed. I woke up to kill the hell out of him but was surprised with him kicking in his sleep like he was in a fight with someone. He was sweating too so I did my best to wake him.

" Pete, wake up honey." I shook him

He opened his eyes worriedly, looking around him.

" Shh, it's gone, it's gone you are fine." I pulled him to my chest as I caressed his hair.

He nodded and closed his eyes lazily again, getting back to sleep. I wonder what he was dreaming about. I brushed it off and returned to sleep too. I woke up after a while, Pete wasn't here. I am somehow still worried about him so I really couldn't go wash up before seeing him.

" Pete?" I called

" Yes?" He showed up from Desty's room

I smiled and waved my hand to him to come closer. He grinned and came. I hugged this little spider.

" Good morning!" He said hugging me back

" Good morning to you too, Spidey. How are you?" I pecked his forehead

" I am good!" He just tightened his grip then pulled away," I am sorry for waking you at night!"

" You shouldn't be sorry about it. It's okay!"

" Go freshen up! Dad said that we should be ready because he is talking us out and then we will go with him to meet Matilda's family."

" Okay then."

I went to my room, did my routine, texted Heaven then went downstairs to have breakfast. We enjoyed teasing Pete and Dest about not forgetting to clean the kitchen and the dishes. We had a good laugh in the morning.

I walked back to my room, opened my laptop and grabbed some sheets. I have to study a bit so I won't lose track of the lessons.

After a while, I heard Marco calling me, " Lucas!"

Lucas? Am I in trouble? Hmm well I did nothing today. I jumped from my bed and got out almost sprinting.

" Loulou?" He called again

Loulou? I am not in trouble

" Yes?" I asked confused

" Go please, tell Emmett we are leaving in an hour."

" You are going to attack them?" I asked.

Yesterday they talked about it and discussed the plan.

" Yep."

" Can I go with you?" I asked with big hoping eyes

" Nope!" My older brothers simply said

I want to argue but I know it's to no avail so I just pressed his lips together and went to do what he had told me. I went to the back house where the boys were staying.

" Hey, Luca!" Griff showed up

" Hey, how are you bro?" I smiled

" I am fine. What is the baby doing here?"

Here he is! The jerk!

" I came to change your diaper." I smirked

" Griffin, leave him alone!" I heard someone scolded from behind

I turned around to be faced with Dean.

" Hey, bro!" I smiled genuinely

He is always nice to me. He ruffled my hair, and greeted me back.

" You are spoiling him." He complained as usual

" And what's your problem with it or you too want to get spoiled? Is this baby jealous?" Dean smirked

I chuckled. Griff gave him a poker face and walked away.

" Serves him right." I said," Thank you."

" Welcome, Luca, so what are you doing here?"

" I came to see Emmett, could you lead me to his room, please?"

" Yeah, sure, this way!"

He led me to his room. " Here!" He said as we reached his room's door

" Thanks!"

" No problem, just don't ruffle his feathers."

" I won't! I won't risk my ass." I said

" Great then." He chuckled and patted my back before going downstairs.

I knocked on the door.

" Get in!" He said from the other side

I got inside and was faced with a fancy living room. I scanned the place as Emmett hadn't shown up yet, his laptop was on the table with some arranged sheets and here's when it caught my attention my USB plugged into the laptop.

How did this thing come in here? I saw him throwing it in his drawer. Hmm...

" Lucas!"

I looked up, blinking twice. When did he come in here?

" Morning sir."

" Where were you? You look so invested in your thoughts." He chuckled and before I managed to say anything, he spoke again, " Whatever, what are you here for?" Sitting on the couch

" I? Hmm, yeah, Marc has sent me to tell you that you are leaving in an hour." I said

" Who's Marc?" He asked as his mouth twisted in a smirk

" Marco sir." I corrected

" Nice, sit Luke!" He ordered

I sat down and looked at him to tell me what's ahead.

" I checked your work and I have to say that you did amazing."

I beamed with joy out of sudden like I have a peak of dopamine or something.

" The idea, the coding you made, everything was tremendous! That's what I call a fantastic work! Outstanding! It's connected and explained nicely. I am done with it and absolutely it will be a great protection for us."

I can't now describe how I feel! I don't know how I should answer him at this moment! Like I am so happy that he acknowledged my work and he liked it. I am so happy to hear this from him to see this proud look on his face.

" Thank you sir, I really don't know what to say but I am glad that you liked it."

" No problem Luke, you really did a great job. Keep it up, okay?" He patted my shoulder

" Yes sir!"

I thought he wouldn't ever see it with the way he talked coldly and threw it like trash when I gave it to him but that's Emmett... He doesn't want to show his nice side all the time.

" Now you are dismissed." He said

I nodded, yep he was done being nice for today.

" Have a great day ahead, sir."

" You too, Luke."

I grinned and walked out. Nothing will ruin my mood for the day. I got inside the house. I annoyed my little siblings then went to my room to study a bit. after an hour, I went downstairs to grab a bottle of water when I met Diana

" You are leaving?" I asked

" Yep."

" Where?"

" You know Luca, I will go to distract them."

" Ohh yeah, can you take me with you? I will help." I smiled genuinely

Just say yes please!

" Nope!" She simply rejected

" Whyyy?" I whined

" Because Marco and Malik didn't allow you to go."

" Ughhh! Please, I'll be good." I whined more

She smiled warmly," You are always good, Loulou just this time stay here, okay?"

" Okay, fine." I pouted

She kissed my cheek and said," C'mon don't pout."

" I'll try." I said pouting even more

She kissed my other cheek and said," See you later, honey."

" See you, take care, please."

" Don't worry." She said as she walked to the living room

Peter's pov

We cleaned the dishes after breakfast. Nick walked inside and gave me a cup of coffee. " Wash this too."

I glared at him. " Okay." I took it and washed it.

" Pete? Where's Luke?" Cole asked as he entered the kitchen

I wiped my hands and searched in my pockets. " Well, not there!"

" HAHA, so funny!" He said, looking at me with a poker face

" Lucas!" He called

" Don't scare him!" I said, shooting him with a death look

" Okay, Loulou?" He called again

" Yes?" Luca came downstairs

" Honey, how are you?"

He blinked twice as Nico chuckled.

" Fine?" He answered hesitantly

" Perfect! Go please, tell Emmett we are leaving in an hour."

" You are going to attack them?" He asked

" Yep."

" Can I go with you?" Luke asked hopefully

" Nope!" My older brothers said together, leaving no room for discussion

Luke pressed his lips together and went to do what he was told.

Cole grabbed a plate, knife and some vegetables.

" What are you doing?" Desty asked horrified

" Making salad."

" Like now? After we finished cleaning the kitchen and the dishes?" I asked, deadpanned

" Yep, why not?"

" Then clean it yourself."

" I am not punished, but you both are. We can call dad and discuss it." He smirked

I huffed. Nico chuckled and grabbed the cake from the fridge, milk and some cornflakes.

" And you? What are you doing Mister?" Desty raised her eyebrow at him

" Feeding myself before fighting."

" Yeah, right, we should eat well so we can fight well." Cole agreed

" This is so not done!" I seethed

" Go complain to daddy." Nico teased as he smacked my butt

Fuck! It should be a playful one, not hurtful!

After they finished, they sat on the side table eating. The counter was like a tornado hit it. I'm gonna cry!

" So cruel!" Desty whined

" Work you asses not your mouths." They said at the same time and smirked

What telepathy! Or no, they do have the same humor and stupidity.

We just shot glares at them and started cleaning the place. I know that if we complain or whine, it won't change shit but dig our grave deeper.

They are bitches! I hope they get choked with the food!

Wait ! No no God please protect my brothers! I was kidding!

" Eat slowly and carefully please." I warned innocently

They looked at each other then laughed, nodding.

Or God they deserve to get choked! They are jerks! Just a little choke, please!

They are done eating and left. We cleaned their dishes then Luke came.

" Babies, still working?"

" Not babies!" We glared at him

" Fine, how's the punishment going?"

" It's hell!"

" Yeah, annoying and tiring."

We complained as we hugged him.

" Aww my babies." He cooed then chuckled," That's amazing so you will learn to listen to the instructions."

We looked at each other and pinched him.

" Oww, kiddos!" He pulled away, " Don't do that."

" You are annoying."

" And irritating."

" Fine! Won't make fun of your misery." He said as he kissed our foreheads

" Why did you take so long with Emmett?" I asked

" We talked about the program I made." He grinned

So my bubba is happy and proud! Then that Emmett appreciated his efforts. Good good! If he upset my bubba, I would have pointed a gun to his head. No one upset my softy!

" My awesome bubba, I know you did a great job."

" My precious baby spider." He kissed my cheeks then said," Carry on working."

" Can you help?"

" Dad will get mad at me and you should really learn, like if I help you the lesson won't stick."

" Bad bubba." I pouted

He chuckled then said," Don't forget the timeout."

" Just piss off." I said irritated

Dest grabbed the broom. " Time to sweep the floor."

He ran out of the kitchen laughing.

Desty and I were sitting in the living room after we were done with our time-out, watching a movie while Dad and mom were having coffee and chatting.

" We will have to wash those cups later." Desty whispered

" I know! When this murder will end?" I huffed

Diana came and said," See you later, we are leaving."

" It's time?" Dad asked

" Yep, Marco and Malik left to talk with the men already."

" Great." Dad smiled

" Take care sissy." Desty said, pouting

" I will love, just don't cause troubles and stay on your best behavior, you too Pete." She kissed our foreheads

" Yeah sure!" I smiled

We hugged her goodbye hug. She left and Luke came frowning.

" What's up?" Mom asked

" I am in the gang too, why didn't they let me go with them? Even Diana said no to my face." He complained

Mom and dad chuckled.

" We have something else to do, we will meet Matilda's parents, and we want to take you all three out." Mom told him

He cheered," That's fine then."

After an hour, we got in our limo and visited all the great places in France. We even had a cruise on their famous river. We had our lunch at one of the best restaurants, the decorations were amazing like I am in a castle from history and the food was bussin' just amazing! Then we had so much fun in the amusement park.

At 4pm, we went to Matilda's house. We got in as Matilda's mother welcomed us.

" Hey, Mr. Carnell and Mrs. Carnell."

" Hello."

" Nice to see you again Mrs. Rivera." Mom answered

" Please, get in." Her father said," Ohh you brought your kids?"

" Yep, I didn't want to leave them alone at home, this is Pete, Destiny and Luke."

" Nice to meet you." We said together

They smiled. We got inside and he said, bemused," I thought you don't have a daughter or she is your wife's?"

" She's ours." Dad said simply

" Ohh, that's great."

We sat in the living room

" Where's Matilda?" Desty asked

" Here I am! I just got the macarons out of the oven." She came with a plate containing coffee and macarons

" You don't have to tire yourself, honey." Mom told her

" It's not a problem. Please serve yourselves." She said as she put the plate on the table

" Sure thing I can't resist your macarons!" Desty cheered

" Nor her coffee, thanks Elda." Luke grabbed a coffee

She smiled fondly and said," I missed you so much."

" We did too." I stood up and hugged her

She hugged me back then Luke and Desty joined. She kissed our foreheads and we pulled away returning to our places.

" We love Matilda so much. She's like my daughter." Dad said

" I see. And I believe as she is like your daughter you won't accept her to marry a mafia leader."

" You are right. She's so precious to marry a mafia leader and put her life and her future in danger."

What has dad just said? I was stunned. I can't believe he just said that. Does that mean that he doesn't believe that Cole is a good person? I was shocked. I looked to the side to see Luke and Dest just stunned as I am. Luke's eyes are wide open and for that bunny she just stopped eating the macaroons for a moment startled.

" Good that we agreed. Even you, you would like to be more powerful by marrying a girl from another mafia."

" Yeah, that's the best for us as a mafia."

" Uncle Domy?" Matilda was shocked at this point

Has dad eaten a poisoned Apple before we arrived? What is wrong with him? even Matilda is shocked. I can't understand him.

Mom and Matilda's mother blinked twice. Her father was confused. Like dad, what the hell are you doing?

" But knowing my son, he is not a normal mafia leader, the only thing that he is concerned about is power, bucks and properties. He cares about our safety and he will do his best to protect his family and provide for it the best future."

I wanted to laugh so much at that moment dad knows how to convince others and the way he made all of us confused and now proving his point

" Add to that he is a good man, he didn't play around and he is so serious about his love for her. Leave what happened in the past, he was a kid."

" I left what is in the past. I saw how he protected us the night when some gunmen broke into my daughter's house and tried to kill us. I saw how my daughter was alone fighting. I saw how he just came to see if we are alive or not after everything is set. And I saw how good a man he is, he turned my daughter into a killer just like him."

" Look Mr. Rivera, I was about to lose my son that night, he sent all his men to your rescue and fought 35 men alone weaponless. I guess without our men's help you could have left that building and you saw how they protected both of you. Second, you should be grateful that Marco turned her into a killer too, at least your daughter knew how to defend herself and didn't let them use her against us."

" I respect you, your presence and your point but for me, Marco is bad news for my daughter. He won't do her any good. He is rude, furious, disrespectful, and a cold assassin. One day he will kill my daughter if she steps in his way."

" With all due my respect, Mister Rivera, you don't know him well enough to say those things and don't predict what will happen in the future. Please don't call my brother those names ever again, it hurt us. He is a great man, an amazing brother and he will be the best father just like dad. Your daughter is an adult too, mature enough to choose." I was furious how dare he say those words, but I controlled myself to not blast on his face and talked normally and respectfully

My brother doesn't deserve this harshness, he always tries to give the best to us.

They all turned their attention to me while I felt my back being pinched. That hurts bad. I glared at Luke. He should be on my side, proving my point not pinching me. Plus it hurts!

" Good job." Desty whispered

Her father looked at me stunned then laughed and said," How could he be a father? He just lost his child while he followed his obsession of leading the mafia."

I know that everything I will say out of frustration will be shot back at Cole like I am his kid brother who is also rude and obnoxious just like him so I should be careful and be calm.

" Mr. Rivera, you shouldn't judge him for that. Think suddenly when you are enjoying your teens they tell you your father died and that a mafia killed him. What can he do? He has no one so he stood for himself." Mom said

He just shook his head, smiling mockingly.

" You saying this just proves that you don't know him. Mr. Rivera, my brother, took good care of the three of us, me Luke and Destiny. Like with all the things he is dealing with he always makes time for us. He is always prioritizing our education and always ensuring our safety. He took us all out of our dark phases of life, made us strong and responsible. He puts his life for our safety, giving his best to us and not allowing us to join the mafia stuff. He loved us but never let us get spoiled, bringing us back to line as soon as we stepped out of it. I don't think even a father can do this, let alone a brother. I am sure he would be the best father ever. He never loved us as siblings but as his own children, and as his first child I am sure his actual children would be the most lucky ones. Whatever happened in the past was just a cruel fate, nothing else. I don't see anybody deserves to have a nice family more than him. His anger has reasons; lost his mother at the mere age of 8! Still stood strong. He is the most perfect man to have a family. And if I had a daughter and she loved him, I would have accepted this marriage and supported it."

Dad smiled softly at me then nodded. Luke rubbed my back.

" Moreover, your daughter loves him. Sorry for my words but if you think you are a good father, you should be the one looking for her happiness as your first priority. Look at her, do you think she is happy when her father is giving her all this stress?"

" I am sure Marco, as a father, would never ever do it! He won't do this to us, let alone his child." Desty added

" Sir, believe me you won't regret a bit when you support them, you will gain a son not a son-in-law, you will love him and respect him just like us once you talk to him with a warm heart, without any grudges held. You will see how pure his heart is." Luke joined too

Good job, bubba! Hope the guy gets convinced after all that.

" He is a great son too, rude, yes, but you can count on him." Dad said as he felt so proud

A smile broke on his face. " I see! Where is he by the way?"

" He didn't want you to be madder so he didn't come with us." Mom said, covering up for him

" You made us honored with your visit, Mr. Carnell and I guess Marco deserves a chance. Tell him to come and exchange the rings."

We cheered, finally God! Ohh my brother will be happy again.

He insisted on us to stay and have dinner but Dad refused gently. Ohhh I thought we will be free of the murder this dinner, Ughhhh!
