Luke's pov

It was finally Sunday when I didn't have any full day at the gang or any other preoccupied plans for the day, just all for me this time.

There are many things that I like but I don't know what I would wanna do today. I feel a bit clueless though.

I decided to make a good start and just shower and dress first. I need to make the full use of the day for myself.

I sat at my desk and tried to study for a while. It's better that I at least sharpen my revisions so I won't struggle during the exams. I read for a while but I wasn't interested, I do it daily, it's not something I need to dedicate my holiday for.

Then suddenly, it clicked with me, I could maybe learn some stuff in the field, like there's many things I can learn and catch up with and I just know someone so perfect to help and teach me around!

It is indeed very fun!!

I will go see Emmett then!

I took my keys and stuff then ran downstairs happily. I drove out of the house to go to him. I parked in front of the warehouse, it's still so early, I won't find much of my mates around here.

I marched straight to Emmett's office and knocked in

" Get in." He said

" Good morning sir!!" I said cheerfully as I entered

" What's up? Didn't you have a day off?"

" I do!" I nodded, " And maybe you can teach me loads about the tech stuff please??"

" I'm busy." He said turning to his papers, " And like I know I'm not a teacher."

" Please sir! Like you can have this day off too and deal with just one person and not get annoyed by many faces and the day won't go down to waste too! It's a win-win for both of us! Please!"

" You are good at negotiating! It's a nice deal but give me one concrete reason why you want me to teach you as there's Ezra here and Pedro."

Because I like and prefer him better? I like Pedro too but he is too busy and apparently, no one else clicked my mind. For Ezra, sure he was nice but I won't be comfortable around him. It will be awkward.

" Because you promised me to ask you if I needed any help anytime. Not them."

" Hmm, not a reason to make me accept to teach you." He smirked

" Sir please!" I almost whined, " It's easier with you."

" Is it?"

" Yes sir, it is."

" Still not a reason." He is still smirking

" I just like you the best so I prefer you." I said but not exactly looking at him, it feels a bit unusual to say it out like this.

" Hmm, I thought you liked me from a distance."

I looked at him wide eyed, when did he hear that. I remember saying it just once, to dad. That's it.

" Anyway, I'll be happy teaching you, let's go to my room or to the lab?" He asked me

" Thank you sir! Anywhere is fine!"

I couldn't be happier that he agreed!

" Okay, let's go to the lab so we won't get interrupted or bothered by anyone especially after sending them that I will have a day off, they will be shocked and will annoy me so let's hide there."

" Okay!" I replied, " I mean yes sir!"

" Hmm from the start, forgetting how you should address me huh?"

" Sorry sir, it was a slip, won't repeat." I apologized, I don't want him to change his mind because of this!

" It's okay, mister." He pressed the elevator's bottom and when the door opened he mentioned me to go first

I got in and he did too, he again pressed the keys and the elevator moved down. We entered the laboratory together.

He again dropped some snacks for us and we started the sessions. I asked him about certain programs and certain working of the digital bases and he started to explain to me from the core.

He even helped me to create some effective codes and let me practice with him. He told me what the better ones are for the modern requirements and even the commercial stuff related to them.

He showed me how he had programmed some of the stuff in here and what was the process and not once he was annoyed by any single question, I asked him. The most wholesome set of hours I had in the warehouse in a while.

I was finishing the code of the program that he just explained to me. " Sir, check please."

" You did great!" He ruffled my hair

I smiled contended. " Thank you sir!"

" You're welcome, do you know we've been here for 6 hours? And it's so many hours of studying."

" Oh!" I said amused, this is new!

" You don't have a headache?" He asked concerned

" No sir."

" Nice, but I bet you are hungry. So we have to have our lunch, wanna have it here or out?"

I surely am hungry though!

" Anywhere is fine!" I said as per as he feels comfortable about but I would rather go out with him, like it must feel a fresh gust of wind to be out of the warehouse and not just for work.

" So I know a nice restaurant, let's go have it there."

I smiled widely. " Sure sir!"

He smiled and soon changed it to his usual face," Then let's go." He opened the elevator

We got inside his car and he drove to the restaurant he told me about. It was a comfy place. We sat at a table with a nice view from the window.

" So Luke, why did you want to spend your day off like this?"

" Because I couldn't find anything more interesting for me to busy my day with. I thought about going out too but then I do it usually too, I won't need a whole day for it and I didn't know what more could interest me."

" Hmm you have Heaven, you could have taken her out, to another city, to do something new together. Check your college activities and join one related to your liking, you will fill your days. You can try to learn another language too."

Oh there's so much I could have done! Like, learning Spanish because I don't understand shit when they talk and activities I could have checked, though most of them are boring. I will still have time to take Evie out!

" You are so right! I could do a lot!" I said as smiled filled my face at the thought

" And I wanna advise you too, if you want to have permission take it from your father because your brothers are overprotective, I saw that, so maybe they will deny some stuff."

" They are." I agreed, possibly hearing it all will shatter but daddy would be a great option!

" Thanks a lot sir!"

" You're welcome, so do you like the food?"

" Yes sir. Loved it! Sir, What food do you prefer in general?" I asked him randomly

" I'm not picky."

" But still anything that hits the chart of being the favorite or you crave it at times?!"

Like c'mon, I have not seen anyone who doesn't have at least one favorite meal.

" No." He said simply

I believe he is hiding it.

" It's not possible at all! We all have favorite food! you must have one too! What's it?" I insisted not believing it

I am not dazzled, I thought the way he insisted on hiding it, the choice would probably blow my mind out.

" I disappointed you huh?" He chuckled

" Sort of, you made so much hype for it for no reason."

" It's stuff mom was making for me."

" Oh I get it! You know I love mac cheese a lot too. It's ridiculously normal but my mom used to make the best of it for me." My eyes shone as I talked about her, I really miss her at times.

" That's nice! So what are you interested in?

" Many things! reading, music, soccer, now graphic design too and yeah I love to cook occasionally too!"

" Nice you can be productive then, I mean socially, you can arrange some time in your Sunday to visit some orphanage, cook for the kids or for the homeless."

" That's... Such a great idea.. " I was amazed, of course it didn't click with me.

How am I so limited to weird stuff, like now I see I could have done a lot but still the first thing I did was to open a book that I read throughout the week.

Hmm, disappointment at its peak Lucas.

" So your Sunday shouldn't be limited to study, you should have fun, be beneficial for others, bond with your loved one, do something for yourself like go have a massage and some body care time."

I absolutely won't regret having him as my fav! Just look at the perfect ideas streaming down!

But like, he comes up with all these amazing stuff and doesn't do shits! Just stay in there and work like crazy!

" Are you annoyed?" I confirmed

Honestly, I don't care if he is, I will ask it anyways but still I just asked because I have to.

" Like with all these amazing options, why don't you use your days off doing something productive like those?" I asked cautiously, no matter how friendly he gets, there are always high chances of him getting into teeny moods and snap at me

" Who told you that I don't? Not seeing me doesn't mean that I don't do things like that."

" Really? You do?!" I asked with so much interest, " So what do you like to do?"

" I don't have to tell you, finish your food."

I frowned at him, that's not how convo works

" Now I am annoyed." He smirked

I just shrugged it off, okay be annoyed and let me see if I utter any more words than the formals now.

" Wanna dessert?" He asked

" No, thank you sir."

" No? Really? Like an ice cream with KitKats."

Ice cream with kit kats? Sounds like perfection!

And without waiting for me to answer. " Like you want, I'll get it for myself." He called the waiter, and he got them to him

I looked at him with betrayed eyes, he didn't tell me we were going to have ice cream and kit kats for dessert! Now shamelessly enjoying it in front of me!

I glared and just looked away, He didn't even waited me to answer him

It was malted chocolate ice cream with plenty of chopped-up Kit Kats. This is an insane level of cruelty! God won't forgive you for this!

" This is so great! I didn't think they could be so good together. It's no-churn and no-fuss, and it satisfies any ice cream lover's taste buds and I am one." He said happily

I just sat with my hands folded on my chest. Now shamelessly being poetic about it in front of me too! the guts!

" You are really missing a whole world here."

" And you can't be bothered to share!"

" I hate sharing." He wiggled his eyebrows

" It's healthy to do it, sometimes!"

The waiter came and put in front of me the same ice cream

" Enjoy." He chuckled

" Thanks!" I cheered and dug in

" How was it?"

" So heavenly and perfect!"

" Happy you liked it." He smiled

" So you didn't tell me yet, what do you like to do?" I'm not dropping it any soon.

" You are still on that?" He chuckled," I love playing games, going to the cinema and watching horror movies. They give me a good laugh. Helping the engineers we have to make guns and stuff like that, visiting the houses where they take care of old aged people, staying with them, talking with them. It's nice to learn from others' experience and offer company. Visit my family, they say that dead people can hear us talking to them, visiting orphanages and surprise kids. Go to have races on horse. Satisfied?" He asked

" So cool!!" I said, amazed, " You own a horse too?"

" I do."

" This is again so cool!"

" Wanna see it?"

" Yes please!" I agreed

" Then let's go!" He get the bill and paid

I got up too. " Where are we going?" I asked excitedly, I remember it was so fun to ride the horse the last time with dad. We enjoyed it so much and I have always been fascinated by horses, they are just awesome.

" To see the horse and make you have a ride if you stay good." He said

" I will be so good!" I promised with a determined tone, I don't wanna lose the chance ever!

He chuckled, ruffling my hair, " Get in." He said as he unlocked the car

I got inside as he sat on the driver's seat.

" Sir? Will it take time to be there??" I asked him

" Yes, you have something else to do?"

" No sir, so may I put on some songs while we go there?"

" Yeah, of course." He said as he started the car and left the parking lot

And that was my cue! I put on my playlist which was dominated by TS but of course had some other classic bops too.

It was fun listening to music while driving, I was looking aside from the window. It's fun to observe the scene every time.

" You have just Taylor swift's?" He asked

" No, more too, I just like her the best. You wanna change to anything else?"

" I'm just asking, you didn't go to any of her concerts?"

" Oh I did! Once with Eve! It was the best day ever! Marc got me albums then the concert tickets!"

But I remember I had one of the most memorable ass beating that time, it wasn't pleasant at all!

I just mentally winced at the memory, the time when my brothers didn't leave an offense to not be taken care of. They still don't but much lighter now, or let's say I started reducing the trouble! Hey hey, don't jinx it!

And of course, the same morning, well, the night both my brothers came to make it up and honestly, it was also the best moment I shared with them. Marc was so guilty, I remember. He even never punished me that way again, I mean if we exclude the most recent one, it's still not as nerve wracking as that one.

" Nice, he is a nice brother. Do you like Marco or Malik more?"

" Peter. I like him the best."

" I mean between your older brothers."

" I can't choose. " I said simply

" The one you are comfortable with more? The one that you feel open around him."

I love them both, Marc is easy on me, team up with me and spoils me a lot but so does Nick, he is just not too good at expressing and with Marc, I would say Pete did the magic to him but still I would always have the special gratitude for Nick for never give up on me, I love and fear him the most at the same. Marc is scary too but I didn't experience much, it was always the best of him for me.

I took a while to think about it more. " I don't know, both of them."

" Okay, fine." He smiled

We reached the stable where Emmett kept his horse.

" His name is Apollo." Emmett grinned as he walked inside

And he was such a strong one, just so shiny, jet brown. A fierce one and I couldn't be happier to see him.

I followed him

" Hey buddy!" He patted him and caressed his body, " Did you miss me? Ohh yeah, here's Luke, my student." He chuckled

The horse neighed again like he is greeting me

" Come Luke." Emmett called me to touch it

I caressed hiù, still fascinated by him and said, " Hello!"

" He likes you." Emmett said to me

" I like him too!" I smiled widely, still patting him.

Emmett put on his saddle. " We are getting out, honey." He said to him, " Come Luke, have a ride!"

" Thank you." I smiled widely and got on the horse

He was calm and patient. I guided him out of the stall and I rode him in the garden there. We walked first then I started running. He was running fastly and flexibly. I pulled the bridle and he slowed down. I patted him," Great job bud."

He is well trained. I finished the ride and got down as Emmett took over,

After he enjoyed his ride, he returned his house to the stall and looked at me, " How is it?"

" So amazing!"

" Happy you had fun, let me check the keeper then we will go back home."

" Yes sir." I said as he went to check the keeper while I just cherished Apollo a bit more.

He came after a while, said goodbye to Apollo then we left the place and headed home.

" Here you go, I'll tell one of the boys to get your car. Enough studying and enjoy the rest of the day." He said as he stopped in front of the house

" Yes sir and thank you so much for making time for me, I really had a great time!"

" It was nice having time with you, Lucas, whatever, go inside."

' Whatever' this word is attached to his tongue!

" Yes sir, I might take more sundays from you in future!" I grinned, " Good day!" and got out.

" You too." He smiled and waited me till I got inside then left

I got inside and marched to the living room

" Hello, honey." Daddy was there

" Hey daddy!" I smiled and went to him

" How are you? Did you enjoy your day?" He hugged me and kissed my forehead

" Yes daddy!" I hugged him back

" Nice, go rest babe, your mother took Peter and dest and left us to have little peace."

" Where did they go?"

" They all went to check the local that your mother will start her work from."

He sighed deeply," Yeah!"

" Good for us, let's watch some movies?"

" Yeah, I'll get popcorn, put on a nice movie and let's move to the basement."

I went to the basement, took the remote and jumped on sofa

I heard a loud scary howl, " Waghhh!!" as my ass didn't land on the sofa, it was a wiggling stomach!

" Dad and I were gonna watch movies."

" Dad knows I am here, that's why coming to watch a movie here, I'll kill him later." He kissed my forehead," Go put the movie on and come back."

" You will kill him?"

" No of course, we love daddy."

" Then I'll put the movie on." I said and went to put on the movie

I sat beside him again and clung on him. " How was the day?"

" It was nice and now it's the nicest." He rubbed my arm then my back," You tell me what you did on your day off till now?"

" Ohh I was with Emmett the whole time till now!" I said excitedly as I proceeded to tell him ahead, " I asked him to teach me some stuff and he agreed, so he took a day off and we studied in the lab, then he took me to the restaurant, then to the horse and I even rode it with him. Oh and I had that amazing kit kat ice cream today!" I told about the whole day with so much excitement

" Wow, you did all this? Look at mister Emmett and I was thinking he is killing himself. Do you feel good and happy? Look at this smile, I love it the best." He kissed my cheek

" Yes I do! Now even more!" I giggled

" You started to have a lot of time with this Emmett! Do you start to love him too?"

" He is nice and of course I like him! He is cool!"

" C'mon you were whining every time he showed up." Nick laughed

" Yeah I was but he isn't as bad as I assumed him to be!"
