Luke's pov

After I had some tongue lashes from Pete, for nothing. Of course he was stressed. Anyways I sorted it my way then went out to see Lan. I spent some time with him and was heading home when I saw Pete on the road. Let's get my baby with me and have some fun, maybe he will feel a bit better.

I stopped the car on the side and found him... High as fuck? His face was an absolute mess. I tried talking to him and he just walked away in front of a car that was heading his way, still talking nonsense.

I lost my shit to witness that. I pulled him aside. He has no idea what he is even saying! I was about to lose him. To say I was scared would be an understatement, I was fucking terrified!

What if I missed by a second or what if I wasn't even here?! He was this high, anything could have happened to him. I did the unexpected and regretted it instantly.

I slapped him.

I can't believe what the fuck did I just do?! How can I?! I don't know. He wasn't reasoning with anything, I got scared and just... No. I feel like crying now. I never raise my hands on him ever. I just did it. He must be too overwhelmed and the way he looked at me with those eyes, like he never expected it from me. Now this will haunt me for life.

We got home and had dinner. He told me about the details and we spent some great time together then went to sleep. I couldn't get myself to sleep at all. I was thinking about Pete's condition.

He is too young to be facing all of this. It would be surprising if he didn't have a breakdown after this but being the strong kid he is, he managed to survive it too. I know with the worst ways possible but it's actually difficult to reason well in that situation. I should have tried my best to help him. Maybe certain things could have been avoided.

I still can't believe how I slapped him. I feel so horrible about it. So horrible!

I hurt him when I shouldn't have. The guilt is eating me bad. Pete says we are cool, he forgives me and understands all those shits but the thing is I can't forgive myself.

I stayed up for so long and then watched some series on the laptop to get sleepy. It worked, I drifted off to sleep

" Lucaaa!!! Wake up." Pete shook me, yelling

I opened my eyes lightly. Oh what a start to the day!

" 5 mins." I mumbled

" Ohh, you stayed up? I'll tell on you." He said as he grabbed the laptop from my side

" Nah you won't!"

" I will! Cole!!!" He yelled

I got up and put my hand on his mouth. " Just lemme sleep for 10 mins, stay shut till then!"

" C'mon love, join me too. I will top up your game later, whatever you say just let me sleep and stay shut."

He smiled and nodded.

" Nice." I left him and drifted back to sleep

He said," From where you get the money to top up my games?"

" I just got it, shh."

" They pay you well in the gang?"

" You won't let me sleep?"

" No, no, sorry. Sleep baby." He said as he stroked my hair and patted my butt

" Stop that." I said removing his hand from my butt. " Pete, I'm serious, no words ahead, lemme sleep! "

" Yes sir!" He said as he threw himself on my bed as his hand crushed my chest, " Ow my bad."

" Don't move now."

" Okay, I'll stay like a status." He giggled then stopped himself

I slept peacefully ahead

" Lucaaaa!!! 10 minutes over." He yelled

" Fuck you Pete, lemme sleep more." I said turning around

" Fuck you. Lucas, wake up!! Cole! Nico! Luke didn't sleep the whole night!!!" He yelled

" Pete!!" I got up instantly, putting him in a headlock. " You are tired of me so want to get rid of me or what?"

" No... No... I want you to wake up, my dearest brother!!" He said innocently

" Hmm hmm, I am up." I said stretching my arms out

" Aww good! Between all of them in the garden even if I yelled they wouldn't hear me." He laughed

" Nice then, I will sleep." I said falling down on the bed again

" Ohh, I'll go call them from the window." He ran to the window and opened it, " Cole!!!"

" Yeah!" I heard Cole replying to him

" Ugh, Pete, I really slept too late. I need my sleep please baby spider stop it."

" Cole, can you come up here? Luke is not fine." He yelled then turned to me," Baby spider, huh?"

" Did I say that out loud? well that's my secret nickname for my favorite, best and the only baby brother who will tell Marc everything is alright and will let his softy sleep peacefully, right love?"

" Hmm no." He looked at me with smug look

" Fuck you, baby bro." I said sarcastically, throwing my head on the pillow

" Cole, call Nico too." He yelled

" Stop yelling! this kid won't lemme sleep!" I said and got up

" Ohh! Good you are up, let's wash your face." He said as he opened my bathroom door

" You stay there, I will come back." I said as I got in and closed the door, washed up and came back

He was on my phone," Ohh from when you have nudes on your phone!"

" What? I don't have them." I stated simply

" Ohh this is Heaven. The nudes for Heaven." He laughed

" Oh so funny." I said with a sarcastic laughter

" Ohh she has good boobs." He said

" Shut up Peter, it's not nice and appropriate to comment like that!"

" Peter? Sorry didn't mean any offense." He looked at me the same way when I slapped him

I instantly regretted it, Fuck you Lucas! Should have been nicer with him

" I am so sorry spider, I didn't mean it in a serious way. I was just saying that it's not nice to make that comment even if you are kidding. I am not offended, not at all. I will try to be nicer." I said cupping his face

" No problem... Let's go out, I just want to tell you that I told Dad and nico. They were understanding even Cole though and I'm out of money for a month and no going out alone too." He said as his eyes twitched and he let go of my phone

" Okay, let's go. Where do you want..? "

" I don't know... I just want to go out or you can sleep again, I'll be in my room."

" Pete, wait please. I am really so sorry, I have been very harsh with you, with the absolute worst choices of words. I didn't mean it and I will try to be nicer and calmer, baby bro. We will go out and do whatever you want."

" It's okay, Luca " He said with his evergreen smile, " And yeah, let's go to the arcade! "

" Okay, let's go! If you want, you can call Miles to join us too."

" Yeah no problem! I need to have some time with him too."

I changed my shirt and we went out to the garden

" Morning dad, Nick and Marc." I greeted them

" Morning Luke." Dad said as Nick and Marc smirked

" Can I and Pete go out together? Miles with us too." I asked ignoring the oldies and their looks

" Yeah, have fun." Dad said

We stopped on our tracks and looked at each other then went back to him, " Yeah?"

" Where are you going?" He asked us but looking just at me

" Arcade." I replied

" Hmm, Are you going without your breakfast?"

" We will grab something on the way."

" Nick, I told Miles that we are coming at 10. I will really have something to eat." I insisted

" He can wait! Dining room and have your breakfast or no going anywhere." He sang

" Fine." I said as I sighed

No point of talking him out of it. Plus, not wanting to risk the chances of going out with Pete, he was really excited. I turned my way inside.

" Go watch him Pete." He sent Pete with me

" I don't need to be watched." I said annoyed

" Any other protest, I'll make you stay and grill you." He raised his eyebrow at me

I went inside quietly not testing him on that anymore. If he said he will, he WILL! I am not craving any thrills.

I sat down to take the breakfast that was served for me and dug in

" Ohh! You should have gone without testing him." Pete laughed

" Not funny, I am not even hungry and there's so much food here." I said gulping down the juice

" You have to take it all or I'll tell him."

" Aren't you team Luca? Why would you snitch on me?"

" I'm not. I'm in team Nico, I will tell him."

I looked at him as I was done with half of the food and had no plans to finish the rest.

" I hope you are going to finish this!" Pete smirked

" C'mon, you know how you say ' snitches get stitches ' it's bad! Let's just go, I am full. I have had enough, we can do whatever you want in return." I tried bribing him

" Ohh really? I liked how you were bribing him." Nick appeared

Why is he here? I don't know whether he has the best timing or the worst!

" Mister Whiney, have it all."

" Okay." I said eating a bit more

" Should I feed you?" Nick glared at me

" I am eating! Easy!" I huffed at him annoyed, like I'm eating here why you wanna feed me

If it wasn't for Pete, I would have been sleeping well not gulping down whatever just for the sake of eating.

He tugged my hair lightly," Shh! I feel like someone is complaining."

" I am not and here I am done with the food." I said as I picked up the dishes to take them to the sink.

" Okay... Enjoy your time." He smiled

" Yeah, thanks." I returned the smile

I put them in the dishwasher and came back

" Let's go Pete."

" Wait kid!" He called me again

" You take the keys and wait there." I handed the keys to Pete and went back to him

I wanted to argue on how I am not a kid but no need for that now.

He pleated my jacket's collar and said," Get me some donuts in your way coming home."

" Of course, anything else bro?" I asked him with a smile

" Just be fine." He said as he placed a kiss on my forehead

" Sure, don't worry. Want a hug?" I asked him

" You can afford it?" He chuckled

" I can. Plus it's free for you from my side."

" Then good." He hugged me," So sweet from the morning, what happened to my grumpy Luca?"

I hugged him back. " Nothing, I am always sweet."

" Yeah yeah... Go, don't make him wait and watch him to not smoke again." He patted my shoulder

Time skip™

I had an amazing time with Pete and Miles. Of course we had to come home despite the kids trying to convince me otherwise I know not to test the oldies on that.

We dropped Miles at home and I tried saving his ass, out of my natural stupid instincts thus getting grilled too in the process. Honestly, I was as nervous as Miles because despite whatever bond we three share, I was the oldest and I had to make sure that they are informed and taken care of, for which I partially expected a lecture.

I didn't get one but my ass always itches for some thrills so I jumped in Milo's rescue. Honestly it's been like ages since I witnessed Lev's grilling, don't let his calm and nice composure fool you. He can be bad if he wants.

We got that sorted and came back home. We talked with dad as Pete went to take a shower.

" Where are the oldies? I got Nick his donuts." I asked him

" They left me saying... I need to talk to my future wife." Dad said dramatically

I let out some breath. He is so evil! I can totally see where the oldies got it from!

He laughed and embraced me," You won't shower, babe?"

" I had enough water today! Plus I had a small shower there before changing. I will tomorrow." I said cheekily

" Ohh thanks... Go annoy him and give him his. If he tries anything, call me." Dad said as he started digging in.

I went back to my room to change, probably still talking with Elle. I changed and called Heaven again.
