"This is my fight song!" I scream at the top of my lungs, "Take back my life song!"

This is what I do when I'm home alone. Mom and Dad went on their 24th year anniversary date, leaving the house all to myself.

I jump around the living room and do a few turns and twist. "Starting right now I'll be strong!"

Suddenly, the doorbell echoes through the house, interrupting my me time. I land on the couch with a sigh and get up to open the door.

I open the door to reveal Corbin. I look at him in surprised.

"What are you-" Corbin didn't let me finish as he grab my hand and drag me to his car.

"Wait. Where are you taking me?" He ignore my questions and force me into the car. He didn't even give me time to put on my shoes or get my phone. I'm wearing slippers for Christ sake.

He quickly get into the drivers seat and drive out of the driveway.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask for the hundredth time but Corbin doesn't say anything. I give up and stay silent for the rest of the ride. Why waste my breath when he's not going to response.

About 20 minutes later, we arrive at the same bar that I followed Lucas to a few weeks ago. I have a bad feeling about this.

"Why are we here?" I ask as I get out of the car and walk to Corbin's side.

"You think Lucas is a good guy? I'll prove you wrong." He grab my hand again and drag me into the bar. We enter the bar and I see the same bartender on the corner of the room. He stare at us a few seconds before minding his own business.

Corbin drag me to the very door that I went in. He dragged me through the hallway and stopped at the same last door that I didn't open the last time I was here.

            Oh no.

Corbin reach out for the doorknob and open it slowly and carefully. He open the door slightly, just enough to peek one eye through it.

"This is where he spends most of his time." Corbin nod his head for me to look through the door. With my heart racing and my palms sweaty, I slowly walk towards the door and peep through it.

The sight leaves me speechless. It's a dim room with guys snorting drugs and drinking. I can't see Lucas anywhere but I know he's been in here before, on the day that I followed him.

Corbin lower his voice, "He's involved with a gang and he's the dealer for them. Not so innocent now, is he?"

I want to believe that this is not Lucas but the evidence is all in front of me. The best friend I thought I knew is gone. The best friend I created in my mind is all but an illusion.

My breathing starts to speed up and I find myself gasping for air. I quickly run out of the bar and immediately gasp for the cool air.

"Do you still believe he's a good guy now? He's not worth your love." I turn behind me and stare at Corbin in disbelief.

"Is that what you wanted to prove? That Lucas is a worse guy than you? You're no different from him," I tell him. I can't believe he would think that.

Corbin open his mouth to say something but I look away from him once I see Lucas coming out from the bar with a group of scary looking guys with tattoos.

Lucas immediately spot me. Judging by his face, he is surprised to see me.

"Hazel?" He question. I stay quiet, not knowing how to response. I stare at him in shocked and confusion as he stare at me with surprise and guilt.

"Luke!" One of the guys call Lucas to get in the car.

"I have to go. I'll call you later and explain." Lucas quickly get in their car and leave. I'm left to wonder what the hell just happened.
