"I dare you to make out with Hazel."

My eyes widen in shock. Is she crazy?
I turn to her still in shock at her dare. She smiles at me. I turn to Corbin to see him with his usual expression, emotionless and calm.

"Come on guys. Kiss and makeup already," Meghan says like it's no big deal. This girl is crazy. My face starts to heat up from nervousness.

"Hazel's too much of a prude to do the dare," Corbin taunt me. I roll my eyes at him.

"I'm not playing anymore." I get up and leave the group.

I walk out of the house and relax when the cool night air hits me. I walk to the big tree in front of the yard and lean on it.

I cover my cheeks with my hands to feel the warmth of it and to cool it.

            What's wrong with me?

I stayed outside for about 20 minutes before deciding to go back inside and get Lucas so we can leave.

I walk back to the living room to the spot where we were earlier playing truth or dare only to find that Lucas and Corbin are no longer there. Where did Lucas go?

            "Where's Lucas?" I asks Meghan.

She look up at me from her spot, "I don't know. The basement?" She turns back to the group.

I walk out of the living room and to the hall next to the kitchen where the door to the basement is. I enter the basement and my mouth open slightly in surprise.

This basement is so cool. It's like an arcade in here. No wonder it's so packed in here. There's a pool table, foosball, and a tv where some boys are playing video games along with many more.

I snap out of my reverie and focus on searching for Lucas. I look around from corner to corner only to notice a couple sitting on the sofa making out. The girl is sitting on the guy's lap while making out with him.

            Geez, get a room.

The girl finally pull away from the guy and my jaw immediately drop in shock at the sight. My heart starts racing and everything starts to go by in a blur and slow motion. It felt like my heart literally stopped beating for a minute.

I watch as Lucas pull the girl to him again and press his lips against hers.

I continue to stare at him in shock until I've had enough and couldn't handle it anymore. I rush out of the basement and into the kitchen where it was quieter than the rest of the place.

My breath starts to quicken and I try to calm myself, inhaling and exhaling. A single tear roll down my cheek and I quickly wipe it away. The visual still vivid in my head. Another tear roll down and then another until I couldn't stop it.

After I just confessed to him that I like him, he kisses another girl.

I notice a bottle of vodka just sitting in the counter screaming for me to drink it. Without hesitation, I grab the bottle, open it, and gulp down the bottle. The bitter taste fades away with my tears. The liquid burns down my lungs.

"Slow down there," a familiar voice echoes. I put down the bottle and turn to see the source of the voice.

            Corbin Foxx.

I don't have time to argue with him. I ignore him and bring the bottle to my mouth.

Corbin snatch the bottle out of my hand, "Trying to forget something?"

I turn to face him and he looks at me in surprise. His eyes soften as it trail down my cheek, noticing my tears.

Without thinking, I walk to him and press my lips against his.
