After the fight between Lucas and Corbin, I keep hearing people saying that Lucas got suspended. I texted him and called him but he won't reply or answer my calls.

I decided to find out the answer for myself by confronting him. So here I am now, parking Mom's car on the sidewalk across from Lucas's house.

I take the key out and was going to get out of the car but stopped when I see Lucas coming out of his house. I watch as he walk through the driveway and down to the sidewalk, approaching a black Honda car parked right in front of their house.

I've never seen that car before. Who's in there?

My face twist with confusion as I watch Lucas get in the car and the car leaves. Curiosity wash over me and I can't fight the urge to follow after him and find out where he's going. So that's exactly what I did.

He's been acting so weird lately. He seems out of his mind and unfocused. It's like he's there with me physically but his mind is somewhere else.

I followed the car for about 30 minutes, keeping my distance so they won't notice me. The car turns into the parking lot of a worn out bar in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing in sight but the bar.

What is Lucas doing here?

The bar looks like a small worn out and sketchy bar where bad people come hang out and make plans to do illegal things.

I slowly turn into the parking lot and step on the brake while I watch the car park in front of the bar. Lucas gets out first from the passenger side. I watch in anticipation for the driver to get out. I'm surprised to see an older guy come out of the driver's side. He looks like he's in his late 20s. He had slick back black hair and wore a leather jacket. He does not look like the kind of people Lucas would hang around with. So why is Lucas with him?

They enter the bar. I slowly release the brake and try to find a parking spot far from the black car. There weren't a lot of cars in the parking lot so it was easy to find a parking space. After parking the car, I get out of the car and follow Lucas inside the bar.

I enter the bar and is suddenly engulf into the warm stuffy atmosphere. Oh god, someone needs to open a window in here. It's so dim, stuffy, and uncomfortable in here.

There weren't a lot of customers. Most of them were older biker guys, some playing pools at the corner and others drinking at the counter. There is a slow depressing music playing in the background.

How is this bar still in business?

I ignore that thought and search around for Lucas, but he is nowhere in sight.

"So what brings you here, pretty girl?" I look to the source of the voice to see the bartender staring at me with a blank expression.

He looks about 30 and less scary than the biker guys in here.

I walk towards him. "I'm looking for a friend."

"Are you sure your friend came here?" He asks, wiping down the counter.

"His name is Lucas," I told him. He look up at me with suspicion, telling me that he definitely knows Lucas.

"You're Lucas's friend?" I nod my head in response. He looks me up and down before sighing.

He points to a door in the dark left corner of the bar. "Last door," he instructed and went back to wiping the counter.

I walk to the door he pointed to and open it. I thought the door was to a room but it leads to a dark suspicious hallway with doors on each side of the wall similar to that of a hotel hallway.

Following what the bartender said, I walk down the hallway to the very end to the last door. Facing the door, I can't help but be nervous, swallowing the lump forming in my throat. My mind is racing with different scenarios of what I might see on the other side of this door.

I shake the thoughts out of my head and reach for the doorknob but freeze in my spot.

What if I don't like what I see?

My heart is racing with each passing second. I don't know if I'm ready to see what's on the other side of this door.

Lucas is my best friend. I've liked him since I've first met him. He will always be the nice, kind, and loving guy to me who always know how to make my day. He is a good person. I should trust him more. I do trust him. I know he won't do anything bad.

I try reaching for the doorknob again but couldn't find the strength in me to do it.

He is a good person. I trust him.

I shouldn't be doing this. Maybe this isn't a big deal. Maybe I'm just overreacting and making it seem bigger than it is.

My heart is racing. I begin gasping for air. I step back from the door and make a run for it. I run out of the hallway and out the bar.

I gasp for air and try to calm myself down once I'm out. The fresh air is refreshing, calming me down.

I couldn't do it. I don't want Lucas to be anything but the person I fell in love with. I trust him.

With that final thought, I rush back to my car and drive back home.
