It's Saturday and dad is still nowhere to be found ever since I stood up to him.

I can only pray that he doesn't return.

Earlier I asked my mom if I can go to my friend's pool and she said sure.

I nervously chew my bottom lip as I tug on the lose threads of the towel on my lap.

A large t-shirt covers my body since the only thing I'm wearing is a swimsuit.

"Can you turn this shit off?" Owen's deep voice is heavy with tiredness.

"No." Levina immediately rebuts.

These two have been bickering the entire car ride to her house. I'm sitting in the back seat with Olive.

Since her and Levina are officially dating now she is going to be there as well.

She actually seems pretty chill.

"Why not?" Owen snaps. He seems even more annoyed then usual.

"Stop being a little bitch and just listen to the fucking song." Levina responds as we finally arrive on her street.

It's currently 6pm. I guess this is more of a night swim type of thing. It doesn't really matter though since the pool is an indoor one.

She stops the car abruptly once we get in the driveway, causing all of us to jerk forward.

From where I'm sitting I can see Owen glare at Levina from the side.

I let out a small laugh, to which he turns his head and glares at me as well. His piercing grey eyes making me drop my smile in an instant.

"Okay c'mon!" Levina quickly hops out the car and then hurriedly runs to Olive's door and opens it for her.

"Thank you baby." Olive gives Levina a kiss on the nose and Levina giggles.

As I look over to Owen I see him standing next to them, pretending to gag in disgust.

"Guess you're not into seeing happy couples?" I question him as I stalk towards him.

"Mushy gushy couples make me sick." His blue towel is resting under his arm.

As of right now he is wearing a regular black shirt sleeve t-shirt and a pair of black swim shorts.

Since he is wearing a short sleeve shirt I can finally see more of his tattoos. Along with the small snake one I saw that night in the car, he also a few more scattered on that arm.

I see one of a very small rose. Huh, I love roses. There seems to be a few others, but I can't see them right now.

Levina intertwines her fingers with Olive's and drags her up the steps and inside the house. Owen and I follow right behind.

I'm not sure where Levina's dad is, but his car isn't in their big ass driveway so he must not be home.

"This way." Levina sounds excited as she leads us through her gigantic kitchen and dining room, into a room at the back of the house.

Her pool is a long rectangle, and large floor to ceiling windows allow us to see the outside. There are several lounge chairs and the floor is concrete.

(I'm imaging something similar to this^)

"Damn." My eyes go wide in astonishment.

This girl is so rich.

"I know. I'm jealous too." Owen whispers to me and then walks over to one of the lounge chairs.

Levina takes out one of her speakers and starts playing music.

Levina and Olive immediately start ripping off their clothes. Levina is wearing a sage green bikini. Olive is wearing a dark red one. Both of them look gorgeous.

Levina grabs Olive by the hand and runs to the pool, dragging them both in. They make a big splash when they hit the water.

A smile spreads across my face as I sit on the lounge chair next to Owen.  Placing my phone and towel down, I hesitantly reach for the hem of the large t-shirt.

Before I could take off my own clothes Owen suddenly stands up and tugs off his shirt from the back of his neck and throws it on the chair.

I...

Since he usually wears baggy clothes that cover him completely I've never really seen this much of his skin.

He got a nice body.

He is slim and toned.  He doesn't have a lot of muscle, but a nice amount.  I'm guessing he works out a little because he does indeed have a six pack.

Damn. He has nice legs too.

The sight of his body makes a warm feeling spread through the lower portion of my body.

As he lifts his arm to scratch the back of his head I notice another small tattoo on his inner bicep. Some roman numeral numbers, which I don't understand.

When his gaze meets mine I quickly avert my line of vision to Levina and Olive splashing water on each other in the pool and laughing.

They're so cute.

"Well are you gonna go in?" Owen questions me as he takes a seat back on the lounge chair and pulls out a book.

"Are you?" I retort.

"Eh...maybe later." He shrugs and focuses his attention to the thick book in front of him.

I want to go in but I'm slightly anxious to be in a bikini right now. Owen is practically going to be seeing me in my bra and underwear, when you think about it.

Taking in a shaky breath I quickly slide my arms out of the short sleeves and into the shirt, then dragging it up and off my head.

I'm wearing a purple swimsuit, a shows a little too much skin for my taste, but it's still cute.

Two of my old bruises have healed except the one on my wrist is an ugly purple color. I didn't bother to cover it up with makeup because I could just lie and say I fell or some shit.

Turning around while still sitting on the chair I go for my phone but see Owen staring right at me. I freeze in place. His eyes do a quick take over my body.

A few seconds later he breaks the eye contact, looking totally unfazed.

My face is probably as red as fresh period blood right now.

That's probably a weird comparison, but I feel like the "red as a tomato" saying is played out.

"Owen can you please come in the pool with me. Levina and Olive are being all lovey dovey and I don't want to swim alone." I sigh.

He looks up from his book, dark under eye circles are present.

I tilt my head. "Did you not got much sleep last night? You look tired." I scoot closer to him while still sitting on my lounge chair.

"I couldn't sleep." He responds plainly.

"Do you need my boobs for pillows again?" I have to hold back my laugh when he narrows his eyes at me, glancing down to my chest and then back up to my eyes.

"Yes." A sly smile arises on his lips.

I'm a little taken back, unsure of what to say.

I know that he is probably joking, but still.

"Well I can't help you with that sir. Just get better pillows." I shrug and try to hide my upcoming smile from his remark.

Standing up, I walk over to the other side of his lounge chair and snatch the book out of his hand.

"Hey-" He starts, but I cut him off before he could continue.

"Cállate." Grabbing onto his hand I drag him up so that now he is now standing in front of me. (Translation: Shut up.)

I tilt my head up to look at him, he is looking down at me unamused.  I become slightly insecure realizing how much view he has of my chest.

Snatching his hand I quickly turn around and begin walking to the pool.

"Luna I told you I didn't want to swim." There is a winy tinge to his voice.

"Too bad.  You're going to fucking swim with me." Instead of jumping in I lead us over to the stairs.

The water is warm when I step on the first step.  She has a pool heater too?  Damn.

My hand is still gripped onto Owen's forearm as I walk further in, until the water is up to my waist.

He hesitantly follows me.

In an instant I tug him down off the steps and next to me, fully immersing him in the water.

I can't help but let out an ugly laugh when he stands up and his hair is sticking to his face.

He shakes his head so that it's no longer sticking, getting water droplets on me.

"What are you? A dog?" I sink myself lower into the water, up to my shoulders.

Without another word he splashes water on me, getting it all over my face.

I start coughing and wipe my face.

"You bitch." I chuckle and splash him with water back.

"You're the one who tugged me into the pool without warning!" He doesn't look very pleased with me.

"Well if there was a warning then it wouldn't be funny." I flash him a grin.

I sink my body under the water and then push my wet hair out my face when I come back to the surface.

Suddenly I feel Owen's hand grab onto my forearm and bring it closer to him.

I freeze.

A crease forms between his eyebrows when he runs his thumb over the bruise on my arm.

"How did this happen?" He looks back to my eyes.

"I banged my arm on the table." I pull my arm out of his grasp.

He looks at me curiously before sinking back down into the water and hesitantly nodding.

A few seconds pass as I continue pushing the hair back and out of my face.

Without even thinking I swim closer to him and use both my hands to push some remaining strands of his hair out of his face.

Glancing to his face I see his gaze set on my lips, then to my boobs.

He snaps out of his daze when I lean back and look at his eyes.

"What's your obsession with my boobs?" He looks shocked at my question.

"What?" He shakes his head in confusion.

I look at him wearily before chuckling and pushing water into his face.

"Well c'mon! Let's do that chicken game!" I shake his shoulders in excitement.

Levina seems to hear what I said from across the pool, "Yes! Luna get on top of Owen's shoulders and I'll get on top of Olive's." Her and Olive begin swimming over to us.

Oh my God, I've always wanted to play this even though I'll probably lose.

"Owen can you like- go under water so I can sit on you." I point to the water.

He is obviously trying to hold back his laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing." He shakes his head and a subtle smile breaks across his face.

He holds his breath and then goes under the water.

I swim around him so that I'm now facing his backside.  Placing my hands on his head I slowly bring one leg on his shoulder and then the other.

Suddenly his hands grab onto my thighs to keep me in place so I don't fall.

My breath hitches.

His hands are very close to there.

I'm holding onto his head for dear life.

When he stands up I'm still latched onto his head, my hands on his face.

"Luna...I can't see." He let's go of one of my thighs and tries to take one of my hands away.

"Oh, sorry!" When I look up I see Levina already on top of Olive.

My cheeks warm at the realization that my hoo-ha is on Owen's neck right now.

I clutch onto his head nervously as his hands grip onto my inner thighs tighter.

All I can focus on is the placement of his hands.

"Okay you guys ready?" Olive's naturally scratchy voice breaks my train of thought.

I see Levina glance over Owen and I, then she winks at me.

Oh my god.

"Okay, ready...set...go!" Levina tries to push me off but I grab onto her arms before I fall.

We both start trying to push each other, except both of us have no muscle, so we both look pathetic.

I begin laughing as I push Levina's shoulders, making her lose her balance and topple over, bringing Olive into the water with her.

"Yes! I won!" I lift my hands in the air, proud of my victory. Owen's grip on my bare thighs tighten, his hands move a little higher. My stomach is doing backflips right now. "Did you see that Owen? We won!" I look down at his face and bring both my hands to his cheeks, squishing them together.

"Good job." His hands slither away from my inner thighs as I fall backwards into the pool.

When I emerge I push my hair back so it's out of my face.

Owen is still facing the other way except standing straight up.

Back muscles.

"You have a really nice back." I say before jumping on him, latching my arms around his neck.

"Uh- thanks?" He furrows his brows.

"Give me a piggy back ride to the other side of the pool, loser." I wrap my legs around his waist and rest my head on his shoulder as I cling to him.

His skin has goosebumps.

"Do I look like a form of transportation?"

"Yes. Now go." I respond flatly as I stretch an arm out and point to the other side of the pool.

He mutters something before lowering himself into the water and swimming to the other side.

I rest my head on his back as he swims, the water hitting me on the face.

Once we reach the other end he shakes his head and water droplets hit me.

"Thanks French boy!" Pushing myself closer to him I grab on this face and turn it to the side so I could kiss his cheek. I like seeing him blush when I do that.

I detach myself and hang onto the side of the pool, turning my head to look at him.

His head is turned away, so I can't see his face.

Reaching my hand out I grab onto his chin and force his face to look at me.

A strong blush is spread across his nose and cheeks.

I smile at him.

"I love when you blush." I like complimenting him, and anyone in general, it's a nice feeling.

His face turns even redder and his eyes get wider.

"Why do you always flirt?" He asks quietly.  His voice is deep and rough, making my mouth dry.

"I'm not flirting, just complimenting my friend." I pat his cheek and then plant both my hands on the side of the pool so I can haul myself out.

Water droplets slide off my body as I lift myself out the pool. I wobbly stand up and then turn back towards Owen.  He is staring right up at me.

"Why are you always staring at me? Creeper." I cross my arms over my chest.

"I'm not staring." Owen mumbles.

"Yeah yeah whatever.  Now c'mon." I bend down and reach my hand out to him.

He looks at my hand, confused.  "Why are we getting out?"

"Because I want to get chips." Looking over to Levina I see her and Olive kissing and laughing.  "Hey Levina! Sorry to interrupt you, but can I have some chips?"

"Uh- yeah in the kitchen pantry.  Take what you want, I don't care." She turns back to Olive and starts throwing water at her.

"C'mon Owen." He sighs before grabbing onto my hand and pulling himself out of the water.

Water droplets cling to his smooth skin.  He runs a hand through his hair, it goes back to looking messy.

Before I could keep ogling at his perfect body I start skipping to the kitchen.

"Stop skipping."

"No can do." I respond as I push open the door to the kitchen.

"Where is the pantry? You've been to Levina's house more than me." I look around as he comes up from behind, placing a hand on my hip to move me out of the way.

I shiver.

I swallow before following him to the other side of the kitchen.  He opens the door to a small room and walks inside, I follow.

"Hold the-" He turns around to face me as the door slams behind us. "Shit."

"What?" I start looking at all the different chip options on the shelves.

Oh my god, she has Wavy Lays!

"The door locks when you close it and can only be opened from the other side." He starts knocking on the door, seeing if Levina could hear him.

"Oh...well, just call Levina." I don't see the big deal.

"I can't, our phones are on the lounge chairs." He looks down at me.

I suck in a sharp breath, just realizing how small this pantry is and how close we are.

His eyes glance down my lips.

"Well...at least we have chips." A weary smile pulls at my lips as I hold up the bag of lays I grabbed from the shelf.

"Yeah.  Chips." He says lowly, not breaking the eye contact.

"Well, I guess we're going to be dying in here then." We are still staring at each other. My voice is a whisper.

"Guess so." He responds lowly.

He glances down to my chest and then back to my eyes. It's kind of dark in here, meaning I can't see well, but I think he is leaning closer to me.

Suddenly the door swings open.

Levina stands there dripping wet in her swimsuit.

"Oh please don't tell me y'all were about to fuck in my pantry." She rubs her temples.

"No." We both say in unison.

She gives us a weary look before snatching a bag of chips off the shelf and backing up, narrowing her eyes at us as she walks away.

When Levina is finally out of view Owen places a hand on my lower back and guides me out of the pantry.

As I look down at my feet I glance over to the side and notice a bulge in Owens pants.

I look away and then quickly look back at it, my eyes widening.

"You got a lil' something goin on with Owen Jr." I meet his gaze as we walk.

He looks at me confused and then flicks his gaze downwards.

"Uh- afternoon wood...?" He scratches the top of his head. "Yeah."

"That's a thing?" I didn't know about that.

"Now it is." He murmurs as we walk back into the indoor pool room.

Levina and Olive are already out of the pool, laying on the same lounge chairs while on their phones.

It's getting late, I should probably get going soon.

Grabbing my towel, I pat myself dry and then put my big t-shirt back on.  I'm reminded of my bruise when I glance down to my arm. I'm glad Owen didn't keep asking about it.

I look over to Owen once I sit down and see him also drying himself. My eyes scan his scattered tattoos.

"Owen?"

"Luna." He responds, not making eye contact.

"Can you tell me what your tattoos mean now?" I really want to know.

His grey eyes stare into mine, he seems unsure of what to say.

"One day, Luna." He continues drying off and then throws on his shirt.

He looks better without a shirt.

There is so much about him that I don't know. His eyes always hold a certain emotion that I can't put my finger on. He just always has a tired look to him.

As music continues to play in the background he takes out his book and picks up reading where he left off.

I continue staring at him, he doesn't seem to notice.

My eyes go to his mouth.

He has very kissable looking lips.
