"Areum," My dad called out, "could you come here for a second?" He asked from the living room. I closed my laptop shut and skipped down the steps, into the living room.

"Yes, pa?" I cocked my head to the side, waiting for him to speak.

"Could you go down to the store and grab us some things?" He asked, sticking out a list that was clasped in his right palm and I sighed.

"Now?" I whined lightly and he chuckled.

"I would love to go but I have to get this done." He pointed at some papers that were spread across the table and I assumed he was talking about his work. "I would've asked Aera-"

"It's alright, lets not bother her." I took the list from his hand.

"That boy still hasn't spoken to her, huh?" He asked darkly.

"Mmhmm," I hummed in agreement, "but I don't blame him." I said and it looked like it caught my father off guard.

"How can you say that?" He said, getting slightly upset.

"She lied, dad. He probably just needs space right now, I know I would've needed it." I said and he simply nodded, not keen on getting deeper into the conversation. "I'll be back in an hour, tops!" I bid him goodbye.

What I said had put my father in a bad mood for some reason but I chose not to let it get to me.

I stuffed the keys into the ignition as I started the engine and drove to the store. I parked my car and got off, reading the grocery list that my dad had and frowned at all the foreign items listed.

"What the heck is Wehani?" I said under my breath as I entered the store, the cool air instantly grazing past my cheeks, sending goosebumps crawling over my skin.

I got a shopping cart and started strolling down the aisles and suddenly the shopping cart jerks, making me trip. I manage to regain my balance but I spat under my breath the moment I realised one of the wheels were busted. It was too wobbly, causing the cart to jerk to a stop every few seconds.

I took in a deep breath, trying to calm myself. "It's okay." I tried convincing myself that every thing was fine as I pushed the cart slowly down the aisles, finding for milk which was the first thing on the list.

Finally, I stop at the aisle full of dairy products and realised that the specific milk my dad had wanted was out of my reach. "It's alright, I can reach that." I tried being optimistic as I tiptoed and reached for the milk.

I used my index finger to pull the milk carton towards me but my finger slips and it drops onto the ground with a splat.

"Seriously?" I hissed under my breath, convinced that the entire universe was conspiring against me at this point. I stared hopelessly at the milk carton, milk seeping out of a hole that had been caused due to the impact of the fall.

"Hey, you okay?" The voice chuckled. I felt an arm on my shoulder and my head instantly swings towards the unidentified male.

"Oh- my gosh." I stuttered a little, face burning red the moment I realised that he could've witnessed my embarrassing accident. "Um, yes, I'm fine. Thanks, Taehyung." I shake my head as I looked back down at the pool of milk that was increasing in size by the second.

"I'll get someone to clear it up." He laughed a little but before he could walk away I spoke out.

"No, it's fine! I'll do it." I said and he simply shook his head, walking away to find the staff. I stood there, nibbling on the insides of my cheek as embarrassment washed over me.

"Right there." Taehyung appeared with a member of the staff as he pointed towards my direction. The staff sighs lightly, shaking his head the moment lays eyes on the mess.

"I'm so sorry, I'll go pay for it." I apologised but the staff ignored me, mopping the puddle of milk.

"It's okay, I already did." Taehyung said, a smile playing on his lips.

"Oh, you didn't have to." I said and he waves it off with his hand.

"It's fine," and he approached the shelf of milk, "here." He grabbed the milk from the top shelf with ease and handed it to me.

I averted my gaze, eyes fixated onto the ground, not daring to meet his eyes as I took the milk carton from his hand. "Thanks." I peeped, pressing my lips into a straight line as I tried hiding my embarrassment.

I pushed against the shopping cart and it jerked once more, causing me to stumble a little. His hand instantly reached out as he supported my back. "Be careful." He said, a wide smile painted over his lips. I could tell he was fighting a laugh.

"I'm glad you find all of this funny." I said and he shook his head, trying to deny it.

"Alright, I'm sorry. Here." He motioned for me to move away and with a frown, I did. He placed his basket in the shopping cart as he took my place, wrapping his fingers around the handle as he began pushing my cart.

"You don't have to." I said, shadowing him.

"It's fine, you're a mess." He passed me a glance as he chuckled. I simply clicked my tongue as I shoved him lightly.

"Anyway, what are you doing here?" I asked and he pointed at the basket in the cart.

"Grocery shopping." He stated, his eyes focused on the shopping cart. It jerked but, having the strength to move along with it, he continued pushing it forward looking the least bit affected.

Taehyung noticed the grocery list in the shopping cart and fished it up, "a grocery list?" He looked at me with an amused expression. His lips tugged upwards, forming a squarish smile.

"Yea, what's wrong?" I asked, my smile mirroring his unknowingly.

"Just a little old school." He said and continued pushing my cart. He took a can of beans and placed it in, along with the milk.

"Milk and beans, check!" He chimed, passing me the grocery list. "What's next?" He asked and I stared at him for a second, digesting the fact that he was going grocery shopping with me.

"Oh, um Wehani? What the heck is that?" I turned to him and he laughed.

"It's Wehani." He corrected my pronunciation with a chuckle, "and it's a type of rice." He said, pointing towards the packet of rice that was in front of us. I simply nod as I go forward to carry it, but he beats me to it, taking the packet in his hands and placed it in the cart.

"Thanks." I smiled as he continued pushing the cart. There was a little awkward tension between the both of us, mainly because we barely knew each other.

"So," He finally spoke out, breaking the awkward silence between us, "Pet Sematary, huh?" He nodded with approval and I instantly halted.

"Wait, you know?" I asked a little anxiously. Aera was under the impression that he didn't know.

"Mmhmm," He simply hummed. "I put the pieces together and figured out that the book was probably yours." He said, still looking forward.

I only nod, not knowing what else to say to him.

"Funny how things would've been so different if you were at the library that day instead." He says and I freeze.
