"Have you tried calling her?" I asked, getting the both of us drinks from the kitchen.

"Yea, like 10 times." He sighed, melting into the couch, "forget it. That just gives us a reason to continue Gone with the Wind." He said, reaching for the remote. "It's still in right?" He asked, referring to the movie as I brought him a glass of mango juice.

"Yep," I said as I sat on the other side of the couch, the conversation I had with Nani replaying in my mind like a broken record.

I sipped onto my juice as I stared at the ground, drowning in the wave of thoughts that flooded me. Out of nowhere, I feel a hand on my shoulder and jumped.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Taehyung said quickly, sitting himself next to me. "Are you okay? I've been speaking to you for a good five minutes and you've not responded." He asked, bending forward, trying to get me to meet his gaze.

"Yea, I'm fine." I shook my head, as I looked to the television. I noticed that he had paused the movie. "Why'd you pause it?"

"You seemed a little distracted." He said, shifting his body so that he'd face me.

"I'm sorry." I exhaled, massaging my temples.

"It's okay." He assured, "you want to talk about it?" Taehyung asked in the softest tone and I felt warm. Maybe what Nani said did have some truth to it.

Taehyung paid attention to the littlest details, something Jaesun has never done.

I frowned a little, thinking if I should open up to him. "Is it about Jaesun?" He prompted.

"I guess?" I looked to my hands, not daring to meet his gaze. "It's fine, I don't want to talk about it." I came to a decision and he remained silent. Before the silence could become unbearable, he spoke out. "This is the fourth time, this month, Aera bailed on a date," he lets out with a bitter chuckle.

"She does this often, huh?" I asked and he nods, "you'd be surprised." He says, passing me a quick glance, a shy smile playing on his lips. "I probably shouldn't be discussing my relationship with my girlfriend's sister." Taehyung choked up on his laughter as he shook his head.

"It's fine." I tapped his shoulder lightly, turning my body to face him. "You can say whatever you want and I promise to keep it to myself. Someone needs to listen to you." I smiled as I crossed my legs, preparing myself for Taehyung to spill but instead he looked at me with a look that sent goosebumps prickling all over my skin.

It was almost as though he had never heard those words before, breaking the moment he felt the slightest bit of care being directed towards him.

He leans in and my breath gets caught in my throat. I feel his arms wrapped around my waist as he pulled me into his embrace. My eyes widened the moment I feel him burying his face into the crook of my neck, "you're too good." He murmured, tightening his grip around me.

My body remained frozen as I feel his body against mine, not knowing what to do. I felt my thoughts screaming at me but yet I could hear nothing, the only thing in my mind was the sound of his shallow breaths against my neck.

I gulped as I feel him pull away and I finally exhale, not even realising that I was holding my breath in the first place. I feel his cheek glide past my face as he moved away. He rested his forehead on mine as he brushed his nose against mine.

His brown orbs stared deep into me and I feel something pool up within me, my brain still in a state of surging perplexity. I felt my insides churn the moment I feel his hot breath against my lips. "You're too good for him." He whispered, sending chills down my spine.

The next instant, I hear the sound of keys jingling and I instantly pulled away, finally snapping out of my thoughts. Aera enters with shopping bags hanging from her hands. "Babe, I'm so sorry. I had my phone on airplane mode the entire day and just received all the notifications." Aera began rambling the moment she laid her eyes on Taehyung.

He cleared his throat, sinking back into the couch as he went through his hair with his fingers. He kept quiet as she bombarded him with excuses.

"So are you ready to go?" She asked the moment she was finished with her lengthy excuse. He simply nodded as she dragged him towards the door. The moment he reached the door, he glanced back at me.

I held his gaze as he simply stared. I couldn't read him nor could I understand what had just happened. The moment I hear the door close, I pulled my knees to my chest, nibbling against my bottom lip as my thoughts crashed against me once again.

Why would he say that?

I scratched at my phone's casing, thinking if I should do what I thought of. For some reason there was a sense of guilt building up in me.

I couldn't wrap my head around the feeling I felt, the rush that was sent through my veins the moment he touched my waist, pulling me closer with such urgency. Almost like he needed me, my touch.

I could feel the adrenaline course through my body, feeling something I've never felt before.

I unlocked my phone and punched in the numbers, "could you come over?"
