I washed my face after I brushed my teeth. My feet are aching because of those heels that a prick got me. I can't believe he left me like that.

Urgh!!! I want to kill him. Throw a knife in his stone cold heart wait he doesn't have a heart. I want strangle him until he is blue then we see then.

I walked out of my bathroom and walked into my bedroom, I'm going in late today I don't care if he shouts or whatever he took me to that party last night which obviously made me tired and I need extra sleep.

I put on a white tank top on and black jeans I slipped on my wedges I left my hair all out and put on a small cardi on. I picked up my bag and walked out of the house.

I walked into the building with a massive grin on my face, I swiped my pass and walked in the elevator I pressed the button for the last floor then it went up with a bunch of people in it.

The elevator stopped and pinged we were at my floor I walked out of the elevator and walked to the office doors I pulled the door open and walked in.

I walked over to his closet and put my bag in there if he has got one I should have one too. I walked to his office door it was locked then I walked towards the massive window that was also in front of the hallway and my office.

I pressed my hands on the window and my face I looked in the window.

"He won't be coming in today " Someone said behind me "I'm here to cover "

I jumped and turned around I kicked the person knee. He crouched down to his knee and rubbed it "He didn't warn me about you "

"Who are you?"

"I'm Cody "He said as he got up "Covering for my brother "

He had brown hair in a quiff, piercing blue eyes, his jawline was sharp and he had sharp features just like Max but they didn't look alike.

"I'm River "I said as I eyed him hens pretty fit he was in a black shirt and black suit trousers "Oddly you don't look like max I thought I'd he had siblings they would be stone cold like him and have a stone face "

He let out a chuckle his hand went through his hair "Yeah well not that much people are big fans of Max "

"So why isn't Max here then?"

"He had a flight to California for a massive meeting he'll be here for tomorrow don't worry "He replied "Should we start working then?"

I nodded "But I need to tell him something about the work he set me to do yesterday "

"Did the dry cleaners burn his clothes?"Cody said with a sigh "Or shrieked his beloved suits?"

"I'll give his number "Cody said "I don't want to tell him "

I nodded and he gave his number he wrote it on a post it note which was on my desk then he left and walked into his own office.

I quickly got my bag out the closet and got my phone out.

He doesn't know what is going to hit him.

I put my phone down and my stomach started to growl I looked at the clock it was already twelve. I walked towards his office door and knocked on the door  he yelled come in I opened the door and walked I would never knock the door for Max at all.

"Hey are you hungry?"I asked "I'm and I might go to the Chinese place a couple blocks away wanna some or wanna come?"

He looked up from his papers and smiled "Yeah I would really "He replied "I don't understand a word of this "

"Let's go!"

He put on his suit jacket I got my bag and it hung of my shoulder we left the building and walked together just chatting as we walked.

We got our Chinese food and ate it on our way back to the building and we were talking and laughing.

We walked back into the building and on the floor.

"You are so much better then Max!"I said as I sat down on the chair in his office I thought I would help him with the work "No way he would come with me"

"Well max is max "

"Can't you take over the company?"

"No my dad trusts Max With things like this "He replied "And it isn't for me "

"Well you are my favourite out of your siblings "

"You haven't even met my others "

"Don't need to!"

So I found out Max has three other siblings I grinned so much when Cody told me and he told me a few more things about Max.
