"Oh, God!" Willow screeched as she tried steading herself on her elbows in a half handstand. Her back leaned against the headboard and her legs wrapped around Legolas who stood in front ramming hard into her.

She'd loudly proclaimed that day, 'Fuck gentle, no mercy, no quarter, I want it hard'. As it is his duty to please his lady-wife, he did as he was told.

She moaned loudly, clenching her thighs tightly as she reached the zenith of her orgasm. He gripped her thighs, with a guttural groan, he released his seed inside her. He eased her down to the bed. He watched her breathing hard, sweat coating her almond-colored skin. He wanted to lick it off and start their lovemaking all over again. He reached over to squeeze her chocolate tipped nipples. She slapped his hand away.

"Let me catch my fucking breath," She panted.

He laughed softly, "Your stamina is improving. In a few months, we'll be able to go for a few days, like we did the first time."

Willow whipped her head in his direction with wide disbelieving eyes, "You must be out of your mind. The first time was a fluke. I was still coming off a power trip and I had extra energy to spare. You're lucky I didn't barbeque your ass after that stunt you pulled. It's hard enough not turning everything in here to ash when I bust a nut. I still can't get the soot off from last time."

He kissed her temple and let his hand slide across the small rounding of her belly. "I still don't know what you mean half the time with the things you say. From what I understood, you still have a hard time controlling yourself when we are in the throes of passion."

"Yeah, that's one way of putting it," She nodded in agreement caressing his hand that lay across her.

"Shush," he said quickly sitting up and focusing his attention on something.

"Boy you did not just fucking shush me," she said sitting up to smack his shoulder.

"Please, Willow, the sound is faint I need to focus," She folded her arms and flopped herself back on the bed, grudgingly laying in silence.

He heard it, a gentle fluttering that might be mistaken for hummingbirds' wings.  He could hear the baby's heart at last. He'd never said to anyone, but he looked forward to the moment he could make his own connection to the life growing within her. Although Willow was several weeks along, there was hardly any show, but the child was big enough that he could hear her heartbeat in a quiet room.

He let out his breath in a burst. He wore a smile so wide, Willow looked on him curiously. "What's going on?" She asked.

"The baby, I can hear her heartbeat," he said excitedly.

"Really!" Willow said in surprise sitting up. Legolas placed his hands against her stomach, rubbing in slow circles.

"I will never let anything happen to you, I love you and your mother more than life itself," he kissed her abdomen.

"We love you too, baby" Willow kissed him deeply. She gave a gentle tuck to his flaxen mane, as a reminder of things to come before turning over. "Now that I've had my daily work out, I think I'll go to bed."

She patted her stomach gently, "At least we don't need an Ultrasound to know you're ok in there. Daddy-daycare over there has you covered."

Legolas chuckled. He knew he'd get a ribbing from Aragorn and Gimli about how loud Willow was in bed. He'd negotiated a chamber on the far side of the castle where her sound did not carry as far.

He made love to his wife as often as possible, and he naturally assumed over time they would grow tired of the banter. Unfortunately, his reaction to open discussion about sex was always awkward, which made for more sport for Gimli and Aragorn. He rolled his eyes before settling in behind Willow. He pulled in close basking in her warmth, wrapping his arm around her waist and nuzzling her hair.

He awoke to a fully dressed Willow, radiant and happy. Pregnancy suited her, although that wasn't a thing, he'd readily tell her. She'd already launched several complaints about gaining weight. He didn't know how to express the joy he felt as he watched her grow big with his child. He was sure she'd look beautiful no matter her size.

"Get up, lazy bones," She playfully pulled the blankets away from him. "That's a first, me waking up before you. Maybe pregnancy sleep is catching." She laughed as he pulled her down to him, firing off a rapid succession of quick kisses.

"We're heading to the forest today to tend the trees. Gimli is going with us; we'll be late if we don't get a move on."

"I don't like that you're coming along," his voice was stern. He released the embrace and sitting away from her.

"Psshh...Stop your complaining. I told you the trees and I are cool. I've been helping them, some of them are sick so I heal them. They need me, not just someone to talk to."

He glared at her before hopping off the bed to get dressed.

"You know I would feel better with an ax for protection, a sword just really doesn't suit," Gimli said clutching the weapon, feeling the menacing aura of the trees around him. He was sure if left alone he might not make it out of the forest alive. Those trees hated him.

"An ax would cause offense in this place, Gimli, so stop your grousing," Legolas warned before deftly leaping on to a tree and scurrying up its branches.

"What's his knickers in a knot?" Gimli asked turning to Willow as they strolled.

"He still doesn't want me to be in this forest. He thinks I'm in danger here," she said dismissively.

Gimli stroked his beard as he considered her words. They stopped walking, "He's not wrong. On the far side of the barrier, in the city, you are safe. You are protected from Morgoth's obsession and the child from harm. Here wandering around the trees where the orcs are, you are exposed. You are vulnerable. More importantly, so is the bairn," He emphasized by pointing at her barely-there stomach.

"I am just sick of being some damsel in distress. I can protect myself you know and him too."

"Aye, that you are, fierce and powerful. I would not have you forget that you are his wife carrying his child. Have you tried to see it from his perspective? He wants to keep you safe. As long as, Morgoth wants you none of you are."

Willow cleared her throat uncomfortably and continued to walk through the forest. Gimli was right. She would never admit it. Her stubborn pride wouldn't allow it, but he was. She took unnecessary chances. She could leave the tending to Legolas. He's an elf and as they knew it a Maiar. She did not want to be his burden, constantly needing for him to save her. She wanted to side beside him in the fight, not behind him cowering in fear. She just wished everyone would stop treating her pregnancy as a handicap.
