"I hope I made you feel something because you made me feel everything."

Unedited*****

Viransh's smile became tender as his cognac glares drank in Avni's appearance illuminated by the moonlight streaming through the large window of his office. His eyes flitted down to her lips before returning to her dark irises, which seemed to swirl as she stared back at him. He could feel her heart thumping against her ribcage so loudly as her body pressed to his hard chest.

The smile on his face slowly slipped as his face turned pensive, and he studied Avni's eyes widening as his mouth drew closer to hers.

"Avni," he whispered, his warm breath caressing her lips while his gaze moved between them and her eyes. He dipped his head lower until barely a hair's breadth between their lips.

Avni closed her eyes, anticipating feeling the touch of his lips on hers. Her breathing hitched as she felt his lips whisper against her earlobe, "You're drunk."

She opened her eyes and sought his. She noticed his amber eyes with a dark, sensual haze flitting in them as they battled for breath and control.

Avni's face flushed with mortification as Viransh cocked his eyebrow at her, the emotions in his eyes finally disappearing behind his usual shutter as he stared down at her. She groaned before sagging against his hard chest.

"You stupid man," she mumbled against his chest, inhaling the irresistible smell of his cologne that sent her mind into another state of intoxication. "Did you just reject the offer to kiss me?"

"You're drunk," he said again while gently placing his hands on her shoulder and pulling her away. Tipping her chin, he took note of her flustered feature. Her dilated pupils, her slurred voice, and the half-filled bottle on the couch were enough to imply she was drunk. Besides, sober Avni would rather kick his balls than ask him for a hug and kiss.

"Does that matter?" Avni quipped, her eyebrows dipping down into a frown.

"Of course it does."

"I feel embarrassed. You don't want to kiss me."

"Right now, all I want is to press my lips against yours into a feverish kiss." He murmured, his lips grazing the outer shell of her ear, his breath warm and feather-like against her skin. "But I want you to be fully sober when our lips sync so you can feel our tongue translating the ballad of our hearts. I want you to feel the world stopping for the briefest of time, and I want you to feel every inch of your soul screaming for more."

Brushing a strand of her dark locks behind the ears, he whispered, his husky voice sending chills down her spine. "I want to kiss you senselessly until the only name you will ever taste would be mine."

Avni opened her eyes, peeking at his face. Even in her hazy state, she didn't miss the flicker of numerous emotions dashing in his eyes before a raw intensity settled in them. No words came out of her mouth as she kept staring at him.

Viransh grinned before stroking her lower lips with this thumb. Before she could say anything, he leaned in and kissed the corner of her mouth, and his arms snaked around her waist before she fell owing to her imbalanced drunk state.

Viransh frowned in confusion as he felt her jabbing a finger into his chest. "You!"

"Me?" He asked, arching his perfect brows at her behavior.

"Urgh!" She wrinkled her nose and squashed her head against his chest, murmuring under her breath, "You sound so sexy right now."

Viransh sighed before gently pulling her away. "How much drink did you have before coming here?"

"Only teensy bit," Avni said, squinting one eye at the area she indicated between her forefinger and the thumb, her face scrunching up at the slight blurriness. She instantly gulped visibility at the glimpse of Viransh's stern face as she brought her right hand forward, counting her fingers as if trying to remember the exact number. "One, two, five, six..." A frown etched on her feature, and her eyes widened as she stared at her hand horridly. "Oops, I only have five fingers. Where are my other fingers?"

Her red bloodshot eyes became teary as she glanced at Viransh, showing her hand. "Did you steal them? I had ten fingers before I came here."

Air pushed off of his chest before he grabbed her other hand, which she somehow plowed in the pocket of her pants. "One hand consists of four fingers and one thumb, but we usually count it under fingers. That concludes we have five fingers in each hand."

Viransh took hold of her hands. Gesturing towards her right hand, he said softly, "Here are your first five fingers." Placing it down, he gestured towards her other hand, "And here your other five fingers. So you have ten fingers now."

Avni's mouth formed in an 'O' shape as she stared down at her hands, trying to comprehend what he said. "I have ten fingers." She repeated it continuously, her face splitting into a huge grin. "You didn't steal them."

What I am- a finger stealer?

"No! Why would I?"

Viransh offered her an awkward smile while raking his hand on his hair, messing it up. Suddenly he felt her fingers softly stroking them and brushing the strand of hair that unknowingly fell on his forehead.

"I wanted to do this since my eyes fell on your hair." Puckering her lips, she sent an accusing stare at Viransh, who had bewilderment drawn on his face, still stunned by her words. "I am so jealous of your hair."

"You are jealous of my hair?"

She nodded, and her hand made its way back to his hair again. "Gosh, you are so tall." She huffed before tip-toeing only to stumble sideways, but Viransh steadied her, placing his large hands on her waist. He chuckled, remembering she wasn't wearing any heels like usual. Instead, she was solely in a pair of fuzzy socks. Muttering a small thank you, she rambled, "It's so soft. So silky. Umm, so black. Which shampoo brand do you use?"

"I--" Viransh struggled to find the right words, a hue of pink twinge creeping on his cheeks didn't go unnoticed by Avni.

She smiled mischievously, her eyes sparkling in a hint of tease and awe as she squeezed his cheeks, "You're so cute."

Laughter gurgled from her throat when Viransh looked at her, a horrified expression marring his face.

Viransh broke out of his reverie when he saw her laughing. The corner of her eyes crinkled, and she looked ever so carefree. Her laughter was contagious, and he couldn't help but smile as he held her in his arm, stemming her from stumbling again. "It feels good when you don't snap at me every five minutes."

Avni narrowed her eyes at him, sending him a half-hearted glare and burrowing her face in his chest again. She immediately pulled away, startling Viransh yet again. She pressed her palm against his chest and then patted it with her hands, feeling the hard-muscled body beneath her palm.

"Woww. You are like a stone statue, rock hard." Avni slurred and offered him an impressive smile before querying, "Do you work out?"

"Yes, I do." He nodded, his lips twitched in a smirk.

"You know, I work out too."

"That's...great!"

"You don't look convinced. Wait, let me show you my figure." Viransh's smirk dropped, and his lips pursed into a thin line when Avni took a small step backward with a big grin on her face.

"No, It's not like-" Panic jolted down his body as Avni unbuttoned her shirt. Before she could unfasten the fourth button, he scrambled toward her and took hold of her hands, stopping her from disrobing in front of him. She tried to pull her hands from his tight grip, but he gave her a stern look which seemed to work on her as she quickly let her hands fall on her side and squinted at him.

Viransh's throat bobbed, his eyes darkening at the whiff of her exposed chest peeking out of her satin shirt. He fell quiet, jaw tightened and eyes hooded as he realized she didn't have a bra underneath the sheer linen.

Avni took a step back with her wobbly legs as Viransh silently paced toward her, like a predator striding to his prey. Her cheeks continued to burn hot, her heart thumping faster than its usual pace as her back hit the wall, and Viransh's figure lurked mere few steps away from her. Squinting her eyes between her shirt and him, she fumbled with the buttons, trying to fasten them and failing miserably.

A shudder ran down her spine as Viransh's warm hands reached hers. Swiftly he pulled her hands away from the shirt, causing them to fall on either side.

Viransh leaned closer to her. The light in his eyes dimmed as she squeezed her eyes shut in embarrassment. He kept gazing at her face with hooded eyes and an inscrutable expression. His attention drifted to her half-opened chest, raw passion dancing in his pupils before he swallowed hard and took hold of her shirt.

Avni opened her eyes as she got aware of his hands down on her cloth, fastening the buttons. Once done, his arm pressed against her, and she gasped at their sudden intimacy. She felt her nipples hardening beneath the flimsy material of the shirt, and with their proximity, she was sure he could sense her stiff tits. His arms instantly tightened around her, and she felt the undeniable press of his interest against her stomach. Even in her flustered and hazy state, she could vaguely feel the heat pooling in his eyes as he watched her gulping at the realization that he was attracted to her in that way.

She bit her lower lip and chewed on the inside of her cheek before puckering her lips slightly, privileging him to kiss her. Her breathing labored, sensing his warm breath caressing his lips, and she flushed at his distinctive raspy voice, "I'll kiss you when you least expect it, and it will be epic."

She groaned when he pulled away from her, his words still unclear to her murky state. Huffing, she leaned toward him, grabbing his face, trying to kiss him forcibly.

Viransh took hold of her shoulder, pulling her away from him as she tried to kiss him. He desired to kiss her, but he was very well aware of her drunkard state and how a simple kiss could lead to something more as he was already at the peak of lust. He could feel himself hardening at her mere sight, and he surely did need a cold shower.

If I kissed her, I don't think I'd be able to stop.

Viransh's arm around her loosened when she stopped defying to break off his hold. She was tired and weary, and her eyelids were drooping down.

"Come on, let's get you on the couch. I don't think you'll last longer on your feet." Placing his hands under her knees, he swept her up in his arms and carried her to the couch.

Avni kept her mouth shut as her hands curled around his neck and her head buried in his shoulder gave her an unusual sense of satisfaction. She sighed in dismay when he placed her on the couch.

Viransh strolled toward the table extended along with the long, plush sofa and poured a glass of water. He reached toward Avni and offered the glass of water, who blinked her eyes at him. Taking a deep, calm breath, he sat next to her and raised it towards her mouth, urging her to drink.

Her dilated dark pupils darted between his face and the glass before she took slow sips of water. He watched her in amazement when she downed the last of her water. A drop of water escaped other lips, running down her chin, which he unhurriedly brushed away with his thumb.

"Don't tell me you drink away your problems." He remarked.

"Oh, I do that..." Avni giggled, scooting closer to him. "But don't tell anyone, okay?"

"Okay." Viransh nodded while pleating a strand of hair away behind her ear. "Why are you drunk?"

"Did I tell mention you look hot in a white shirt?" Viransh's jaw dropped down in disbelief at her words. A burst of laughter erupted from her throat at his aghast expression. "You wanna know a secret? I was ogling you while playing the game. You looked so alluring in white that I almost lost track of the game. And I guess I like-no love your eyes."

He couldn't help but smile, thoroughly thrilled by her confession. "You are that drunk, huh?"

"Why are you getting blurred?" Avni fisted her hand and rubbed them against her eyes, trying to facilitate the blurriness, but that didn't work, so she slumped back in his chest, snuggling closer to Viransh, drawn to the warmth and protection of his body.

"You're just drunk," Viransh said, and she could hear the smile in his voice. "Alcohol won't solve your problem."

"Neither will milk," Avni said as her eyes drifted close, feeling his fingers comb through her downy hair gently.

The last thing she remembered was his lips brushing her cheek and him whispering, "I love your eyes too."

Avni woke up the next day feeling a little disoriented and with her head throbbing against her skull. Rubbing her forehead, she found herself in the luxurious room, which flowed with the light emitting from the large window.

She stretched in bed, the agony of her throbbing head registering without delay. She groaned out loud and held her breath until her gaze drifted to the side table, and she found a glass of water with a few pills and a small note.

Rise and Shine, darling :)

The hangover can be a bitch.

Take the painkillers. It will help to relieve your headache.

P.S. I'll be waiting for you to barge into my office ;)

Instead of crumbling the paper and throwing it into the corner of the room, Avni silently traced the note penned in his neat handwriting. She placed the sticky note down and popped the pill in her mouth, taking a swig of water, disregarding the warning label to eat before taking them.

Every memory from last night flashed in front of her eyes vaguely. First, accusing him of stealing fingers, being jealous of his hair, and unbuttoning her shirt in front of him. The memories from last night were vivid in her mind, each one flashing behind her closed eyes in immaculate series with the rest. She recalled asking him for a kiss, and her eyes widened at the remembrance of drifting to sleep in his arms.

God knows what he thinks of me right now.

Avni facepalmed herself as she laid down on her back again, clearly embarrassed by herself. She regretted taking a glass of wine before going to sleep. And here she thought, she had her drinking addiction under control. On top of that, she barged into Viransh's study room in the middle of the night, drunk. The flash of his body leaning closer and almost kissing her swirled in her mind.

Did he kiss me?

Did something more happen than a kiss?

Avni scrutinized her clothes. "I still have my clothes on." Her inner mind calmed, conceding nothing might have happened more than a kiss, but the smell of cologne lingered on her and left her wondering what happened last night exactly. She didn't recall all the words, but she recollected a few vivid words, some said by her. No wonder her head felt fuzzy. The more she thought about last night, the more pain seemed to flare, so she decided not to dwell on his actions at the moment.

After mentally cursing herself for being reckless last night, she got out of bed.

He can think whatever the fuck he wants. It's not like I care, and it's not like I'll see him after tomorrow.

After getting ready, she called room service for breakfast. She peered out of the window while having a cup of coffee. The weather was warm, and there weren't any traces of rain that made her wonder if it was raining last night or not. She was too drunk to remember that, and she groaned as the memory of the previous night unfolded. Placing the empty cup on the side table, she decided to go and talk with Viransh or get a confirmation that nothing happened last night.

Carrying the cell phone in her jeans pocket, she walked through the narrow hallway. She opened up Viransh's office door and barged in unannounced, only to get her breath knocked off her at the sight of Viransh.

She couldn't take her eyes off the faint scruffiness of his jaw and the line of his throat. She sucked in a breath when she realized that Viransh didn't have any shirt on his muscular physique, his shirtless frame showing off the ridges of his collarbone, and the broadness of his chest and shoulders.

"Good Morning, darling." Viransh greeted her, his voice husky, a lopsided grin etching his lips.

Avni's throat went dry when she noticed Viransh somehow stood close to her. She was this close to touching him again like the way she almost did last night in her hazy state. "Um, morning."

"How do you feel?"

"Good." Avni began. "I wanted to discuss something with you." Her eyes flickered for the briefest moment towards his flexed arms as he folded them against his chest, his eyes boring into hers, giving her undivided attention. "Are you going to put a shirt on or something?"

He raised a brow at her. "Why?"

"I'd rather you're fully clothed when we have the discussion." She retorted, swallowing a lump in her throat.

"Why? Am I distracting you?" Viransh arched his eyebrows at her, his eyes gleaming in tease and narrowing in a slit as he muttered, "Or my stone statue, the rock-hard body is diverting your mind?"

"Oh, please." Viransh's words seemed to hit a chord something in her memory. She felt flustered. Shaking her head, she gave him a stink eye as she bit her lip, unwavering. "I have seen better."

Liar.

Amusement flickered in his eyes as he threw his head back, laughter rumbling out of his throat. "Really?" At her constant glares, he stopped laughing and sobered up before chuckling, "Okay, if this scene isn't distracting for you, then I might as well stay shirtless."

"Fine. Stand there shirtless all you like." Avni shrugged, offering him a gracious smile.

"What would you like to know?" He asked, his warm stares sending a dizzying rush down her body, but she shook her head, determined not to let his fleeting intimacies succeed in making her quiver.

"I know that I was kind of slightly drunk last night. Okay, not slightly, but at least drunk." She refused to let her gaze waver from him, refusing to stand down. A low sigh escaped her mouth, running a hand through her hair, asking him, "Anyways, how much did I drink?"

"I have no idea. I tried to ask you. You started recalling, but your fingers got stolen in the middle. Don't worry, I found them for you."

She screwed her eyes shut, and a blurry memory of her giving him accusing stares and teary eyes lingered at the back of her mind.

"Fuck." Hiding her face in her hand, she groaned audibly, embarrassment creeping over her.

Viransh laughed softly before remembering one of the episodes from last night, "You also declared your profound jealousy with my hair."

Avni's head instantly whipped at him, a nervous laugh escaping her mouth, "I am not jealous of your hair. I mean, why? Why would I be jealous of your hair." She rambled on until Viransh placed his hands on her shoulder.

"Sure, I believe you." His tone mocking, a familiar glint of tease resurfacing in his eyes.

"Oh god." She buried her face in her hands again, not having the courage to look at him. All she wanted was the ground to open up and swallow her, saving her from embarrassment in front of him.

"You are a cute drunk but also a wild one too." He added, a faint smile stretching on his lips while she took in her flushed face.

Her face turned unreadable at the blurry memory of her acting reckless as she looked up at
