'well we kinda wanna be alone, if you know what I mean.'

The air was cool, the crisp breeze sent goosebumps down my skin as the Jeep drove, my window rolled down ever so slightly to help with the stuffy air inside the car. My eyes wandered over to the boy in the passenger seat, his own orbs concentrated deeply in the rode as I watched him. His side profile was rather attractive, his jawline sharp, his nose was unique but fit him perfectly and the way his long eyelashes seemed wispy as he blinked.

It was weird for me, feeling so entranced by my best friend but I think it was because I hardly ever got to see him from this view. I had been mentally connecting the moles that scattered his pale face and having a debate internally about asking him to draw on them with pen.

If it wasn't already obvious, Stiles had driven me to school this morning, early mornings had never been something that appealed to me but still I was waking up at stupid hours to attend hell. The choice had been made by the boy himself, his instance forcing me to ride with him and the annoyance I had been faced with ever since. We were walking up the school, our footsteps almost in perfect sync when we were suddenly met with a very sweaty and anxious looking Scott.

No words were spoken before he began to tell us about the dream he had experienced last night. His voice stuttering and his throat seemingly sore as he spoke, a look of sympathy crossing my face as I watched his eyes glass over slightly and the way his hands shook subtly.  Great another thing to add to our list of problems. Seriously like can't we catch a break.

"So you killed her?" Asked Stiles and I hit the back of his head for being so inconsiderate, the boy had never been the best in emotional situations and it really showed.

"I don't know, I woke up. I was all sweating and breathing heavy, it was weird. I've never had a dream like that before." Scott said with his voice still stuttering and his tone was now quieter careful not to attract any unwanted attention from the other nosy teenagers walking the halls.

"I have, usually ends a little differently though." Stiles said with a laugh and I grimaced, my eyebrows scrunching as well as my nose and my mouth letting out a fake gagging sound making a small chuckle leave the werewolves mouth.

"I don't want to hear about your sex dreams Stiles, unless they're about me then I definitely want to hear them." I said, quickly turning my gaze to the pale boy and teasing him, his eyes seemingly widening at my comment.

"All his dreams are about- " started Scott but was quickly cut off by Stiles slapping the palm of hand over his mouth. Scott quickly pushed his hand away, his mouth opening once more to speak. "I meant a) I have never had a dream that felt that real before and b) never give me that much detail about you in bed ever again." Scott said looking disgusted.

"Noted" said Stiles in an obviously sarcastic tone before continuing "Let me take a guess here though-"

Scott held his hand up to Stiles signalling for him to stop, the boy already knowing what he was about to say as he sighed. He dropped his palm back to his side, his gaze hitting the floor in a sense of sadness before he began to speak.

"No I already know what you're going to say. You think it has something to do with me going out with Alison tomorrow, you think I'm going to lose control and rip her throat out or something." He stated, the other boy seemingly shocked that he had said that, that only showed he was right.

"No that's not –." Stiles started, his head shaking in denial before he let out a groan. "Actually yes thats totally it."

"Wow it seems that Scotty is also a mind reader now." I said jokingly to the two boys who just ignored me, my body in between the two as we began to walk through the hallways, swerving our way through the sea of students that were beginning to filter in.

"Hey Scott come on.It's going to be fine I think you're handling this becoming a teenage werewolf thing pretty damn well." Stiles said trying to comfort him to which I nodded in agreement, it was true, so much had changed in such little time and we were all still alive which seemed like an achievement in itself.

"Yeah I mean it's not like there's a lycanthropy beginners class you can take or anything." Stiles said clearly trying to lighten up the mood, a smile clad on his face as he spoke but it quickly dropped as the wolf was quick to reply.

"Yeah not a class but maybe a person." said Scott and we both knew exactly who he meant. Derek. The man who more than likely wanted to murder us just like he supposedly murdered that girl.

"Yeah, bad idea Scott we kind of got his ass tossed in jail so I wouldn't think he would want to help us in fact I think he might want to kill us." I told him to which Stiles agreed, I winced slightly as I thought about he could rip out our throats, with his teeth that were as sharp as razor blades.

"I know that guys! But dragging her to the back of the bus it felt so real." Scott said now wearing his sorrow expression once again, he was exasperated, the thought of him hurting an innocent person and in particular the girl he liked sent a sickly feeling into the pit of him stomach.

"How real?" The mole covered boy asked as we pushed open the green doors, a slight creak sounding in the air as they did and our eyes setting on the outside of the school, ready to cross the campus to our next class.

"Like it actually happened." The beta replied, our heads turning to see a crime scene, yellow tape wrapped all around, radios blaring from the belts of deputies that were littered everywhere and our eyes widened with our mouths falling agape. This was basically Scott's worst nightmare coming true.

"I think it did." I spoke, the words rolling from my tongue before I realised and I gulped trying to process the fact that my best friend might have murdered someone, the thought of him tearing Allison apart sickened me.

"Well this is not good."

~~~
We were walking frantically, our feet walking as fast as possible through and our eyes trailing each face that passed us. Scott was walking up and down, his pace faster than both of ours down the halls looking for the brunette girl but she was nowhere to be found. He kept glancing at his phone screen, the worry shown on the boy was rather evident and I could practically sense it. He was hoping, hoping that maybe she would text him letting him know she's ok.
"She's not answering my texts!" Scott said shaking his head. Poor Scott he thinks he's murdered his possible first love and maybe he has. I didn't want to believe the horrible thought but everything was pointing in that direction.
"Scott everything is going to be fine, calm down, me and Stiles will help you find her, right Stiles." I said trying to calm him down, my tone trying to be comforting but sounded more sarcastic than anything.
"Yeah Scott, calm down." The boy told him, the wolf was hyperventilating to the pint I was cared he would have an asthma attack.
We kept looking everywhere, I checked the girls bathrooms, my eyes glancing once over in the mirror at myself and the locker rooms that were empty but she was nowhere to be found and I was freaking out. Our feet were casing a squeaking sound against the freshly mopped floor, our shoes skidding as we turned the corner only for Scott to bump into the one person we had been searching for. Allison Argent. And she was completely fine.
"You're okay." Said Scott exasperated, he was now grinning like a puppy and his eyes didn't leave her rather confused face as he tightly wrapped his arms around the girls shoulders, pulling her body into his.
A feeling of awkwardness crossed over me, my gaze averting from the rather sickly display of public affection and the boy beside me doing the same. I grabbed his hand, pulling him along the hall not wanting to interrupt the seemingly happy couple as we went o our lockers.
"God they make me want to throw up."
~~~

We were now sat in our first lesson of the day, my eyes were wandering out of the pane of glass every few seconds, watching the law enforcement officers that were walking around the yellow buses but also because I was debating throwing myself out of one of them. Chemistry with Mr Harris, he was a dick and nobody liked him. I refuse to believe that he had even a speck of happiness inside of him and got off on making students suffer.

Stiles was clearly paying no attention to the class, his voice infiltrating my ears as the two boys I called my best friends would rather be discussing the bus situation than listening to the man teaching the lesson. The whole class could hear their conversation, the voices of the two were two octaves higher than the teacher. these boy did not know how to whisper.

I however was actually trying to learn, when I wasn't thinking about jumping through a pane of glass, I was paying attention to the discussion but caught the last sentence of their conversation.

"Raw?" Came the voice of Scott, his voice laced with his usual confusion.

"No you stopped to bake it in your little werewolf oven, I don't know dumbass you're re the one who can't remember anything!" To which Lilac couldn't help but let out a laugh, her mouth closing quickly and a hand slapping over her lips when Harris glared at the trio.

"Mr Stilinski, if that is your idea of a hushed whisper then you maybe you should take the headphones out every once in a while. I think you and Mr McCall and Miss Collins could benefit from a little distance yes?" Said Harris in his annoyingly monotonous voice, my eyes widening as I had only laughed but knowing I had no choice in the matter.

All three of us shook our heads and replied with a swift "no" but much to my dismay I was moved to the back of the classroom. I had sat down on the rather uncomfortable seat, placing my bad beside me on the ground with a quiet sigh and I turned to see who my new partner was as Harris told us we would sit here for the rest of the year and much to my pleasure it was the curly headed boy I had seen on the first day.

"Hey Isaac" I said, my voice startling him slightly as he flinched ever so slightly and I tried to ignore the sense of worry that crossed me, I was merely trying to start a conversation with the seemingly quiet boy.

"Hi Lilac" he said quietly, his voice a hushed whisper that wouldn't be heard if you didn't listen intently, it was as if he was afraid to talk to me.

"Call me Li, all my friends do." I told him, my tone matching his and he turned his head to me with one quick motion, his eyes widened significantly allowing me to see their bright blue colour.

"W-were friends" he asked with a stutter, he is so cute but I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. That's when I turn to face the boy, my eyes meeting his before they glanced down, just to below the ocean blue and notice his rather large black eye. It looked painful, the faint purple outlining. My hand reached out instinctively, wanting to make sure he was alright but once again he flinched.

"What happened Isaac?" I asked him, my hand quickly dropping back to my side, in a soft tone as he seemed genuinely frightened and the sense of worry began to pit inside of me once more.

"Lacrosse." Was all he replied, the word coming out quickly and sounded forced as he went back to keeping his head down, playing close attention to the work sheet in front of him as if to hide from the rest of the world.

"You and I both know that wasn't lacrosse now please Isaac tell me-" I was cut off by a person shouting, the voice stopping me from talking and I didn't miss his look of relief.

"Look, I think they found something!" A girl in the first row exclaimed and the whole class quickly made their way towards the window. I went to leave my chair, my legs standing rather quickly but noticed that Isaac sat still and didn't make an attempt to move. I peered over the students, standing in the back wanting to keep an eye on the blonde boy who seemed uncomfortable from the crowing teenagers, this was an advantage of being tall and saw a man being taken on a stretcher to an ambulance not before jumping up and startling the class.

I swiftly made my way back to my seat to avoid Harris wrath, the mans face had turned a deep crimson in anger and I focused my gaze on Isaac, this boy was hiding something and I was going to find out what.

"I'm gonna figure you out Isaac Lahey."

~~~
Me and the boys were in the cafeteria, the crowded tables spread throughout the space and the smell of food overtaking my senses, for lunch and walking over to our usual table that was rather isolated, it had been the three of us here since freshman year and even though it wasn't official, it was ours. Scott began to explain, his words spilling from his mouth to me, the worry of himself being monster and the man that was rolled away earlier being the topic of conversation.
"Dreams aren't memories." Stiles told Scott to which I nodded in agreement, it was a rather important distinction, there was as many times I have had dreams, dreams that felt all to real but in reality that was just what they were, dreams. His anxiety didn't seem to ease however.
"Then it wasn't a dream and I'm positive something happened last night but I just can't remember what." Scott replied sounding frustrated. I would be the same in his situation, not being able to remember what you did, kinda like the night I ended up in the woods with that body.
"And what makes you think that mr sour wolf has all the answers to your problem anyway." I asked Scott using my new nickname for Derek, my mind thinking back to the mans face, how he looked so angry as the police pulled him away.
"Because during the full moon he was in complete control whilst I was the running around attacking some totally innocent guy." He replied, looks of sympathy being sent his way.
"You don't know that Scott." I told him, I was also trying to convince myself of the words too and he just sighed not knowing what to believe.
"I don't not know it. I can't go out with Alison tonight I have to cancel!" He said sounding devastated, his mind being filled by the thought of disappointing her again but he just wanted to protect her from himself.
"No you're not cancelling.You can't cancel your entire life just talk to Derek and we will figure this out." I told him, my hand placing over his to try and ease his rather frantic way. The sound of a lunch tray making contact with the table cause our heads to turn to a certain strawberry blonde, her gaze not settling on any of us but rather on her tray of food.
"Figure what out!" She asked, he face wondrous as she finally made eye contact with the werewolf boy and he looked like he was scrambling for an answer.
"Just some homework." I quickly lied to Lydia, the sound of Scott letting out a sigh of relief being heard only to me.
"Why is miss queen bee sitting with us?" I whispered to the two boys, my look of condition being shared as both of them shrugged their shoulders in response.
"Move" said Jackson, his voice abruptly alerting the table to his presence, he was speaking to a boy sat at our table, about to take a bite of his food.
"Why do I have to move? Why can't Danny move!" The boy who's name I didn't know asked, his fingers pointing over to the boy who's fork was in his mouth.
Danny was quick to respond "Because I don't stare at his girlfriends coin slot!" Which earned a laugh from me, his eyes meeting mine as he smirked. The annoyed boy moving from the seat, him wandering the cafeteria in search of another.
Jackson sat down, his loud and obnoxious demeanour gave a rather uncomfortable setting and the table was filled with an awkward silence. Nobody speaking, the only sounds heard was the crunching of food and the sound of Stiles foot tapping nervously against the ground.
"I think it's some kind of animal attack. Probably a cougar!" Spoke Danny, him not needing to explain what he was talking about as it seemed to be the topic of conversation at every table in the room.
"I heard mountain lion." Jackson replied with a shrug of his shoulders as he replied to his best friend. My eyes narrowing at his stupidity.
"A cougar is a mountain lion." Both Lydia and I said at the same time, the red head quick to whip her head in my direction and as we smiled at each other. We have always been the top of our classes and I think I'm one of the only ones who knew how smart the girl actually was. However my smile dropped when she spoke next
"Isn't it?" She asked playing coy, always acting dumb because of her stupid boyfriend. A girl should be aloud to have brains and beauty, I mean I did.
"Who cares? the guy was probably just some homeless tweaker that was going to die anyway." Said Jackson. His audacity, he always looks down upon those he sees as lesser than him.
"Prick" I mumbled which earned a snigger from the sarcastic boy beside me. "Actually I just found out who it is, check it out."
Each of us standing from our seats, our legs cramping as we leaned to get a better view of the boys phone screen to watch the video playing on it. I was practically on top of my best friend, my neck craned to see properly and the feeling of warmth on my neck made me shiver. I didn't need to move to realise it was the boys breath, the mint mojito gum scent hitting my nose.
"Wait a second, I know this guy!" Exclaimed Scott, everybody placing themselves back down.
"You do?" The Argent girl asked, her head turned to look at her boyfriend with confusion.
"Yeah he was the bus driver back from when i took the bus when I lived with my dad." Explained Scott to the rest of the table, me feeling slightly uncountable by the mention of the man.
"Can we talk about something slightly less depressing please? How about we talk about where we are going tomorrow night?" Lydia asked setting her eyes on the brunette girl across from her with a sigh, seemingly sensing the awkwardness looming over us all which I was grateful for.
"So we are hanging out like the four of us? Do you want to hang out like us and them?" Asked Scott asked I grabbed Stiles hand awaiting her response.
"Yeah, I guess. Sounds fun." Allison's smile never wavered as she replied, her shoulder shrugging as if it wasn't a big deal.
"You know what else sounds fun? Stabbing myself in the face with a fork!" Said Jackson, the piece of metal cutlery in his hand as he made the motion.
"I'll do it for you" I told him to which he glared and the rest of the table snickered.
"What about you Li, why don't you and Stiles come it can be a triple date?" Said Lydia as she stared at me waiting for an answer, my eyes widening as I quickly racked my brain for a believable excuse.
"We can't sorry, we have to study, big test coming up." I said, mentally face palming myself for reusing the same one as last time.
"You said that last time come on Li, it will be fun." She said giving me her best puppy dog
