'this might be the dumbest thing we have ever done.'

The sound of beeping machines and people clicking a giant keyboards began to infiltrate my ears, the masses of patients walking through the halls or being pushed around on gurneys. It was beginning to get dark outside, the sun beginning to set over the town and cast the blackness of the night instead. The inside was well lit, the bright lights scattering the ceiling were almost blinding.

I found myself following after my two best friends, each of their strides significantly larger than mine leading me to pick up my pace as they stepped through the doors of the hospital, a place I have grew to hate due to the memories I have here. The plan was one of complete stupidity and it was beginning to make me question the sanity of each of us.

Tonight, Scott had been the one to come up with the idea, to sneak into the morgue and catch a scent on the other half of the body that laid inside of the doors to see if it was the same as the grave sight he had found at Dereks house. The older wolf had apparently buried somebody at his house, a pile of overturned ground and piling soil. We would have been none the wiser to this secret, the fact going over our heads but Scotty decided to pay him a visit earlier and smeller he scent of a certain crimson red liquid.

No matter how stupid we believed the plan to be, our footsteps carried us deeper into the building, cautious with each step in hopes of not being caught by the betas mother. Nobody paid us a second glance, we were seemingly normal people walking through a hospital and it was rude to pry on the reason a person would be here. My eyes darted to every corner, my glasses making my vision clear as I checked we were clear from disturbance.

"This idea is stupid!" I told them in a whisper yell, voicing my very loud thoughts as I was already done with this plan.

"You're not even doing anything Li just sit here and wait for me with Stiles ok?" Scott replied, both of the boys having turned to look at me with glares and I sighed knowing they hated how negative I was.

"Fine." I groaned and rolled my eyes at the boys. The two always dragged me along with them, on all kinds of trouble and this seems kinda illegal. The possibility of being arrested looming in my mind and the look of disappointment from Noah that came along with it.

Both me and Stiles made our way to the waiting area, our pace slow as we saw no need to rush and took a seat on the blue chairs that were empty waiting for Scott. I began to move around in my seat, the hard surface digging against the bones of my skeleton, my ass hurts. I got up, the metal of the furniture too uncomfortable and decided to sit on Stiles lap.

"Li what the hell are you doing?" He asked seemingly uncomfortable with our current position as I sat down on him.

"Sitting on your lap what does it look like, the chairs are hurting my ass." I sassed back, to which he replied a whatever as he wiggled from underneath me seemingly trying to get more comfortable as I had done.

It was quiet as I sat deep in thought, my mind crossing with a thousand possibilities about our current situation until the silence was broken as Stiles suddenly took a deep intake of breath. My gaze turned to follow his, only to notice his entranced expression that was for the one and only Lydia Martin.

"Oh look Stiles nows your chance to get the girl." I told him trying to build up his courage and talk to her and he shook his head refusing my statement and not moving from the seat even if I was stopping him from doing so.

"What? I don't want to get the girl." he said, his gaze flickering between my brown hair and her red one. "At least not Lydia." He mumbled under his breath but I didn't quite hear him in the hushed tone he spoke and his gaze settling of my shoes because he couldn't see his own.

"Stiles you've been in love with her since the third grade now get off you ass and take your chance, any girl would be lucky to have a guy like you as a boyfriend." I told him hoping this would give him the courage to talk to her but still he didn't avert his caramel eyes from their position as he sighed not knowing how to answer.

"I don't like Lydia anymore Li I like someone else ok." He told me and I couldn't believe it. My eyes must have widened to almost twice their usual size and my jaw becoming agape that I was sure it would become stuck that way. For the longest time Stiles has practically drooled over Lydia and now he has a crush on somebody else, this girl must be something else. This conversation just became much more interesting.

"What? Who? Tell me!" I exclaimed obviously wanting to know who the mystery girl was and he let out a small chuckle at my enthusiasm.

"Well she's got long brown hair, she's funny, sarcastic and she's really pretty." He described his apparent new crush and I groaned, my mind blank of possibilities knowing he wasn't going to tell me who it was but I would still push him anyway.

"Stop with all this mushy shit, just give me a name." I told him just wanting to know already and he looked up, brown meeting green as he smirked.

"Maybe you'll find out soon." He replied which annoyed me, we tell each other everything and now he's keeping secrets.

"But I want to-" I was quickly cut off by a certain red headed girl that was quickly approaching us and her eyes were giving very suggesting looks about our current position.

"Hey, you're Lilac right." She asked picking at her nails as if she wasn't really that interested and he tone was anything less than enthusiastic.

"Actually it's Li but yes" I told her wondering why Lydia Martin was talking to me and Stiles seemed to share my expression of confusion as she continued to pick at her perfectly manicured nails.

"Oh Li ok but Allison was telling me about you and told me you were coming on the triple date this Saturday with us and some guy named, um what was his name, Biles right?" She said to me and her eyes glanced over to meet Stiles for a second and I felt him tense from underneath me.

"Actually it's Stiles and he's right here but as I told Allison we can't make it because we already planned to study for the test next week." I said trying to squeeze my way out of the situation and I could tell she was suspicious and analysing my words as she narrowed her eyes.

"Oh shame you look cute together but maybe we could hang out some time, go shopping?" But as I went to reply I was cut off by Jackson approaching and sucking off Lydia's face, the twos lips having a fight for dominance and the sloppy sound hitting our ears without giving a second thought to whoever witnessed that and they left the hospital together seeming to not care for my answer. I turned to the boy who's lap I was sat on and made gagging motions making him laugh.

"You told them that we're dating?" Stiles asked me, my laughter dying down immediately as I seemed to be at a loss for words.

"No she just assumed and I went along with it but I told Allison that we're best friends, nothing more." I replied to his question and I could see his eyes trailing my whole face as I spoke, his eyes seemingly loosing their light.

"Yes friends." He said with a hurt expression but as I went to ask him about it, Scott came out of the morgue and quickly came toward us. He seemed out of breath and was wearing a look I could only decipher as anxiety. I stood to my feet, my vision going black for a few seconds at the head rush.

"It's the same." Was the first thing the boy said, a highly disturbed facial expression showing having just seen the girls body again. "The scent was the same." he said and now we all shared the same look of anxiety.

"Are you sure?" Both me and Stiles questioned at the same time, the two of us stood beside each other and our shoulder touching.

"Positive." He assured us with glances around the corridor in fear somebody had heard our conversation or that his mother would appear from around the corner.

"So that means he buried the other half of the body on his property." Stiles concluded as he looked between the two of us as if asking if we both agree to which I nodded my head, Scotty seemingly still confused.

"Which means we have proof that he killed the girl!" Scott exclaimed finally catching on to what Stiles was saying and his eyes seemed to light up knowing we could catch the man actually responsible for the murder.

"Okay Scott tell me something, are you doing this because you want to stop Derek or because you want to play in the game and he said you couldn't?" He asked wanting to know the real reason that Scott seemed so adamant about stopping Derek. We both knew how excited Scott was to be first line, he didn't stop talking about it freshman year and he finally had his chance but now Derek was taking it away.

"There were bite marks on the legs Stiles, bite marks." He exclaimed trying to keep as quiet as possible so people couldn't hear our conversation. To me his answer didn't really fit the question but I think it's because Scott was yet to know his actual answer.

"Okay then we're going to need shovels!" Stiles told us and I immediately knew where he was going with this. We were going to dig up a dead body.

"This is not how I thought my day would go."

~~~
Now here we were at Derek's house, the preserve was quiet as we sat watching through the front window of the blue Jeep, waiting for the man to leave in his Camaro. Whilst I sat in the back seat, my legs cramped by the two boys and began debating all my life decisions, questioning why I am even friends with these boys. Seriously this is some horror movie type shit and I really don't feel like dying tonight. If Derek did murder this girl then by doing this we are lining up to be next.
"This may be the dumbest thing we have ever done." I said to the two boys who just agreed with me as we jumped from the car, the mans departure signalling that it was our time to start digging as the boys began to shovel the large pile of soil. A flashlight in my hands that gave the body light as they worked fast scared the sourwolf would return.
"Actually the dumbest thing we have ever done was jump out of Scott's window when we were seven because we thought we could fly and I had a broken ankle, you had a broken wrist and Stiles only got a cut on his face." Said Scott which brought back all the memories of when we were kids, the hospital visit that our parents were less than happy about and the pink cast I had on my arm for six weeks.
"Hey I had to get seven stitches ok, seven." Said Stiles as if to prove a point and pointing to the small scar on the side of his face that was caused from the stupidness of us.
"By the way what happens if he comes back because I don't want to be murdered." I said and the boy with the lob sided jaw nodded in agreement, paranoia beginning to set in all of us as we anxiously glanced around every couple of seconds. The light beginning to shake in my hands from both fear and the cold.
"Yeah me either." Scott agreed verbally as he threw he dirt over his head with ease.
"I have a plan for that." Stiles said not elaborating on what it was as his shovel collided with the other boys, making a large clank sound that started all of us.
"Which is?" Both me and the floppy haired boy asked simultaneously.
"Scott runs one way and me and Li run another way and whoever he catches first then too bad." He said seemingly proud of his so called plan and I sighed knowing that I could run faster than the boy.
"That's so not fair, Scott has werewolf speed and Stiles no offence but you couldn't hurt a fly." I said proving my point and the boy placed his hands over his heart before begging to flail them round in annoyance.
"I would never let anything happen to you Li." Said Stiles, his annoyance fading into protectiveness as he looked over at me, not quite being able to catch my eyes through the layer of darkness. Before I could reply, the beta spoke.
"I think I found something." The words surprised us all, us listening intently to the sound of the shovel hitting something hard under the last bit of ground.
All three of us dropped to our knees in the hole, the dust coating our clothes that would probably leave stains and began the shovel the remaining dirt with our hands to reveal a package wrapped in what appears to be a sheet of white cloth and tied in about a thousand knots of twine. Swiftly we tried to untie the knots, the boys short fingernails giving them a struggle but I was having the easiest time having the longer nails.
"Hurry!" Said Scott who seemed to be panicking in case a suspected murderer was to come back as his hands fiddled with the tiny pieces of string.
"I'm trying, why did he have to tie this thing in like nine thousand knots," said Stiles. A thought popping into my head as I remembered something, I began to dig into my jacket pocket, the cool metal hitting my skin and pulled out my keys which had a pocket knife and cut all the ropes. Stiles then turned to me.
"Why do you have a knife?" He said as if I had just committed a crime and I smirked at his stupidness.
"Stiles I'm a teenage girl living in America of course I carry a knife." I said to which he shrugged as of saying I believe you and I placed the jangling keychain back into my pocket.
Now with all the knots undone, we slowly removed the sheet, a putrid smell unearthing as we did to reveal something we were not expecting, half a body, but half a wolf body. All three of us jumped back startled and stared at the lifeless animal. My eyes looked into its own, they seemed familiar which was strange because I was certain that I had never seen a wolf in my life.
"What the hell is that?" Questioned Stiles even though it was clear what the answer was and we all moved back to the edge of the whole to get a closer look.
"It's a wolf." said Scott clearly misunderstanding what Stiles actually meant making the boy sigh.
"Of course we can see it's a wolf Scott, he means we thought you smelled blood as in human blood." I shouted at him and the boy raised his hands in mock surrender as he began to sniff the air like a dog.
"I told you something was different when we first got here." He shouted back and I wanted to smack him for not only wasting our time but putting our lives in danger.
"Just let's wrap it back up." Said Scott obviously wanting to get out of here and we nodded ready to put the body away from our sight.
I looked up to see a single purple flower on the ground just beside the grave, it's colour popping out from all the brown and stared at it wondering why it seemed familiar. Stiles seemed to notice my gaze and shared my expression. I reached for the flower, my hand wrapping around the small petals and stem and as I picked it up it was attached to a rope.
"What the hell is that!" Scott questioned as he eyed the rope hanging from the plant in wonder.
"It's wolfsbane" Stiles told him but Scott clearly didn't know what he meant and my mind realised where I had seen it before. " Seriously you've never seen the Wolf man..." he trailed off but it stopped listening as he started listing some movies I have never heard of. "You are so unprepared for this." He finished and took the plant from my hand and pulled the rope out of its spiral position that it was in.
I took another glance at the grave and let out a scream to which alerted the boys who also let out a scream after seeing what I had just seen.
We were now looking at half of a human dead body, the same one I saw from my night in the woods to be precise. Her eyes staring at me the same way they did the night Scott was bitten and I now knew why they looked so familiar.
Stiles quickly phoned his father, his words scrambled as he tried to come up with an explanation as to how we had come across this and to which he told his son the go home, the place he should have been in the first place and that he would deal with it.
"Well this just made my nightmares ten times worse."
~~~

We were now in Stiles jeep, the car being filled with frantically working minds as we were driving Scott back home. My hands trying away on my keypad as I researched wolfsbane being used for burials but was coming up empty handed and I groaned in annoyance as I scrolled the countless pages of Google.

"Guys there is nothing here about wolfsbane being used for burial." I told them and the wolf turned to take a look at my phone and the spastic boy kept his eyes on the road.

"Just keep looking" they replied simultaneously as they both began to look int he same direction, Scott's hand above his head as he held into the ceiling handle.

"Maybe it's like a ritual or something, like maybe they bury you as a wolf. Try searching that." Stiles said, my fingers stopping after the first few words and looked over at the boy with a glare.

"Yes Stiles because I can definitely type that into google and find an answer." I sassed back and the boy scoffed at my sarcastic tone.

"Maybe it's a special skill, you know? Or something you have to learn?." Stiles told Scott who listened intently to what he had to say and therefore ignoring my previous comment.

"I'll put it on my to do list right under figuring out how I'm gonna play this game tomorrow!" He said seemingly annoyed and rightfully so, all this supernatural crap was affecting our lives.

"Maybe it's different for girl werewolves?" Stiles continued on much to Scott's annoyance as I continued to scroll through articles.

"Stop it!" Said Scott "Stop enjoying this so much." Scott was now clearly angry at Stiles

"You're gonna have to accept it Scott."said the mole covered boy in reply, his eyes taking quick glance over to him.

"I can't."He said and I felt sorry for the boy, he got bit and now his life will never be the same again.

"Well sooner or later you a-" but was cut off by Scott's heavy breathing and complaining that he can't breathe. He looked pale, like he was sick but I didn't think werewolves could get sick. Then I realised what was happening and I opened Stiles backpack only to confirm my suspicions that he had kept the wolfsbane.

"You idiot you kept this, it's clearly poisonous to him." I shouted at Stiles and was about to continue until Scott slammed his hand against the roof of the jeep and now he had elongated claws and his eyes were glowing a bright amber instead of their normal brown.

"STOP THE CAR!" Scott shouted and the brakes slammed, my body jerking forward in my seat against my seatbelt as Stiles quickly leapt out of the car, his legs carrying him away from the still vehicle before throwing the wolfsbane as far away as possible whilst Scott ran from the car into the woods, despite me shouting for him to come back. Great, just great, now we have a werewolf on the loose.

"I just hope he doesn't kill someone."

~~~
We were driving round in the jeep again, our eyes peeled down each road we drove as we were trying to spot Scott, him not showing back up after his sudden
