Nico's POV.

"Have the investors call me any other time." I snapped into the receiver irritated to be pulled away. Ignoring the voice on the other end of the line, an image on Athena suddenly flashed through my mind as the sight of her managed to catch my breath as always.

"...But sir, if you do not speak with them soon you could lose the deal." Mia said in sudden alarm drawing my attention once again.

Pitching my nose in irritation I blew out a breath as I squeezed the device tightly trying to rein my temper in, "If we lose this deal, the company would not collapse. It will be done in my time or no time."

With that, I shut the device off, ending the call and made my way back into the now illuminated ballroom as my gaze zoned in on the gathering crowd of men standing close to the staging area. Slowly approaching, my heart slammed into my chest as Athena stood center stage looking as beautiful as ever as the master of ceremony screamed into the mike...

"30,000 euros!"

"40,000!" A man said to the opposite end of the room grinning excitedly as pure fury consumed my veins. I wanted to walk over as wring his neck as he lasciviously stared at her.

"60,000!" A familiar voice boomed as my gaze connected with Dillon whose eyes shone with ill-concealed mirth.

"75,000!" Ethan declared, rising from his table as the crowd looked on. Slyly winking at me, he approached the area where the rest of the men stood by.

"100,000!" A strong Italian voice said in a cool tone as a sudden hush overtook the large space. That bastard I muttered approaching my group of what I use to call friends as they tried their best to conceal their amusement. Bypassing them to the sudden parted crowd, the bright red rage slowly melted away as my eyes landed onto her angelic sweet face.

"500,000." I murmured as evident gasps were echoed.

"600,000..." Countered Ethan once again as the proud English challenged me.          

"900,000." Dillon repeated, sharing a look with Ethan as my fist clenched tightly digging into my palms.

The three men who I considered my brothers stood side by side with a satisfied smirk to their knowing faces. I felt the muscle tick in my jaw as I glared at them to which they grinned back pissing me of on purpose.

"2,000,000." I said again loud and clear challenging anyone to outbid me.

"2,000,000!" The man dressed similar to the joker excitedly screamed, "Going once...going twice...SOLD!" He shouted in elation as Athena made her way towards me.

Meeting her halfway, I pulled her body into mine placing a ravishing kiss against her shocked lips wanting everyone in the room to know that she was mine. Taking her hands, I led her down the stairs and straight out of the hotel bypassing the self -satisfied smirks of Lucas, Dillon and Ethan and into the awaiting car.

"Drive faster." I barked at the chauffeur as the car sped along the road.

"Nico?" Her soft melodic voice whispered questioningly from beside me as I glanced at her beautifully etched face in the silence of the car.

Anything she did caused an ache between my legs I had to look away.

"Not now baby." I replied gruffly as my crotched tightened almost painfully.

Sensing her sullen mood, I placed a soothing kiss to her soft fingers as her hands tightened in response.

A couple minutes later, we entered the house and almost unwillingly I let go of her soft hands immediately feeling the loss of her presence as I heard the click of her heels following behind on the marble floor as I entered the wet bar.

"Nico..." I heard her call my name again as I looked up from pouring a shot of whiskey into the tumbler.

"Agape mou." I began then thought better of it and downed the burning drink before continuing, "The very presence of you drives me mad with want. I want you in every which way I could have you. But..." Swallowing past the dry lump in my throat, I gazed into her widen eyes as I found the will to continue on, "But I cannot have you. Not like this. You deserve better than me." I said repeating her words as I felt the ache move to a spot in the middle of my chest.

"You are my better." She said softly looking at me with more emotion that I ever deserved.

"No." I replied as though the word itself was squeezed from inside me.

Slowly approaching me, she removed the glass from my tight grip carefully placing it onto the countertop as her bright eyes burnt into mine.

As if sensing my inter torment, her gentle hands cupped my face.

"You once offered me an escape when I needed it the most." She said with deep sincerity, "Now allow me to be yours."

Before I had a moment of clear thinking, she placed her sweet mouth against mine and I lost it. Slamming her into my body, I pressed her up against every hardened inch of me giving her a taste of what she had truly meant to me. My tongue invaded her pink mouth stealing her divine taste and branding her as my own. A low growl erupted from my chest as she fought back in equal fervor matching my heat. Teeth clashed against the other as I sucked her hard, feeling her body give against my own. With no hesitation, I swung her into my arms, never parting ways from her addicting taste as I blindly made my way up the stairs and into the room setting her down onto the bed.
