I wake up at 7.30am, I climb out of bed and I head to the kitchen. Ginny is in there cooking breakfast for us.

Damn, I wanted to cook breakfast for Landon and I. I don't like be waited on. I used to doing the waiting.

Ginny smiles. "Good morning, Mrs Parker."

I smile. "Can you please call me, Mikayla?"

She nods. "Okay," she continues cooking the meal.

Landon enters the kitchen and he sits next to me. He kisses me on the cheek. "Good morning, baby. How are you?"

I smile. "Good. After breakfast we're going to a few places that I want to visit."

He puts his hand in mine. "Where are we going today? I have to let the driver know just in case there's problems with parking for him."

"I want to see the Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Building and Brooklyn Bridge. My brothers took me to Brooklyn last night. We had dinner at Bar and Grill. Josh left with our waitress last night."

Landon laughs. "I'm going to laugh if this woman is the one to tame him. I just hope he doesn't let her go like I did to you..." he trails off.

I touch his cheek. "You've got me now, Landon. I don't know why you need me to keep reminding you that I'm not going anywhere."

He shakes his head. "That's not true. You are going to leave me for three months while the divorce goes through. What happens if you don't come back? I don't think I can live without you again, Mikayla."

I climb off my seat and sit on his lap. "I'll always come back to you. Hopefully when I return after those three months away from you I have our daughter with me. Then we'll have our own family."

He whispers. "Did you chose a name for your daughter?"

I nod. "Faith!"

"I like that name."

Me, too.

After breakfast Landon and I move to our room and we get changed. I put on a pair of jeans and a tank top. I slip my feet into a pair of sandals. I pick up my handbag. "Are you ready to go?"

He nods. "The car will be out front now. Do you want your brothers to come or are they staying at the condo with your parents?"

"They left early for Washington. They wanted to take a tour of The White House." I shake my head. "I don't know why they would waste money on that when they get to see it tonight without paying."

Landon laughs. "Maybe, they want to be tourists for the day and not take advantage of their sister being the girlfriend of The President's Son. They're going to get noticed when they do the tour. Everyone know George and Mariana's kids since we're always in magazines."

Landon and I exit the condo. The driver is standing next to the door and he has it open for us. I climb down the stairs and I see flashes coming from a camera by the bush. I cover my face with my hands.

Landon pulls me to the car and we climb inside. Landon turns to me. "Where do you want to go first?"

"Statue of Liberty."

He smiles. "Good, I hired a private boat to take us there in an hour and a half."

The limo pulls onto the road and it takes us towards the wharf. I look out the window and watch the scenery change from the condos to the City.

At the wharf Landon and I step out of the limo and we make our way to the boat. I see a gift shop. I turn to Landon. 'Can we go in there, pretty please?"

Landon holds his hand out to me and I take it. We enter the store. I see a statue of Liberty ornaments. I pick it up.

This will look cute on the Christmas tree.

Landon picks up a basket and he brings it to me.

I put some t-shirts in the basket. I place a stuffed toy in there for my daughter. I want her to know that I never forgot her while she was gone.

Landon and I walk over to the register and I pay for the stuff. I exit the store with three bags of things.

The boat pulls up to the wharf and Landon walks over to the guy. He hugs him. "Hey, Jeremy. It's been a while since I've see you around."

"It has. So, who is the beautiful woman that I'm taking to The Statue of Liberty?"

"Mikayla Parker." I shake his hand.

Jeremy shakes his head. "Why didn't you tell me you got married? I thought we agreed that we would be each other's Best Man?"

I put my foot in it.

I clear my throat and he looks at me. "We're not legally married. We went to Vegas and got hitched."

Landon pulls his friend on the boat and they start to whisper. The guy nods. "Come aboard the boat. I'll take you to the places you want to go."

I climb aboard the boat and I take a seat at the back. I pull my camera out of my bag and I take photo's as the boat cruises along the river.

When the boat gets close the statue. Jeremy shuts off the boat. He looks at us. "Do you want me to take a photo of you two with the statue?"

I give him the camera.

He takes a couple of photos of us. "Here you go."

I take the camera from here and I go through it.

He's got a great eye for details. I think he would be a better photographer for the wedding instead of the Best Man.

Landon pulls me into his arms and he kisses me. I hear a snap as someone takes a picture of Landon and I.

Landon looks around and he's a boat pull alongside them. A bunch of paparazzi are snapping pictures of us.

Can't we get a couple minutes of privacy. Oh, wait that hard for them when they want to follow the rich around.

I look at Landon. "I forgot to ask. How did the meeting go last night?"

He smiles. "It's still need to be negotiated. I told them I was going out tonight with my wife and her family. They want to meet tomorrow. They asked about you."

I frown. "They don't know me. Why would they ask for me?"

He looks at the ground. "The wives are the ones that make the final decision. This is where I need you. Do you think you can do that?"

I nod. "I'll give it a try, Landon. But, I don't think the wives would like me much."

He shakes his head. "They'll love you. You have been doing great things for the company since the moment you stepped foot in there. I remember the first time I saw you in Parker Inc."

I smile. "I'm going to love hearing this story from you."

He pulls me into his arms and he sits on the chair. His lips brushes my ear as he whispers. "I was on the top floor of Parker Inc the day you arrived. You somehow got a position right up the top of the company as my Grandfather's secretary. I don't know how you managed that and you were fresh out of University."

I turn in his arms. "I was working with you Grandparents while I was University. They guy that paid for my University education knew your Grandparents and he asked them to give me a shot in the company. I started at the bottom and I was allowed to leave work to attend classes. If I didn't show up to class your Grandparents knew about. Grandmother would meet in the entryway to the building and she would take me to classes. She didn't like the idea of me being tardy catching a bus to University."

Landon laughs.

I wrap my arms around him. "I started at the bottom. I was a copy person. During my second year at the company. I worked for someone on the next floor. The third year you Grandmother trained me to me to be a secretary. She made sure that I worked closely with her. That's when we got closer." I shove him. "You changed the topic. I want to hear the story of the first time you met me."

Landon kisses my temple. "You were wearing a black pencil skirt with a white blouse. Your hair was up in a messy bun and you had pens in your hair."

I smile.

I kept losing my pens. So, I thought putting them in my hair would help me find them. That didn't work out for me. I lost them as well.

Landon closes his eyes. "When you left the office to get Grandmother her coffee. She hit me on the back of my head and she told me that I needed to keep my distance from." He laughs. "When someone tells me not to do something I go for it. I went after you and you never paid any attention to me until you graduated from University." He whispers. "I showed up to your graduation. Grandmother told me you didn't have anyone and from that day I wanted to be the one that would be there for you."

I whisper. "You have been, Landon. I'm glad you were there for me."

"When you left last year I kept asking Grandmother about you. I missed you every day, Kay. Every girl I was with I compared to you and..." he trails off. He looks at the ground and then rubs the back of his neck. He sighs. "... That was wrong."

"I don't care about the girls. Did you think about coming after me after you found out that the child wasn't yours?"

He looks at the statue. "I did come after you. I went to a café close to your place and I saw you with a guy and I thought he was your boyfriend."

I shake my head. "I never dated anyone after you. I remained single until you got me to sign the Agreement to be yours for the year."

The boast comes to a stop. "We're close to the Chrysler building." Jeremy gives us directions there.

***

At Chrysler building Landon holds my hand and we line up to get inside. The line starts to move slowly.

The lift door opens for us and we step into the lift. It takes us to the top floor. When I exit the lift I am looking at a 360 degree view of New York City.

The City looks beautiful from up here.

Landon takes some pictures with his phone. He wraps his arms around me and we stick out our tongues.

Landon turns the phone around and he show me the picture. "That's going to be my screensaver."

My stomach starts to rumble.

Landon shakes his head. "Let's go to the Café and order lunch. I don't want to explore on an empty stomach. You're not eating that much Mikayla. Is everything alright?"

I nod. "You don't need to worry about me, Landon. I'm doing fine."

He holds my hand and we make our way to the café.

At the café I order a sandwich and I look for a table. I take the order number and place it in the centre of the table.

"I'm going to the bathroom." I rise and head to the bathroom.

I stand in front of the mirror and I wash my hands. I brush some of my blonde hair out of my face.

I want to go home.

I sigh.

I exit the bathroom and sit across from Landon.

He looks at me. "Do you want to go to Brooklyn Bridge after this?"

I shake my head. "I'm tired. Thank you for today, Landon. I had so much fun here with you." I look at the time. "Do you think we'll make it in time to dinner at seven?"

He looks at the time. "Shit, it's already two and it takes three hours for us to get to the White House."

Landon and I have lunch quickly. We run to the lift. I press the button and say. "Hurry up."

Landon pulls out his phone and he calls his driver to meet us out front.

The door opens and we enter the lift. It takes us to the bottom floor. We exit the lift. The driver is out front and he has the door open for us.

I enter the limousine and Landon follows me. I lean against him and close my eyes.
