DREW'S POV

Mallory and I got to Chase and Mads' place early that afternoon, and once everyone was there, we began the celebrations on the renewal for a third season of Outer Banks.

This show meant so much to all of us, it was life changing for every single one of us. This show was our lives and it was so exciting that we were able to live another season of it. It was so fun to be apart of, it didn't even feel like work most days. Working with the crew was so great, and I made some of the best friends I'll have for life. We've made such great memories together and I was so grateful for every moment I had with my friends.

I was also so stoked for Mallory to be apart of this team now. I didn't know how much we'd be working together, but we'd be in Charleston together and she would get to work with such an awesome crew, I was so excited for her.

As I hung out in this apartment with my friends, we were messing with each other, some of us doing stupid shit that had others recording and laughing. We were drinking, listening to music, and overall having a great time together.

One thing I could not stop doing however, was taking my eyes off of Mallory. I loved the way she would laugh so hard she would bend over in pain. I thought it was so cute when she would catch me looking at her and I could tell she would immediately start blushing and she would try to hide her smile, which caused me to smile.

"Saw Mal's story today." Chase mentioned as he walked up from behind me, patting my shoulder.

"Oh yeah?" I raised my eyebrow, ready to hear whatever he had to say.

He didn't know Mallory and her boyfriend broke up, and considering I had just found out last night, I'm sure her story was confusing to others.

"What's goin' on with you guys?" Chase asked me as he took a sip of his beer, now looking at Mallory who was laughing about something with Austin and Mads.

"Well," I sighed. "She uh, she actually broke up with her boyfriend. She wasn't really happy with their relationship so she decided it was for the better to end it. And I think it ended up being for the better. Dinner last night went really well, and we decided to go to brunch this morning to celebrate each other." I explained as vaguely as I could to him. I didn't want to go into too much detail, but I figured he should know that we were in a really good place.

"Dinner went really well, huh?" He elaborated, his eyebrows raised and a grin on his face.

"Yeah," I nodded as I thought back to last night. I never would have expected it to end the way that it did, but I wasn't complaining. "I uh, I ended up telling her how I felt, and she feels the same."

"No," Chase gasped sarcastically. I rolled my eyes but I couldn't help but chuckle. My feelings for her were obvious, and him and Mads could tell Mallory's were too, so now that we expressed how we felt towards each other, it was like a band aid was finally ripped off. "So, did you make it official then?" He now asked.

"Not yet," I shook my head. "I do wanna take things slow for now. I mean, she just got out of a relationship, a-and I'm still trying to grasp my head around the fact that this is all happening." I told him. "I was thinking, maybe, at some point while we're in Charleston, I do have an idea on how to ask her, but for now, we're just taking things slow." I told him.

"Ah," Chase nodded. "If you need my help at all, or Mads' help, let us know. You know Mads loves to be apart of cute surprises like that." He mentioned and I nodded, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"Thanks," I chuckled. "Yeah, I might need you guys."

As Chase and I finished up our conversation, Mads and Mallory came over to us, Mads greeting Chase and Mallory coming up to me.

"Hey," I smiled down at her.

"Hi," She grinned up at me.

"Having fun?" I asked her.

"So much fun." Mallory nodded as she took a sip of her drink, looking around the apartment to see everybody having a good time. "Are you?" She asked me.

"Of course," I nodded. "Every time is a good time at Chase and Mads place." I chuckled, elbowing Chase since he was right next to me.

"Guys!" We heard and looked over to see Maddie waving us over. "Austin is going live on the OBX Instagram account! We're gonna announce season three!" She told us.

Chase, Mads and I went over to Austin, JD, Maddie and Rudy, and Mallory went over to Rudy's and Maddie's girlfriend along with a couple of our other friends since they weren't actually apart of the show.

We crowded around Austin as he went live, and as I read the comments people seemed to be really excited that we were all together like this, even though this is how we spent most of our days.

"Alright. I'm gonna give it a few more minutes. Let some more people join." Austin said as he was fixing his hair.

Rudy and I started reading some of the comments that skipped by. I always found the comments so entertaining. One of the comments asked us what our favorite scene was to shoot in season two, so we each talked about that for a few minutes.

I looked over at Mallory to see how she was doing while we were going live, and I saw that she was talking to Elaine. I smiled to myself, remembering the first time she met everybody and how she was so quiet and timid, and now she was so comfortable around everyone. She fit perfectly in our friend group.

"Okay, okay, there are almost 150,000 people, which is insane. I guess we should get started." Austin now said. "How's everybody doin'?" He asked the viewers as we waited a second to see them answer in the comments.

As we read the comments that scrolled on by, I heard Chase. "It looks like everybody is doing pretty good, which is great because we're doing well too." He said. "We're doing well because we have some exciting news to share." He mentioned and we all looked at each other.

"Three... two... one..." Rudy counted down.

"Season three of Outer Banks is coming baby!"

We all started to cheer, so excited for the fact that we'll be able to put out another entire season of the show. The comments started to go wild as we were cheering, and I couldn't help but smile at all the fans who were just as excited as we were. This wouldn't be possible without the fans who loved the show, we owed it all to them.

We answered some comments that asked questions regarding the show, and I kept noticing some comments come up that I didn't know how to answer.

Does Drew have a girlfriend?
Who's the girl Drew recently started following on Instagram?
Is Drew dating the new girl he's been with lately?

Those were just some of the questions regarding Mallory and I, and I guess I was stupid to not be with her discretely. We should've been more private about going out in public together and such, since the last thing I would ever want is for the public to scrutinize her for no reason.

People can be ruthless, especially when it comes to celebrities relationships. I didn't want to drag Mallory into that. And now seeing that people were aware of the girl I had taken an interest in, I had to be proactive about that before it got worse.

"Drew," I heard Austin say, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked over at him, waiting for him to continue. "Anything else you wanna say?"

"Uh, yeah," I nodded as I now looked at the phone. "Thank you guys for all the love and support. We wouldn't be here without you guys. Season three won't disappoint. We promise."

We all now said our goodbyes to the fans, ending the live stream. We got up from our seat, since we were all crouched around the phone. I noticed Mallory come up to me as I stood up.

"Hey," She softly smiled as she rubbed my arm. "You okay?"

I cracked a smile, loving how she could already detect that I was off. It's not that I wasn't okay, I was just trying to think of how to keep the spotlight out of Mallory and I's relationship. Going live and reading the comments from fans made me realize that everything I did was being watched.

I've seen what the public has done to Chase and Mads' relationship, and even Rudy and Elaine's. The public and our fans were way too good at finding out information.

"Yeah," I answered as I smiled down at her. "Everything's fine." I leaned down and kissed the top of her head.

"Good," She giggled as she now hooked her arm around mine. "Because Elaine and I were thinking of playing a game once you guys were done."

"Yeah?" I cocked an eyebrow as I looked down at her, my arm now wrapped around her shoulder.

"Drewseph," I looked up and saw Rudy holding up his drink. "Truth or drink. You in?"

I looked down at Mallory, and the expression on my face was asking her if that was the game her and Elaine were plotting while we were on live. She giggled as she nodded, before pulling me over to my friends.

"C'mon," Mallory said as she looked up at me. "It'll be fun."

I shook my head as I tried to prepare myself for where this game was going to take us for the rest of the night.
