DREW'S POV

We were now walking to an ice cream shop that was about ten minutes away from my apartment. Chase, Mads, JD, and Austin were able to join Mallory and I, and I was glad because this gave them a chance to get to know Mallory better.

Mads and Mallory walked together for the most part, as Chase and I walked together and JD and Austin together in front of us.

"So, how's your missing puzzle piece?" Chase whispered so no one else would hear. We were walking behind everyone, Mads and Mallory up front, so I was hoping they couldn't hear.

"Don't call her that." I rolled my eyes, shoving him lightly.

"You're right, my bad." Chase nodded. "How is Malloray?" He questioned with one of his stupid accents.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the fact that he couldn't just say her name. "Good," I answered him. "I think things are going good. We're getting along really well." I told Chase as we approached the ice cream shop.

"Glad to hear it, bud." Chase nodded as he now approached Mads asking her what she wanted as he pulled out his wallet.

Mallory was looking up at the menu as I approached her. "Have any idea what you want?" I asked her.

She shook her head, still looking up at the menu. "There are so many options. What's good here?"

"Well," I sighed, now looking up at the menu. "The Cookie Monster Smash is phenomenal. And the Xtreme Chocolate sundae. They have the best milkshakes too. Or," I said now pointing to the right side of the menu. "They have every flavor possible in hard ice cream, but just chocolate and vanilla soft serve."

"Interesting." She nodded as she looked for a few more seconds before looking up at me. "What are you getting?"

"I always get the mint chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate sprinkles." I told her and I saw she gasped.

"So you don't even get what you recommended to me?" She let out a small laugh.

"I'm just telling you what's good!" I defended, a smile now on my face.

"Well that sounds good, so I think I'll get that." She told me as she now took out her wallet.

"No, no," I shook my head and she looked at me confused. "My treat."

"No, Drew," She huffed.

"You bought lunch," I reminded her. "Let me get this for you, please."

She sighed in defeat. "Fine. But I'm getting you next time."

"Yeah, whatever," I chuckled as I walked up to the window.

"Why didn't you pay for my ice cream?" I looked over and saw Austin ask JD as they stood there eating their treat.

"You didn't buy me lunch!" JD exclaimed with a mouthful of ice cream.

I chuckled as I shook my head at those two bickering. When the cashier was ready for me, I ordered for Mallory and I. I stood there for a moment as I waited for our ice cream, and I noticed Mads and Chase talking to Mallory. I smiled to myself as it seemed Mallory and Mads were really hitting it off.

"Here you go," The cashier grabbed my attention as she handed me the two ice creams. I thanked her as I took them from her. I put them down on the counter for a second and went into my wallet and pulled out a ten dollar bill, placing it in her tip jar.

I grabbed the ice creams and walked over to where my friends were. Austin and JD were already half way done and I had just gotten ours.

I handed Mallory her ice cream as I sat down next to her and the six of us enjoyed our ice cream for a minute.

"How is it?" I asked her quietly.

"Really good," She nodded. "Thank you so much."

I smiled down at her as I ate another spoonful of my ice cream.

"So, Mal," Mads started as she wiped her mouth with a napkin. "Are you coming tomorrow night?"

My eyes widened, knowing exactly what she was talking about, but I hadn't asked Mallory yet.

"Uh," Mallory paused as she looked up at me then back at Madelyn. "What's tomorrow night?"

"You didn't invite her?" Mads now questioned me.

"I-I forgot, I haven't gotten the chance yet." I defended. I really did forget, and I was planning on asking her, but I also wanted to check with everyone first to make sure it was okay.

"What's tomorrow night?" Mallory repeated as she looked between Mads and I.

Madelyn sighed as she playfully rolled her eyes. "Every other Friday night, we have a movie night. We pick a genre at random, then shuffle a bunch of those movies together until we land on one. Do you wanna join us?" She offered, explaining our scheduled movie night.

I looked down at Mallory, waiting for her response. She looked up at me and I nodded, letting her know I wanted her to join us.

"You guys really want me to join you?" She asked everyone and we all agreed in unison, letting her know that if we didn't want her there, Mads wouldn't have said anything. "Okay," She smiled. "That sounds fun."

"Awesome!" Mads cheered. "Rudy's hosting movie night tomorrow, so it should be interesting." She giggled.

"Yeah, no frozen pizzas this time." JD reminded us from the last time Rudy hosted movie night.

"What happened with frozen pizza?" Mallory asked us and we all couldn't help but laugh.

"The box told him to set his oven to 425°F and let the pizza cook for 20 minutes, and you wanna know what he did?" JD started and Mallory raised her eyebrows. I could tell she had no idea where he was going with this because if I didn't already know this story, I wouldn't have any idea either. "He thought the pizza. Was supposed to cook. For four hours and twenty five minutes."

"Huh?" She gawked. "W-Wha- how the hell?"

I couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction.

"The pizza was literally on fire and the fire department came and it was like a whole thing." Austin added.

"B-But none of you..." Mallory laughed in disbelief. "There were like eight of you and none of you remembered there was a pizza in the oven?"

"To be fair," I butted in. "I wasn't even there yet."

"I didn't even know Rudy put the pizza in the oven." Chase now said. "He kinda just disappeared for a minute. I thought he was taking a shit or something." He shrugged and we all started laughing.

"Yeah, so, moral of the story," Mads said in between laughs. "We don't let Rudy cook, especially while he's high."

"Oh God," Mallory laughed.

Our laughter died down and Austin brought up something else to talk about. Watching Mallory talk and laugh with my friends like this was so cool. She was so awesome and everyone seemed to really like her.

We sat there for about fifteen more minutes, and after we all finished our ice cream, we decided to head back to my place. As we were walking back, we ended up in the same order that we were when we were on our way there. Mads and Mallory in front of us, JD and Austin in the middle, and Chase and I in the back.

JD and Austin were caught up in their own conversation and Chase and I were talking about a video I saw online.

"Wait, so you and Drew got lunch today?" I heard Mads say and I focused my attention towards them to try and hear what they were talking about.

I saw Mallory nod her head before both girls looked back to see Chase and I staring at them.

"Like what you see?" Mads smirked. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." She said as both girls now giggled.

Chase and I looked at each other and he raised his eyebrows. "Look at what you've done." He pointed to the girls.

"What the hell did I do?" I questioned.

"Your girlfriend stole my girlfriend." He stated as if it were obvious.

"At least we have each other." I pouted as I hooked my arm around his neck, pulling him close to me and giving him a noogie.

"Fuck off, dude," Chase chuckled as he pushed me away, now fixing his hair.

We laughed it off and after a few more minutes of walking, we arrived to our apartment complex. We all headed up to my place where we spent the next couple hours listening to music, playing games, and having a good time as always.
