Ashley' POV

Aspen woke up crying. Blaze pulled back and walked towards the crib.

"Hey, my boy." He cooed him as he took him in his arms and kissed his cheek.

I smiled at them as I watched them. They looked so cute together. The best view in the world.

I placed my hand on Blaze's back leaning against his arm, looking at Aspen. Blaze kissed my hair while rocking Aspen gently. Aspen stopped crying.

"Good boy!" Blaze said. Aspen gave him a cheeky smile.

"My boy is smiling at his father." Blaze cooed him.

Aspen's smile widened as he looked at Blaze attentively like he understood what he was saying.

"Ashley, could you give me the bag?" Blaze pointed to the paper bag on the armchair. I nodded and went to grab the bag.

"My boy, Dad brought you a gift." He told Aspen as he pulled a teddy bear out of the bag and shook it in front of Aspen.

Aspen smiled as he raised his hands trying to catch the teddy bear. I burst out laughing by his reaction. My cute boy. Blaze chuckled as he gave him the teddy bear and kissed his forehead. Aspen hugged the teddy bear as tight as possible.

"He likes his teddy bear." I confirmed. Blaze nodded smiling while looking at our boy.

Aspen's eyes closed slowly. Blaze put him in his crib carefully without waking him up. I pulled the blanket over him and stroked his head gently. He was sleeping peacefully, still hugging his teddy bear.

Blaze wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he pulled me into his embrace. I wrapped my arm around his waist while I rested my other hand on his chest. He looked at me affectionately.

I pulled back as I heard voices coming from the hall. The door opened and James walked in. He put his phone into his pocket.

"Blaze, I didn't know you were home." James said, surprised.

"Yeah." Blaze muttered.

"How is Aspen?" James asked as he turned his gaze from Blaze to me.

"He is fine. Sleeping." I replied. He smiled.

"Then let's go before waking him up." James said as he turned around to walk out.

Blaze rolled his eyes at him, mimicking him. I gave him a warning look, trying to hold myself back from laughing. He shrugged his shoulders, giving me a reckless look.

In the evening, my family visited us. We had dinner together. We were talking while my father was talking to Aspen with a childish voice. Aspen started crying.

"He must be hungry." I confirmed as I stood up.

I took him in my arms and went to the study room. Aspen was crying non-stop, so I decided to go to the study. It was closer than my room.

I was breastfeeding Aspen when I noticed Blaze at the door. He looked at us affectionately.

"Sorry. I thought no one was here." He said as he walked in and closed the door behind him. I gave him a shy smile.

He walked closer to us and sat down in the armchair opposite me. I stroked Aspen's head, smiling. Meanwhile, I was still breastfeeding Aspen. When I lifted my gaze up, I saw Blaze was staring at us, pure of love in his eyes.

"I am a lucky man." He said, looking into my eyes. I smiled at him, flushing.

Aspen stopped eating and turned his head to the side. He smiled as he saw Blaze. Blaze smiled at him back as he stroked his hand.

"Daddy is here." I cooed Aspen, but he was staring at Blaze ignoring me. I smiled at him.

He had already adored Blaze. There was a strong bond between Aspen and Blaze. When he was near Aspen, he was just keeping on staring at Blaze, ignoring everyone beside him.

"Hey, mister. Just a few minutes ago, I fed you. You will look for me when you get hungry." I faked sadness.

Blaze chuckled as he said. "Aspen, Mommy is jealous."

I pulled my tongue out at Blaze. He laughed happily.

"Come on, let's talk to man to man." Blaze told him playfully.

He took Aspen in his arms as he winked at me. I smiled at him.

Blaze was making funny faces looking at him. Aspen was smiling, giving his full attention to Blaze.

Later, Aspen fell asleep in Blaze's arms. When I wanted to take him in my arms to carry him to his room, Blaze didn't let me.

"I will carry him." He said in a low voice.

I nodded in agreement as I walked towards the door and opened it.

Blaze placed a tender kiss on his forehead and placed him into his crib.

"Sweet dreams, my boy." He murmured softly and pulled the blanket over his body.

After watching him awhile, Blaze held my hand and placed a soft kiss on my palm. He entwined our fingers as he headed us out.

I was in the kitchen when I heard Aspen's cry. I rushed towards the living room. His teddy bear had fallen down. He was crying desperately while trying to take it.

"My boy." I couldn't hold my laugh.

I walked towards him and grabbed the teddy bear.

"Why are you crying, Aspen?" Patricia cooed him as she came.

"His teddy bear has fallen down." I informed, smiling as I gave Aspen his teddy bear. He immediately hugged it tightly.

"Aww, cutie." Patricia awed.

"He adores his teddy bear." I confirmed while looking at him, smiling.

"Yes, like he adores Blaze." Patricia added, smiling.

"Yes. Sometimes, I get jealous." I admitted.

"Yes, this little man ignores us when he sees his dad." Patricia said playfully, looking at him while smiling.

Aspen babbled while gripping the ear of his teddy bear.

"Hey ladies, don't be jealous." Blaze said, smiling while walking towards us, his hands in his pockets.

Immediately, Aspen looked around searching for him.

"Here we go again." Patricia exclaimed as we started laughing.

"Come to your dadda." Blaze said as he took Aspen in his arms, smiling at him widely.

Aspen leaned against him. Blaze placed a soft kiss on his head while rubbing his back gently. I was staring at them, smiling.

My treasures. This is real happiness.
