Chapter Eleven- Couple showered in piss- Devil’s grace on Demons

Blaise Anderson has charm. I couldn’t deny that fact. Live example was in front of me. Aunt Jen had a dreamy look on her face as she worshiped the boy with her eyes. The smile he displayed, almost swooned her. If she fainted, I was not going to help her. It looked like she had forgotten me, her own niece. The moment I had stepped on the porch, front door opened revealing my lovely Aunt but she didn’t spare me a look. Her eyes were glued to Blaise as if he was a Greek God.

When she finally acknowledged me, she squeezed me in a hug. But that didn’t last for long. Her attention was back to Blaise in less than a second.

“Your Aunt is amazing,” Blaise said from my side. I scowled.

Of course he’d find her amazing. She had called him everything I won’t call him in million years. Every praises had added another pound to his obese ego.

“Yeah, I know,” in a flat voice, I agreed with him.

“Sit here and let me bring you something to drink first. Dan will be down in a minute.” Aunt Jen said to Blaise and disappeared into kitchen.

I scowled at him when he looked at me with a smile. Amusement in his eyes was crystal clear. A crooked grin matched the mischievousness of those playful green orbs.

We didn’t say anything but only stared. Silence broke only when a skinny figure came downstairs. Dan looked similar, except for his new hairstyles. Back then, his hairs were spiky. Now they fall on his forehead. He smiled when he saw me but that quickly vanished when he looked at my side.

“Dan,” I stood up and walked to him catching him in a hug. He chuckled at my enthusiasm.

“How’s my little cousin?” He asked after pulling back.

“I’m fine but I’m not your little cousin. You are my little cousin.” I told him.

“Come on, look at you chipmunk.” He slung his arm over my shoulder.

“Hey,” I jabbed my elbow at his side. “I’m not chipmunk. My height is average.”

Dan stood at his 6’5 height. He had grown up like a bamboo and was still growing. I had to strain my neck to meet his eyes. He’s the tallest boy I’ve ever seen in my life. Let’s not forget, he can be a basketball player, if he doesn’t try to score ball with force of his eyes.

“Sure, and Ant is biggest land animal.”

“It’s an insect.”

“Still in kingdom animilia.” Before I could argue, his eyes landed on the boy I brought with me- a decision I regret with every passing second. “Who’s he?” He asked frowning. His eyes were narrowed, body tense.

“He’s Blaise,” I told him.

“Blaise?” he raised an eyebrow.

“Blaise,” I nodded.

“Blaise?”

“Yeah, Blaise Anderson.”

“Your boyfriend?” He guessed. I shook my head.

“No, he’s my friend only and not my boyfriend. Don’t state the impossible.”

“Yeah, a jock like him can never be your boyfriend.” He leaned towards me and mumbled in a low voice so only I could hear. “He’s too good looking for you.”

“How can you say that?” Blaise injected narrowing his eyes at Dan, challenging him. Clearly he didn’t hear the last part or a smirk would have been in place of rage.

“She will never date a player, a bad boy, or whatever.” Dan scoffed.

“I’m-“ Blaise stopped and shook his head. “I’m Blaise Anderson, Beryl’s friend only” he said. Dan seemed to relax which also relaxed me but Blaise spoiled it again by adding “yet”.

Dan was fuming. I gave Blaise a look to shut up. He followed with a shrug. He has a habit of getting on my nerves. Blaise stood a couple of inches shorter than Dan but still looked much more intimidating with his stiff posture and hard eyes.

“Hey Dan, I see you met Blaise,” Aunt Jen emerged from kitchen with a two drinks. “He’s such a nice boy.” She gushed and started praising him again unaware of the scowl on Dan’s face.

“Don’t be upset now Dan. Elena was not a nice girl. It’s good she is not in your life.” Aunt Jen said when she stopped her Worshiping Blaise Session.

“Not now mom,” he grumbled leaning his head back.

That’s at thing about Aunt Jen, she sometimes say things at wrong moment. Though Dan was acting a little out of character which spiked my interest in his love life. Not actually but I wanted to know about the girl who broke his heart, and of course the reason. Last time, the girl broke up because he only stared at her, creeping her out that she ran for hills.

“Fine. Show Blaise his room Dan.” Aunt Jen smiled. “Consider this your own home.” She said to Blaise.

What about me? I’m your niece, remember?

I knew which room was mine so Dan showed me my room first. I dumped my bags and decided to help Blaise, by following them, of course. Blaise complained about heavy bags he was carrying. He was tired from drive and wanted rest as soon as he hit bed. Dan seemed to extend his misery. He walked in snail’s pace. When we reached our destination, he chuckled saying the room was opposite side. Blaise groaned complaining about sore muscles. I felt bad but I was also tired. I didn’t offer to lift his bags. We followed upstairs and I believed there was no room for guests. Maybe there had been come changes since I last visited. It turned out the Dan had forgotten his way. “How can one forget way on his own home?” Blaise muttered at my side and I only smiled at him. Blaise was ready to pull his hairs as he couldn’t pull Dan’s once we were at the required room, which was the room next to mine.

Dan pulled me to my room and we flopped on bed leaving ‘pretty faced jock’ on his own.

“How was the journey?” He asked me.

“Fine. Just a little tedious.”

“I thought you’ll reach by night. You’re early today.”

“That’s because Blaise drove. I get tired driving and have to take several refreshments making me late. But with Blaise, he drove I slept.”

Dan scowled at the mention of his name. “What?” I frowned. Dan never acted like that before. He was mostly ignorant.

“He was just like him.”

“Who?”

“That boy Elena cheated with on me.”

“Oh!” I was shocked. She cheated on him. How can someone cheat on him? The pain on his face constricted my heart and I engulfed him in a hug.

“Will you like to talk about it?” I asked. I wanted to know what had happened. I wanted him to let it out.

“I won’t. But I will.” He said. “I was dating her for one complete month. And you know what the funniest thing is; she had only wanted him all along. I was nothing but a game for her. She wanted to make her ex boyfriend jealous. When she succeeded, she was back to him. She didn’t even say sorry. She threw everything on my face standing in arms of her boyfriend. He smirked at me. And she left with him leaving me to drown in my own misery.” His voice cracked by the end and I was almost in tears.

How could she do that to him? How could she do that to my cousin? She used him. How dare she?

“Hey! It’s okay.” I moved my hand in a circular motion on his back. He held me tightly in his arms. “You’re far better than her. She just doesn’t deserve you. You’ll find the nicest girl in the world.”

“But I liked her.” He murmured.

“You shouldn’t like someone like her. She’s not worth it.” I told him.

He gave me a bittersweet smile. “She said that she was going on date with her boyfriend, to the park where I first took her. We had wonderful time together. I had told her that it was best date of my life. She didn’t say that back to me. And now she tells me that she didn’t like that date with me but she will enjoy it with her boyfriend.” He was almost sobbing by the end and I didn’t want to do anything but to stab that girl.

His eyes were red with tears. I wanted to cry to. Tears were at brim of my eyes but then I thought of the best way to make him laugh.

“Hey Dan,” I smirked. He looked at me with a frown, hurt still etched on his face.

I ignored the slight pinch in my heart and wiggled my hands in front of him sending the boy in fits of laughter. He flailed on bed laughing hysterically while I sat on one spot only wiggling my fingers in front of me. His laughter made me laugh.

At dinner, Aunt Jen was again fanning over Blaise. At least Uncle Martin paid some attention to me. Dan was quiet. He was not himself. The Dan I knew acted like the craziest person in the world.

“So, how long have you two been together?” Aunt looked at me for the first time.

“Together?” I was bemused.

“Yeah, Blaise and you.” She said almost making me choke on my food.

“We’re not together. He’s just my friend,” I denied.

“But you two look like the cutest couple in the world. It won’t take you long to be a couple.” She said is so easily.

Blood rushed to my cheeks and I couldn’t even look at Blaise because of embarrassment. Uncle Martin jumped in defensive mode after that. He started throwing questions at Blaise. Mostly they were related to school.

After dinner, I went to bedroom with Blaise, keeping a small conversation. He parted when we reached his bedroom. “You must be really tired. Get some sleep. Good night,” I told him. He nodded and went inside. I reached my room, sleeping on my own exhaustion.

*

Next morning was rainbows and unicorns. I felt rejuvenated. After showering, I dressed in a pair of dark jeans, and a blue shirt. Waking up in a different felt kind of odd to me. I hadn’t visited this pace since past six months. It was only Aunt Jen visiting me.

She hasn’t changed over time. Neither has this place.

I knocked on Blaise’s room. No response came so I opened the door peeping inside. The room was empty.

Frowning, I walked inside to check the closet. If he had left overnight or with the rising sun, I was going to kill him. His intentions didn’t seem very ideal when Dan had harassed him.

Just as I was near the bed, a door opened revealing a very wet and half naked Blaise. He was dressed in nothing but a towel. His wet skin was glowing. Hard chest and strong abs were in High Definition view and I had to put every ounce of effort to pry my eyes off his skin. My cheeks burned.

I’ve stared abs of that boy over years, whose name I can’t quite remember at the moment, on facebook. But this live telecast was never my personal experience.

“What are you doing here?” He asked as I stared at the wall behind him.

He was standing about few feet in front of me. I couldn’t even calculate the distance. All my logics and reasoning had evaporated. I was left with a jumbled brain which was incapable of any coherent thoughts.

“I-I was just ch-cheking up on y-you.” I stuttered making him chuckle. My cheeks were flaming.

“O-Okay. I-I’m going t-to dress up n-now. If y-you want to s-see, y-you c-can s-stay.” He mimicked me. I could have scowled at him if I was not panicking.

“I’m going,” I squeaked rushing out of the room and slammed door behind me, leaning against it.

His laughter floated through the door sounded like music to ears. I shook my head.

No, no, no. What was I thinking? I guess I was still not feeling that good. I needed more rest.

With those thoughts in mind, I went back to my room and got under the covers waiting for sleep to take over me.

Why is that you can’t sleep when you want to do it most.

I opened my eyes and paced in the room. Sinful images of his naked chest flashed in my mind heating up my cheeks. Taking deep breaths, I reached for my phone and searched for Nick’s half naked pictures. Yeah, I remember his name now.

After spending five minutes of staring at the sculpted torso, I dared to get out of my room. When I passed Blaise’ door, the forbidden images swam in front of my eyes resulting to another blush. I spun on my heels to return back to my room by roar from my stomach forced me to go down and get something to eat.

When I reached downstairs, Aunt Jen was in kitchen preparing breakfast.

“Smells heavenly,” I sniffed walking to counter.

“Good morning Beryl,” she greeted me.

“Good morning Aunt Jen,” I smiled and sat on a stool propping my face on my hands.

“You were in Blaise’s room,” she said with a grin shocking me. My cheeks flamed again as his drool worthy form came in my mind. What drool worthy? I’ve gone nuts.

I never thought it’d be that uncomfortable to look at a half naked boy in front of my eyes. I’m never going to relieve this experience. If it happens to be Channing Tatum in front of my eyes, I’d swoon.

“N-No,” I stuttered and cursed myself. What was wrong with me? Why was I stuttering? I don’t stutter.

“Whatever you say,” she shrugged and went back to cooking. I groaned placing my head on counter letting my hands fall on hard surface.

“Good morning Jen,” a voice came and I straightened up.

“Good morning Blaise,” she said cheerfully. “Did you sleep well?” She didn’t ask me that.

“Yeah, very well,” he answered and sat at my side. He wore dark jeans like mine and a blue button down which matched my shirt.

“Wow, you have dressed up same. You two look like a cute couple.” She gushed and I wanted to bang my head against the counter.

Blaise chuckled and I was about to growl at him when there was another entry in the kitchen. Dan walked into room with a frown on his face.

“Come on honey, don’t look so upset.” I told him in a sweet voice. He gave me a funny look.

“At least you look better than before. Beryl has an effect on you.” Aunt Jen’s eyes gleamed with happiness as Dan took a stool and sat up.

He grimaced at me remember how hard he had laughed yesterday.

“What are you talking about Aunt? I have effect on everyone.” I said arrogantly.

“Yeah, everyone in dreams.” Blaise muttered.

I looked at him and smiled. “I’m getting an impression that you always worry about my dreams. Why? Because I’m always a part of your dreams?” The smirk on my face was unmistakable.

He seemed taken aback by my words. His gave me a look of complete surprise.

“Take a picture. It’ll last longer.” I said.

“What has happened to you?” He asked breathlessly. I rolled my eyes at his dramatic tone continuing to fill my stomach.

“She’s feeling evil.” Dan answered for me, returning to his usual self. His voice didn’t sound as sad as it was yesterday. This is the result of Beryl Effect.

“Evil?” Blaise looked at my cousin.

“Yeah, whenever she is feeling evil, she becomes arrogant.”

“I don’t,” my argument fell to deaf ears. Blaise looked at me, a look of admiration in his eyes.

“I’d like to see your evil side,” he mumbled.

“Oh! I’ll show you. Now come with me.” I slipped off the stool and pulled him. “Thanks for breakfast Aunt Jen. I’m going to show Blaise around the town.”

“What about me?” Dan asked as I was already walking to door dragging Blaise with me.

“Watch Mean Girls,” I shouted over my shoulder.

Once we were outside, I dropped his arm and asked him to get into the car.

“Where are we going?” He asked getting into driver’s seat.

“I’ll tell you later.”

“You are really acting… bold today.”

“I feel free around my family.” I shrugged.

“What do you feel around me?” His question threw me off guard.

I didn’t know answer to that. What did I feel around Blaise? I frowned thinking about it. Maybe I am a little too intrigued by him for some unknown reason. His eyes are really beautiful and his hairs are silky. And there is this deep voice. And let’s not forget his abs.

I shook my head. No, not that.

“I’ll tell you someday,” I said leaning back on the seat. “when I figure it out.”  I mumbled that part to myself. He didn’t say anything and drove in silence. He had a thoughtful look on his face but still he was concentrated on the road.

I pulled the thing out of my pocket and held it in front of me. Noticing there was movement, he glancing at me. His eyes fell on the egg in my hand and he frowned.

“What is that?” He asked.

“Bomb,” I answered staring at it.

“Ha ha, very funny.” He said drily. “Why do you have an egg with you?”

“It’s important.”

“Important?”

“Important.”

“Why is an egg so important to you?”

“You know why I’m here, at my Aunt’s home?”

“Because you missed her?” He guessed.

“Not actually. I’m here to cheer up Dan. His girlfriend deceived him.”

Blaise gave me a curious look and I explained him the story of my cousin. He listened patiently and even said a thing or two about Elena. Clearly, he didn’t like her either. I was fuming again at her reminder.

“So that was his story,” Blaise muttered when I finished.

“The story hasn’t ended yet.” I told him. “And you are going to like climax. Just drive as I ask you to.”

He threw me an amused look but followed my directions.

*

“Why are we walking?” Blaise whined.

“It’s a park. Do you want to drive here?” I said focusing on the couple sucking each other’s faces a few feet ahead. I didn’t intend to go further and decided it was the time. I stopped and so did Blaise giving me a questioning look.

“Look at that girl,” I said pointing at girl whose back was facing us.

“I never thought you were like that Beryl,” Blaise said with a crooked grin on his face.

“Shut up and watch carefully. Don’t look away.” I told him. He didn’t say anything but obeyed my orders. I didn’t expect him to.

“What now?” Just as the question was fired from his mouth, I launched the egg and it hit the girl at back of her head.

Immediately and turned around and started walking in opposite direction leaving a very stunned Blaise to enjoy the show.

“Hey,” I heard a shout. It was most probably Elena’s boyfriend who sounded angry.

Before I knew what was happening, there was a hard tug on my arm and I was forced to run with the person holding my hand.

“What the heck Blaise?” I shouted.

“He’s going to kill us.” He yelled and sprinted.

We were running in the maze of trees trying to get away from the angry boy. It was obvious the boy was no match for Blaise that’s why I left him there to deal with it but he had other plans. I could have just walked away and he could have
