Author's Note: Hello! It's Sophiya and IShipIt 2 here! And can i just say, I am so proud of the story?! I know that not many have read it, but those of you that did, really put it up in the ranks. And to be perfectly honest, we had written this thinking that it'd never be seen by anyone, but yet, here we are. So thank you guys so very much! Also, yes. We KNOW that we haven't kept up with it, but we had a lot of errors and plot edits to do, as well as i have a lot of work to do in my high school because, as many of my friends know, i am trying to get into Ringling College of Art and Design. Thusly, most of the following chapters are being written by IShipIt 2. Please comment as much as you'd like, just please don't comment plot suggestions, as we already have pre-written 79 pages worth of story that we both have little time to post on Wattpad or elsewhere. We also just wanted to let our readers know that in the following chapters, some PoV switches are going to happen. When there's a switch there will be this: "***" Separating it.

Now, On with the FanFic!

"You aren't even in control. You can barely control him, let alone-"

I opened my eyes. I was in a place I had always called the dreamscape. It wasn't like a lucid dream. In here, the only things that were dreamlike in this place were the entities that were inside of it. I was never really sure how it worked, I just knew that this is where many evil entities stayed. I didn't really come here often. The only time I came was when I was physically unable to leave. This seemed to be one of those times. The area around me was an endless black void, as usual. Usually I am alone in here. Today, it seems as if I can never be alone.

I watched silently as two other entities in front of me argued. They hadn't noticed me. Not long after, another entity appeared next to me. They looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place my finger on it. It took a bit, but they eventually noticed us.

"Who are you?" The man with negative colors and blue and red outlines asked.

I thought for a bit before deciding on what to answer. "Mirror." I stated rather bluntly. "And you all are?"

"Dark and Anti."

The girl next to me spoke before they had the chance to. She seemed to know more about them than they did about her, at least, judging by the confused looks on their faces.

"How do you know us? We don't know you at all." Dark said. He seemed rather calm for his expression.

The girl didn't respond. I began to zone out in my thoughts as they tried to get information out of the girl. Eventually, they gave up on questioning her and moved their attention to me.

"How and why are you in this world?" Anti's voice was glitchy, and his image distorted every now and again.

"I have no answer to that question." I was quite bored with the whole ordeal.

"Do you at least know her?" Dark pointed to the other girl.

"I'm afraid I do not." I shook my head. "I do not know why any of you are here any more than I do myself."

This conversation seemed to never end. It continued in circles was just a cacophony of the three of us arguing over who was more powerful.

"If you think you are so powerful, fight me then." I challenged the three. I was becoming inpatient.

Dark was the first to lunge. I quickly dodged out of the way. I wasn't too great at punching, but I could kick and also use my powers and small build to my advantage. Using my voice manipulation powers, I multiplied my voice so that there were multiple layers to what I said. I let out a high-pitched scream, and Dark covered his ears and winced. Not wasting more than a minute, I lunged for him, kicking him hard in the shoulder and knocking him down. I dodged out of the way as Anti tried to attack. I was rounding up to kick again when I felt my body begin to shatter. Normal Maru was waking up.

At least I don't run the risk of being humiliated by these guys.

(switches to Insanity's PoV: Font style: Amatic SC, which didn't show up. Go figure.)

I was confused at first. As the entity "Mirror" left, the other two continued this strange dance of violence, envy, and hatred. It was astounding that these two were wasting their time on something so trivial. So futile. Because no matter who won, no matter who controlled this empty void, it would always be just that: a void. There was nothing here to be controlled. Then it hit me, the cause for their futile squirmish: not control, but dignity. They fought to prove themselves strongest. And I would have joined, but then I thought better of it. After all, if I were to jump into a melee fight with these two, they would crush me with ease. So how can I win? How can I prove myself? Then I thought of it. I would wait for one to prevail, for even though this would mean that I would be fighting the strongest of them, he would be tired, having wasted his energy on the other.

So I waited. Dark lept into the air and slammed his feet into the place Anti had been mere moments before, and Anti appeared right behind him. Dark twisted around and swept his arm to the right, causing Anti to turn red and go flying off to Dark's right. So that is Dark's ability. Bodily Manipulation. Impressive. Dark used the very same trick to send Anti hurdling into the ground. He hit hard, but his image shifted and he was upright, staring a good distance away.

He then jumped up, higher than I had ever seen, almost a greenish dot in the distance, when he came shooting down and slammed his feet into Dark from behind. Dark was knocked over, but he wasn't going to be done any time soon. He rushed at Anti, using his ability to keep Anti from dodging. He swung his fist into the side of Anti's face, then released the hold he had on him. Anti raised a hand to his face, and when he looked at it, there was blood on it.

"Y-you made me bleed!" he said. His left eye lit up, leaving a green glowing trail behind it whenever he moved. "NO ONE MAKES ME BLEED!!!" he yelled, running at Dark at a speed I had never before seen, using his tendency to glitch to rapidly gain momentum. Yet as he rushed him, Dark simply stood there, smiling eerily. What on Earth could he possibly be smiling about? Then just as Anti reached him, the red and blue that normally surrounded his image seemed to become more distinct, and he stepped to his left and brought his fist swinging into Anti's gut. Anti rolled away, quickly jumping to his feet.

"I'll make you pay for that!" he said with a small trickle of blood leaving the corner of his mouth. And with that, he was gone.

I was beginning to rethink my decision to fight the remaining entity. After seeing what his capability was, I hate to admit, but I was a bit intimidated. Perhaps I should have opted to help Anti, and fought him instead afterward. Welp, it was too late for that. Anti had already left. Dark was the only one left. Here goes nothing.

And with that thought, I jumped out of my hiding place in the distance and ran at him, wishing that I could use my arms for balance. Stupid Serenity, keeping me under bond. But I couldn't do anything about that. At least, not yet. Not until I got in her head, and broke her down into insanity.

Before I knew it, I was close enough to deal some damage. I whipped around and came up behind him, wrapping the straps of my straight-jacket around him, picking him up, then slamming him into the ground. I kept ahold of him, and slammed my feet down onto his chest. I then let go and and jumped back, waiting to see what he would do next.

He glared at me, then ran at me, with his arm outstretched. Before he could get within range to use his ability, I took aim, then spat my ink onto his hand, hoping that would keep his ability encased. Instead, it had a rather unexpected result: it hissed and sizzled on his skin, and I could smell burning flesh. He yelled out multiple curses, then shook the ink off of his hand, which was raw where the ink had hit. I never knew I could do that! Then again, I had never been here with others, so I had never gotten to see how it would react to flesh. Interesting...

I jumped back farther yet, using the time he was looking over his hand to think of all the tactics I had ever seen or heard of. The one that stood out to me as most useful in this situation was one that was commonly used by wolves, where they would circle, just out of range, then jump in, inflict some damage, then jump back out of range of retaliation. I decided that for simplicity, I would call it "the hit-and-run."

While I was distracted with my thoughts he had come up behind me and slammed a fist into the back of my head, bringing my back to reality. I jumped away from him and hissed, assuming that this would serve as a warning to him. He clearly didn't get the message, as he came running at me again. This time I jumped back, and made a run for it, but he pursued. I wasn't quite fast enough to get away, as he was using his ability as a speed boost.

He was gaining on me. I figured there was no point keeping up the chase, as he would catch up to me eventually. So I whipped around, and he went from ten feet away to in my face in an instant. I spat ink in his face, causing him to scream. He stumbled away, making an attempt to wipe it from his face. I hissed again, hoping he would get the message.

"Stop fucking hissing and speak a normal demon. If I could barely land a hit on you, you clearly have more than near-human intelligence, so act like it!" He said. I was taken aback. Was my hissing... embarrassing to him? Or just disappointing?

"Noooooooo..." I said in a low whisper. My voice had even startled me. I had never heard it before, as this was the only time I had ever felt the need to speak, so I had never heard it before. It was hoarse and gargled, as if I had swallowed a cheese grater and held rocks in my throat. Then again, the gurgling sound was to be expected, since my mouth was full of ink. It seemed my voice had surprised him as well, for I received a look I had never seen before.

"What the fuck was that?" he said, wrinkling his nose in disgust.

"Me," I replied, plain and simple. This voice is gonna need some getting used to...

"Why the hell do you sound like that?" he asked.

I opened my mouth to let the ink pour out, collecting on the ground beneath me.

"That explains a lot..." he mumbled. "Who are you? Better question: what are you?"

"I am Insanity," I replied.

"So then what's your name?"

"Insanity."

"Are you serious?"

I stood and thought for a second. "InsanityInk."

"So who would you belong to-"

"I'm not a pet idiot."

"I didn't mean it like that... You are a form of Serenity's?"

"What?"

"You share a body with her, correct?"

"How?"

"How did I know? I just made the connection. Serenity - SerenityInk - InsanityInk - Insanity."

I just scowled at him. He was clearly smart, but this assumption was only simple logic. Anyone could have made that connection.

"Funny. Serenity knows about Anti and I, yet she never mentioned anything about you."

"She doesn't know about me. I am not real to her," I explained.

"Hm. Interesting. I've never met another one who's able to conceal themselves like this. Or perhaps you are just weak, and no influence on her?"

"Don't you fucking DARE call me weak!" I yelled at him, ink going everywhere.

"And just what are you going to do about it?"he asked, towering over me, since he stood with amazing posture, while I was hunched over to better protect my vitals.

I spat ink all over his front, but luckily (for him) it dripped off before it could burn his skin. Although it did what I needed it to do, which was serve as a warning, causing him to jump back to avoid being burned again. He ran back at me, a fight in his eyes. If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get! I jumped to the side and grabbed him with the straps of my straight-jacket, and decided my best bet in this scenario was to keep him restricted. So I pinned his arms to his side, pulled him closer, just enough to be in range. Then I did it. I spat full-on in his face. As he screamed in agony I kicked him again and again. But I felt my grip loosening. I was weakening. Serenity was waking up.

My moment of weakness was all it took for him to free himself, and he landed blow after blow on me. And I couldn't do anything about it. He had me pinned. Then I was gone...

(Back in the real world. From now on, the real-world PoV switches will be consistent to the entity used before. just a fair warning.)

I shot up, drenched in a cold sweat. My whole body was sore, but I had no clue why. I looked to my right, and saw Mark, still sound asleep in his own bed, snoring gently. He looked so peaceful, and kind of warm... I mentally face-palmed. What the fuck was that? I got up and went into the bathroom, and started splashing the cold water on my face. It felt good. What the hell was that? He's my best friend... isn't he? At this point I was confused more than anything. It's still early. I'm just delusional... that's it. I'm just tired.

I turned off the water and walked out. I picked up my phone and checked the time. 5:34? Huh. It's not as early as I thought. But I can only explain that... thought as being tired and delusional, right? I mean, I didn't fall asleep until past midnight.

I opened up my contacts and decided to call Cass. If anyone had advice, it would be good ol' Cass. It rung for a bit before she finally picked it up.

"Hm?"

"Hi Cass! You up?"

"No, I'm dreaming about rainbows. What do you want?"

"Just... someone to talk to, I guess."

"'Talk to'? It's like, three in the morning."

"Actually it's 5:37."

"Whatever smartass. It's still too early for this shit."

"Well, I kinda also need some advice."

"And it couldn't have waited till I woke up?"

"Cass!"

"Fiiiiiiiiiine," she sighed. "What is it?"

"So... say there's this guy, and we've been friends, like, forever."

"Where are you going with this?"

"Well, say I were to look at him all of a sudden, and I have a thought about him, that's a little... more than friendly?"

"Is it Mark?"

"What?"

"Is it Mark?"

"Wh-no."

"Jack, then?"

"No! Are you being serious right now?"

"As a cancer diagnosis."

"Well it's not either of them," I felt my face get hot. Stop that, face!!!

"Anyway, you wanted...?"

"What would I do, if this was happening to me?"

"I don't know, why are you asking for relationship advice from the singlest Pringle in existence? You know the only intimate relationship in my life is with anime characters!"

"I don't know, I guess just cause you've always had the answer, especially in high school."

"Well, relationships are one thing you can't copy off your friends."

I sighed. "Yeah, I know."

"Well, it's still too early for your bullshit. I'm going back to bed."

"M'kay. G'night Cass."

"'Night." And with that, she hung up on me.

I sighed, and plugged my phone back in. I was heading back over to my bed, when I noticed a human form creeping toward the door to the balcony...

I shrugged it off as Jack going out for some night air, and sat on my bed, deciding to watch Mark for a bit longer...

HO BOY THAT WAS A PAIN IN THE BUTT TO EDIT INTO WATTPAD. Well, i hope you all enjoyed anyways. As of writing this, i am EXTREMELY proud, and i can say the same for IShipIt 2. Also, keep in mind that at some point, there will be a Q&A, as well as the chapters will be longer. Just fair warning to events coming up! (Also, the art will be added/shown in later chapters, as i have too much to do right now to work on any of it. Thank you for understanding!)

See ya soon, SugarSweeties!
