The Bad Girl Sleeps In My Bed ❁ Chapter Ten



I've never been the type of a guy to go to parties. I just don't see the appeal of them and I don't want to risk my health just for one night of fun. You can have fun without damaging your organs and there's no need to consume alcohol, especially in order to be 'cool' so you can fit in with the popular group.

So why am I getting ready to go to a party?

I never thought I'd sink that low and go to a high school party but I can't say no to Hollie, now that she has agreed to go to prom with me. I might as well go to one party and see what the big deal is about them. I never said I'm going to stay there for a long time; I can just go for about an hour and then sneak home without Hollie noticing.

I'm basically wasting my entire Saturday night just to hang out with a bunch of drunken teenagers. I could be at home writing a song or watching Netflix but here I am, standing in front of a mirror to make sure I look presentable and all ready to head out. My parents weren't exactly happy when I told them I'm going to a party. I've been good my entire life and never let my parents down but this feels like I'm letting my parents down and I'm positive they're thinking I'm going to turn into a male version of Hollie and I won't succeed in life like I've always been trying. I guess they don't understand that you can go to a party without becoming addicted to alcohol or trying hardcore drugs. I'm just going to get a prom date. Wow, that sounds more pathetic than I thought.

I stand in front of the mirror and scan my outfit once more. I'm wearing a simple pair of black jeans, a gray sweatshirt and random black boots. I didn't want to bother with my hair so I just left it in a messy mop on the top of my head and messed it up even more to give a sexier vibe to it.

Oh, God, Levi please stop, you can't be sexy.

I take my car keys from my desk, check the address of the party on my phone and head out the door. Hollie is probably there already as the party has been going on for about an hour and a half. But since I'm so classy, I have to be fashionably late.

A king is never late, everyone else is just early.

At least that's what I tell myself every time I'm late for something.

I arrive at the house in about 15 minutes the street is already packed with cars. Some teenagers are stumbling across the road towards the beach and many of them are outside smoking, one or two are even passed out on the lawn. I step out my car and then I hear the extremely loud music playing. The lawn is filled with empty solo cups, random trash and food wrapping, cigarettes and all kinds of things that I don't even want to know about. I'm pretty sure someone is vomiting by the bushes right now.

I step inside and scrunch up my nose. The house smelled like alcohol and sweat, not the best combination. A bunch of people are on the dance floor, grinding against each other as usual. I guess I haven't missed out on anything in the past three years of high school since this is a terrible experience. Thank God I never have to come to a party like this ever again. Hopefully college parties are a lot better and people don't drink so carelessly like they do in high school.

I maneuver through the crowds of people towards the kitchen to get a drink but I'm stopped by some blond who grabs my arm and drags me to the dance floor. She starts grinding against my body and is way up in my personal bubble. I awkwardly stand there and don't know what to do.

My eyes lock with Diego and Hollie who are a bit away from me. Both of them are staring at me, amused expressions on their faces. Hollie is making random movements that I should grab the girls butt and touch her. I try to walk away but the girl wraps her arms around my neck.

"Where are you going, handsome?" she giggles, kissing my jaw and neck. "Why don't we have some fun?" she asks, dragging her finger down my chest. She looks up at me, biting her lower lip. Is this her way of seducing me?

Ew, get her away from me.

As I notice Hollie laughing at me, I take a look at her outfit. She's wearing a black body-con dress that stops at the middle of her thighs. Her hair is in loose waves and she has on a neutral looking makeup, finished with a pair of black strappy high heels. Once she stops laughing, she walks over to me and taps the girl on her shoulder.

"I'd appreciate it if you stopped grinding against my boyfriend as he's feeling very uncomfortable in your presence, thank you." The girl looks shocked at Hollie's words and walks away quickly. Hollie grabs my hand and we walk to the kitchen, Diego following us.

"Thank you for that," I chuckle. "I don't know what I would've done without your help, it felt so awkward to have the girl against me."

"You got some action, bro," Diego laughs. "Every guy would be excited if that happened to them."

"Yeah, well I'm not like most guys."

Hollie takes two red solo cups and pours some rum into the bottom of them. She adds some Cola to both of the drinks and hands one over to me. Diego grabs a beer for the fridge and opens it before the three of us walk outside to the patio.

We sit down on the chairs that are there. Diego grabs two packs of cigarettes from the inside of his leather jacket and hands one to Hollie. The two of them take out their cigarettes and light them. Once I take a sip of my drink, I feel the hard liquor burning the back of my throat but I try to push away the feeling, I don't want to look like a loser who can't handle one rum cocktail.

"You want to try one?" Diego asks, holding out his cigarette to me.

I shrug, "I don't know."

"If you want to, you can try one. The addiction won't start after one cigarette as it usually takes a while for the addiction to start. Besides, you might not even like the taste of the cigarette."

"How about he just takes one drag from the cig?" Hollie suggests.

"I guess I can try one," I murmur. Hollie scoots her chair over to me and hands me the cigarette. I take it between my fingers.

"Alright, take one drag of the cigarette and then inhale so the smoke would enter your lungs. You might start coughing so keep that in mind. After you've inhaled, just exhale the smoke."

"Got it," I reply, putting the cigarette in-between my lips. I inhale like Hollie told me to and once I feel it entering my lungs; I feel a strong urge to cough so I do so. Hollie chuckles at my reaction and I hand the cigarette back to her. "I have to admit that was pretty terrible, I don't know how such a pretty girl like you can smoke."

"You think I'm pretty?" Hollie asks, smirking.

I feel a lump rising in my throat. "Y...Yeah, I guess so. I mean...I guess everyone thinks you're attractive." I stutter over my words and Hollie ruffles my hair.

"You're so adorable."

"Never have I ever...had sex," A girl says. Most of the guys and girls groan and take a sip of their beverages. I look at Hollie who looks like she's debating whether to drink or not but finally she brings the cup up to her lips and drinks.

Obviously she has had sex. Look at her, boys are all over her all the time.

We were currently playing Never Have I Ever and so far, I've only had to take two sips of my drink. I guess those are the benefits of being a loser and staying home all the time. Not that I mind staying at home all the time, in fact I love it so much I'd rather be homeschooled than go to regular school.

"Alright, this is getting boring," Hollie states. "How about seven minutes in heaven?" She suggests and all the boys nod eagerly. Most of them are probably waiting to get put into a small room with Hollie against them so they could make out with her.

Hollie placed and empty beer bottle in the circle of the room and spun it hard. I don't know if she was aiming for it to stop on me or another random guy but I felt my heart quickening when the end of the bottle landed on me.

"I guess it's just you and I for the next seven minutes," Hollie winks and grabs my arm. She drags me to the closest room and locks the door behind us. She doesn't even set a timer for seven minutes; she just takes a few steps closer to me.

Before she even gets the chance to say something, I take the initiative and grab her face in my hands, softly placing my lips against hers. Her hands move to the sides of my stomach and she places them there. Our lips are together for a good 10 seconds before I pull away and peck her lips once again.

When I pull away, she looks at me with her eyes wide. "Damn, I didn't think you had it in you. I thought I would be the one to kiss you first."

"Shut up," I say and kiss her once again, this time more eagerly. Her hands instantaneously move to my neck, pulling me closer to her body. I keep my hands on her face as we kiss. I decide it's time I step up my game and I gently lick her bottom lip to turn it into a make-out session. She happily opens her mouth and our tongues clash together. She tastes like rum mixed with a hint of cigarettes and mint. It's not a bad combination at all, it's kind of intoxicating. We keep kissing for a little while and out of nowhere, I feel Hollie sliding her hands underneath my sweatshirt, making contact with my abs.

"Wow, the good guy works out. What a miracle, you don't just sit at home," she mumbles between the kissing. She keeps her hands underneath my sweatshirt for the rest of the time we're kissing. I feel small goose bumps appearing on my skin since Hollie's hands are cold but I push that thought away, only focusing on the kissing that's happening right now.

We pull away once we hear someone knocking on the door. "Your seven minutes are up. Get out now." Someone says and Hollie starts laughing.

We walk out and all the guys give me death glares. I turn to Hollie and notice her lips are swollen and her hair's a bit messy. She runs her fingers through her hair to make it all nice again and we head back to the living room.

Diego is sitting on the couch, a beer in his hand and he's looking at some guys who are playing Fifa. We walk up to him as he placed the beer onto the table in front of him and takes out a small packet that has white powder in it. He pours some onto the table and uses his credit card and makes a small straight line. Then he grabs a dollar bill from his wallet, rolls it up and pulls all of the powder into his nose. He leans back and closes his eyes.

"That's bad for you, Diego." Hollie says.

"Says the one smoking weed all the time," Diego retorts with a chuckle.

"Weed isn't as strong as cocaine."

"I know. That's why I'm doing cocaine," Diego laughs. When his phone beeps in his pocket, he takes it out and reads the text message quickly. "I gotta run, my client is here."

"You're not going to snort any of this cocaine tonight. I don't want you to overdose or anything like that. Give me the cocaine." Hollie states.

"Hols, I'm fine. Nothing will happen."

"Give me the damn cocaine, Diego Cavanaugh."

Diego groans and hands the cocaine over to Hollie. She grabs her leather jacket from the coat hanger and places the cocaine into her pocket

Hollie turns to me and smiles. "You wanna get Subway?"

"Lead the way, missy."

Hollie and I get back to my house around 4AM. We both walk inside my house and sit down. Hollie takes off her leather jacket and turns on the TV while I go to the kitchen and get two bottles of water and some snacks. I walk back into my living room and hand Hollie the water. She has turned on the TV and is watching Family Guy on Netflix.

"Thanks."

A sudden knock on the door interrupts our show watching and I walk to the door to open it. I see two men in black suits standing in front of me with very strict looks on their faces.

"Los Angeles Police Department, is Ms. Hollie O'Connor here?" They show me their badges and put them back into their pockets.

"Hollie, come here quickly." I yell and she walks to the door. She looks confused once she sees the two officers standing in front of her. I feel a heavy weight lifting off of my shoulders when I notice she isn't wearing the leather jacket anymore, therefore the cops won't find Diego's cocaine.

"You're under arrest for the possession of cannabis. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?" The two policemen take out handcuffs and put them around Hollie's wrists and tighten them.

They lead Hollie to the car and put her in the backseat of the car.

Then they disappear from my vision.


a/n: hello my lovely chickens! here's chapter ten, uploaded on a Sunday as promised. Btw I have to mention I'm not sure if I wrote the arresting part correctly, I tried to google it but I'm not sure how correct the info is that I got haha
