Chapter 47
Andrea's pov

"Why are you staring at me?" Was the first thing I said after waking up.

"Can't I look at my girlfriend? Especially after she sneaks into my bed in the middle of the night. I should be the one freaked out, not you." He smirks.

"You're my boyfriend. If I want to sneak into bed with you then I can." I defend myself.

"You're my girlfriend. If I want to stare at you then I can. Anyways, you were doing the exact same thing to me in Alabama." I'm reminded of that day.

"That was different. We..." I didn't know how to say it.

"Had sex?" He bluntly fills in the gaps for me.

"Yeah." I blush and hide under the covers.

"Is Andrea Parks blushing? I have to see this." He lifts the covers off of me exposing my body.

"I am not blushing. You know what, I'm leaving." I stand up to climb out the window but Zach stops me.

"You are not going anywhere. You obviously came here for a reason, so spill." He wraps his muscular arms around me.

"We're going to be late for school. I cant afford missing anymore days because if I do I won't be graduating." I say.

Zach and I hadn't really talked about what we would do after graduation. I had applied to both Julliard and UCLA and Zach had applied to UCLA and Stanford. Although we had both applied to UCLA, there was still this part of me that really wanted to get accepted into Julliard.

Music was my passion and I wanted to peruse it as a career. Mia and Ethan were both fine and so were Jonathon and Savannah since they both had applied to the same colleges and had similar hobbies and interests.

"We're not going to school today. You're going to sit here and tell me what's been bothering you." He sits me down.

"How do you know something was bothering me?" I was shocked at how well he could read me.

"Because you're speaking fast." Him and Mia both noticed these things about me.

"So...are you going to confide in Dr Cowen?" He jokes.

"You wish." I laugh then think how to start.

"You remember when Rhianna began threatening me?" I ask.

"Who could forget?" He replies just as Mia did.

"Have you been speaking to Mia?" I ask.

"No, why?" He looked confused.

"You just sound exactly like her." I laugh at how they were so similar.

"Anyways, when Rhianna began threatening me she also told me that Andrew had a kid." I didn't have the courage to continue.

"Zach, I have a brother." I say to him and it doesn't faze him.

"I know. His names Jake. He lives next door, in your house. He acts exactly like you. He's your brother for Christ's..." I stop him.

"No, you don't understand. I have another brother. A half-brother. Both Jake and I do." I tell him.

"Oh." Was his answer.

"Yeah, oh." I understood his reaction. "Anyways, yesterday I went to go meet him. He's twenty years old, a year older than Jake. He's in his second year at college but I don't know which college he attends. His name's Logan. Logan Parks." I continue.

"He gave me his number but I haven't called him yet." I show him the piece of paper I had been carrying around.

"So, what are you going to do?" He strokes my hair as I lay against his chest.

"I have no idea. I don't even think my family knows about him." I sniff his cologne as he plays with my wavy hair.

I hadn't really combed or done anything to my hair in a while and that could definately be seen but Zach really didn't care.

"Well I know what we could do to get this off your mind." He suggests.

"And what would that be exactly?" I listen to him carefully.

"We could go get food." I jolt up once I hear him say the word 'food'.

"You're driving." I get up.

"You're going looking like that?" He looks at my outfit.

I was still in my joggers and Zachs hoodie and my hair was a mess but I didn't really care.

"Do this face look like it cares?" I ask and he doesn't respond.

"Exactly, so get off you fat ass and start driving." I drag him down the hallway.

"My ass is not fat. You should know that." He winks at me causing butterflies to erupt in the pit of my stomach.

Even after saying for quite some time, I still wasn't used to his flirtatious comments.

"Are you coming or not?" I ask.

"Wait, let me just grab my keys." He says as he puts on some clothes as he was only in his boxers.

I let my eyes wander his body as he changed and in the midst of doing that he had caught me.

I avert my eyes to look elsewhere and I look back to see him smirking.

"What's funny now?" I ask.

"Nothing." He grabs his jacket and we leave the house.

We decided to take his car over his motorbike because we were having a 'lazy day' and because I looked like a tramp.

"You do not look like a tramp." He drives down the road.

"You don't need to lie, I know I do. I haven't combed my hair in a few days." I answer.

"Phew. I thought I had to say all that mushy stuff because I was your boyfriend." He laughs.

"Shut up and drive." I hit him playfully.

We finally arrive at McDonald's where not many people were gathered. Zach went to give out order during which Kylie had exited McDonald's bathroom.

"Why am I not surprised to see you here. You're always eating like a fat pig." She attempts to insult me.

"Then what are you doing here?" I fold my arms over my chest.

"I came to use the bathroom." She stutters.

"Why aren't you in school?" I ask her getting suspicious.

"Why aren't you in school?" She asks me.

"Because I just found out I have a brother and I always skip. So what's your answer." I say straight up.

"Umm....I'm leaving." She says and turns to leave.

As she turns around I notice a box which was labelled 'pregnancy test' sticking out her bag.

"What did she want?" Zach joined me as he passed me my meal.

"Nothing." I fib.

I didn't know why I was lying to Zach but I knew that if that was me in that situation then I wouldn't want anyone finding out either.

I wonder who the the baby daddy is?

With theories forming in my head of who could possibly be the father, Zach and I left the shop with our food clutched in our hands.

For all we know she could be buying a test for a friend or somebody else.

"Hey what's wrong?" He asks as we sit on one of the parking lot rails.

"Nothing." I say and open my Big Mac before diving in.

"You've got mayo on your face." Jr says as I munch on my food.

"Where?" I ask trying to wipe it.

"Here, I'll just do it." He grabs a napkin and wipes my mouth.

"What would I do without you?" I ask the rhetorical question.

"You'd probably end up being a hobo." He slurps his drink.

"True." I finish my food and we both drive home.

On arriving my house, I kissed Zach goodbye and entered my house.

"Andy, is that you?" Frank comes running to the door.

"Yeah it's me. What's wrong?" He looked worried.

"We've been worried sick all day about you. You didn't come home to get ready for school and you weren't picking up your phone." He explains.

"ANDREA WILLOW PARKS, GET YOUR ASS IN HERE." My mother screams.

"Good luck." Frank shows me a thumbs up and escapes.

"Don't leave me Frank." I shine and my mother approaches me.

"Where have you been for the past two days?" She asks.

"I know about Logan." I say to see if she already knew or not.

"Who's Logan?" I could tell by her expression that she already knew.

"You knew?" I raise my voice.

"Don't use that tone with me." She warns me. "I thought it would be the best thing to do for you and Jake." She sits down and begins to talk.

"I didn't want to be reminded of that life that I had with him. I wanted to move on and Logan was a huge reminder of him so I thought it was best to not tell you." She explains.

"But that wasn't your choice to make. It's up to us if we want to get to know him or not and now I've missed out on a whole 18 years without him." I say.

"I know that was selfish of me to do and I'm sorry for that. I didn't think of you guys and now I realise what a huge mistake I've made." She says what I wanted to hear.

"Please just promise me that next time you'll never hide anything from us." I hold my pinky out.

"I promise." She wraps hers around mine and we hug.

"Now I have to go to the bank to cash in some money." She grand her purse from the counter. "I'm really glad we had this talk Andy." She kisses my head and leaves.

"By the way, you need to do something about that hair." She points out and shuts the door.

Plopping down on the sofa, I notice somebody hovering from the other side of the room.

"Come out before I have to drag you out." My threats weren't that menacing.

Jake shows himself and comes to join me on the sofa.

"I'm guessing you heard all that?" I ask him.

"We really have a brother?" He asks in a serious tone.

"Yup. "

"Yessss. I've always wanted a brother." He punches his fist in the air.

"That's exactly what he said except he's always wanted a sister." I laugh at how similar they were.

"Tell me all about this brother of ours." He urges me to continue.

"Well, what do you want to know?" I ask.

"Name?"

"Logan Parks."

"Eye Colour?"

"Brown."

"Body type."

"Like yours."

"Height?"

"How am I supposed to know how tall he is?" I mentally laugh at how dumb Jake could be. "I didn't go up to him and say 'Hey I'm your sister. By the way how tall are you?'" I get that through his thick head.

"Approximately then." He rolls his eyes.

"He's taller than you." I smirk.

"Is he fitter than me?" He asks another stupid question.

"Your both my brothers. I don't notice these things on you." I scream.

"But if you had to choose..." He asks.

"Never. I would probably pick the homeless guy on the streets over you." I make it clear to him.

"Ok, I get it. You don't need to be so mean." He holds his arms ice his chest.

"Yes I did, else you wouldn't get the message." I eat my Oreos.

"Why are you always eating?" He steals one of my Oreos.

"Why aren't you?" I ask with crumbs on my hoodie.

"Because I'm not a fatso like you." I say to him.

"Have you seen this belly?" I show him my faint abs.

"No fair, I want to eat and not be fat." He whines.

"I'm sorry bro but God only gives the gift of being able to eat like a lot and not get fat to the chosen ones." I say another oreo.

"I don't care. I don't have a girlfriend so there's nobody to impress." He grabs the Oreo from my hand and gobbles it.

"Jake!!!" I throw the packet at him.

"Andy!!!" He throws grapes at me.

"Why are you throwing them at me? I want real food." I pick up the peanuts from the cupboard and throw it at him.

Next he had thrown an egg, I had thrown flour, jam, the peanut butter, whipped cream and the list goes on and on.

"Mom's gonna kill us." He looks t the mess in the kitchen.

"This is all your fault. If you didn't take my Oreos then we wouldn't be here dressed in food, not that I'm complaining." I like the whipped cream of my shoulder.

"Yours disgusting." He comments.

"Says the one licking peanut putter off his toe." I cringe at the sight.

"You guys are dead when your mother returns." Frank enters the room gobsmacked.

"It was his fault." I say and at the same time Jake point at me screaming "It was her fault."

"Why are you lying?" I give him the evils.

"You see this Frank? This is called acting." He blames me.

Frank looks at both of us trying to guess who the guilty culprit was.

"Andy, you're mopping the floor." Jake such a in relief once he doesn't hear his name.

"Don't begin celebrating. You're cleaning everything else and we're buying food from your money." Frank says and I laugh at him.

"Now both of you, stop arguing and clean this kitchen before your mother.." He was unable to complete the sentence.

"Before your mother what?" Our mom enters the room with a horrified expression.

"How was the bank dear?" Frank kisses my mom.

"It was closed." She says then turns around. "What have you guys done to my kitchen?" She shrieks.

"He started it." I point at Jake and we begin the conversation again.

**********

"I want to watch Mulan." I snatch the remote from him.

"Frozen." Jake pulls it from me.

"Mulan."

"Frozen."

"Mulan."

"Fine." He gives in and falls into a mood.

After our food fight in the kitchen, Frank and mom both forced us to clean the kitchen and then do something together that didn't require moving around as a punishment. I didn't know why my mother thought of This as a punishment since Jake and I both love hanging out with each other.

From a very young age, because we were both only ten months apart, we've both been very close.

Jake was there to protect me from the bullies and I was there to protect him from his. We still do hang out but just not as much as we used to because of him going college and me being a senior.

"Stop being moody now." I say and he doesn't speak.

"Fine, we can watch Frozen." I give him what he wants and he claps his hand.

"You're like a little child. How are you older than me?" That question was always in my head.

"Because I am, which means you have to listen to me." He snatches the remote from my hand.

"Who made that rule up?" I ask reclaiming the remote.

"Respect your elders." He gritts the sentence through his test as he pulled the remote from my grasp.

"Firstly, you're only ten months older than me and second of all you act like a two year-old." I throw a pillow at him.

"Hey! Play nice." Our mom enters the room.

"Yeah Andy. Play nice." Jake smirks at me.

"Mom, tell him to give me the remote." I ask her.

"Jake, give Andy the remote." He does budge and keeps it clasped in his hand.

"Mom, tell Andy I said no." He asks but my mother doesn't reply.

"Mom!" He frowns.

"What?" She asks innocently.

"Tell her." He points at me.

"Tell her yourself. You've got a mouth, don't you?" She walks out the room.

"But, but..." He gives up and throws the remote at me.

"I told you they love me more." I play the movie I chose and he shuts up.

During the movie, Jake and I didn't watch much rather we argued over what flavour popcorn to have. Once we had decided on the popcorn flavour, the movie had already finished and there was no point of watching it.

"You know, this is all your fault." He points at me.

"No it's not. If you didn't start arguing with me about what movie to chose then we wouldn't be arguing, would we?" I give up.

"Ok then. I'm sorry." He apologizes.

"I'm sorry too." We hug it out but as we hug the piece of paper falls out.

"What's this?" He picks it up.

"It's Logan's number. I haven't used I yet though." I respond.

"Do you want to call him?" He asks.

"I do, but what do we talk about. I can't just call him so abruptly." I say.

"He is our brother. I don't think he would mind." Jake says something intelligent.

"Why don't you invite him to your graduation ceremony. Isn't that in a week or so?" He suggests.

"Should I?" I ask for his opinion.

"Its completely your choice. But if you want my opinion, I don't think we should let that prick of a father be the real reason why you're not calling him." Jake knew me too well.

I picked up the phone with one hand and held the piece of paper in my other hand.

Dialing the number, I held the phone close to my ear ready to speak.

Unfortunately, it went to voicemail so I was left with the choice of leaving a message.

"Hey Logan it's your sister, Andy. I didn't think I would call but somebody encouraged me to pick up the phone. I was wondering if you wanted to come to my graduation next week. I'll send you the details but you don't have to come if you don't want to. It's completely your choice but I would really want you to be there." I finish speaking.

"By the way this is your awesome brother Jake speaking. You better come to Andy's graduation or else I'll..." I shut the phone before he could say anything more stupid.

"Why'd you do that for?" He whines and I get up to leave but Jake throws something at me.

"Oh, Game on Brother." I laugh mischieviously ready to take him down.
