Chapter 41
Andrea's pov

"I'm telling you, she's trying to get us to break up." I continue telling Jonathon about the new barbie in town.

"She probably just misses her best friend." He defends her.

"Are you on her side or mine?" I ask once I skate down the ramp.

"Yours of course, but what I'm trying to say is..." I intervene before he could complete that sentence.

"Exactly, which means you share my thoughts and opinions." I quickly reply and continue to rant about Kaitlin.

For the past two hours I had been here at the skatepark instead of being present at fifth period buisness class with Mr Sanchez.

I wonder how many abscences I have?

The whole reason I had come here was because I had to let off some steam which could only be done by skating. Alongside I needed somebody to talk to.

Currently, Jonathon had been defending Kaitlin in every aspect as he could. I know some mean girls do it for a reason and genuinely have feelings, like that girl in the wattpad book 'The girl he left behind'. But some girls like Rhianna and Kaitlin and especially Kylie are just mean. There's no two ways of looking at it.

As I was about to open my mouth and speak to Jonathon, someone had beat me to it.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Andy Parks." I hear Max's voice.

Max was one of the obnoxious boys who used to hang around at the skatepark, mostly with Jonathon.

"What do you want Max? Can't you see I'm busy?" I say slightly annoyed.

"Shouldn't you be in school right now?" He lifts a brow and asks.

I swear, this boy reminds me of Zach.

"Yeah, what's your point?" I place my hand on my hip waiting for his reply.

"Oooh guys, we've got a bad girl among us." He says to his friends.

"More like a Tomboy, dude have you seen her clothes?" One of his friends speak.

I would say that what I was wearing today was decent. I was in a crop top, some Nike joggers, Nike trainers and a cap. My normal workout attire.

"You want to repeat that and say it to my face?" I too lift a brow and he shakes his head. "I thought not." I give him an evil smile.

"What do you even want Max?" I ask why he was suddenly interested in me.

"Well, I'm actually here to see if you're free this Friday night?" He smirks at me.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" I place my hand over my heart trying to act flattered.

"And if I am, what would you say?" He says.

"I would say, you better scurry because my boyfriend is walking over here right now." I look behind them to see Zach walking over.

"I'll take that as my cue to leave." Max quickly mutters and he and his friends leave as I wave them a quick goodbye.

Turning around, I mouth 'wish me good luck' to Jonathon before heading towards my boyfriend.

"Where have you been all day?" He comes up to me with a worried expression.

"No 'Hello' or 'How are you?'" I ask smiling at him.

"I've been worried sick about you. Why weren't you at school?" He says.

"Why would you be worried? You know I bunk school." I ask

"That doesn't answer my question. Why weren't you at school?" He demands an answer.

"Oh, I was sick." I say then let out a fake cough.

"Andrea" He says quite sternly.

"I don't know why you're so worried. I skive all the time." I repeat.

"Can't your boyfriend be worried about you?" He cups my face.

"Once or twice, yes. But not all the time." I say.

"Andrea, have you ever had a boyfriend?" He asks.

"Have you met Cole?" I answer truthfully.

"Apart from that cheating scumbag?" He repeats the question.

"Not that I know of." I dwell on the matter for a little while.

"Well in a relationship, partners are always looking out for one and other. Which means that it is my responsibility to worry about you and vice versa." He advises me.

"I think I get it now." I play along. "You want to try again." I ask as he nods.

"Andrea, I've been worried sick about you." It wasn't Zach's voice that said it but Kaitlin's.

I look over to see Kaitlin leaving Zach's Rolls Royce and walking over to us.

"What is she doing here?" I ask trying not to sound rude.

"She was really worried about you." Zach says as if he believed her.

"I bet she was." I mutter under my breath and put my arm around Zach.

"Andy, I was wondering where you were. I didn't know that this is where you would come." She says looking around.

"Andrea loves to skate. That's one of the many reasons why I love her." Zach says.

"How cute." She looks at me and gives me an evil glare.

"You are free to leave if you want, because I am going to stick around a little while longer." I try to get rid of her.

"You sure? You could just come home with us." Zach asks.

I meant that she leaves, not you.

"No, I'm fine. I just need some fresh air." I resist the urge to pounce on Kaitlin and rip her throat out.

"Ok babe. If that's what you want." He pecks me and just as he was about to let go, I pull him in and deepen the kiss.

"I like sick Andrea." He winks at me and I wave them goodbye as they both leave.

The next hour just consisted of me, Jonathon, Max and couple of his friends skating with one and other. This was exactly what I needed since I had forgotten completely about Kaitlin.

I hadn't made an effort to get dressed for school so I wore the exact same thing again.

Zach and I had rode to school together, as always, in his car this time. He did comment on my clothes until I told him to shut up, which he did.

"Are you feeling better?" He asks as I give him a confused look.

"You weren't feeling well yesterday. Are you feeling better today?" He asks.

"Yeah. I'm feeling much better." I smile at him as we reach the school's parking area.

After parking the car, we both get out from the car and head over to the others.

Mia and Ethan were both making out as poor Savannah just sat there waiting for somebody to save her.

"Thank goodness you showed up." She runs over to me and hugs me. "They've been doing this for God knows how long." She exaggerates.

"Don't worry, I'm here now." I hug Savannah.

"Stop being so melodramatic and tell me why you didn't show up yesterday?" Mia crosses her arms over her chest.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I point to her cleavage and Ethan ogling her like she's a piece of meat.

"Stop avoiding the question." She unfolds her arms and demands an answer from me.

"I was sick." I say and quickly run to class before she could get anymore information out of me.

The first few lessons flew by, mostly because I slept through two of them. The entire time all I was waiting for was lunch.

The bell finally rang and I walked down the herded corridor, ready to eat.

Mia and Savannah too were hungry, by the looks on their faces I could tell all they wanted to do was eat. However before any of us could step foot into the cafeteria, Rhianna stops us.

"Move out the way before my fist makes contact with your face." I politely ask her to move and back the fuck away.

"Now why would you do that. All I want to do is talk." She looks at me.

"Let's just leave her. " Savannah says but I stop them.

"You two go ahead. I'll be there in a minute." I inform them.

"You sure?" Mia asks and I nod my head.

As they leave, Rhianna links her arms with mine and we walk towards the girl's bathroom.

"What do you want Rhainna." I let go of her arm.

"I want you to stay away from Zach." She stumbles slightly.

"And why would I do that? He's my boyfriend." I wasn't going to let her get to me.

"Well if you don't, I might just have to do something you don't like. She glares at me.

"Bring it on. I'm not scared of you." I was about to leave but she speaks again.

"Andrew Parks." She says a name which causes to me to stop and lock the bathroom door.

"Does that name ring a bell?" She asks.

"How do you know that name?" I ask feeling slightly inferior.

"Your father isn't he? Well daddy dearest has just employed a new employee who goes by the name of Andrew Parks." She walks closer to me.

"He's here?" I ask frightened.

"Yes. With his wife and children, but he doesn't live in our area." She looks at me and all I could feel was hurt.

How could he do that to us?

"I have siblings?" I ask hoping the answer would be no.

"Yes. You have a half-brother. Around twenty years old. The others are his step kids." She informs me.

How could he be Twenty? Unless...

"If you don't stay away from Zach then I might just tell Andrew where you live and perhaps where his dearest children go to school." She threatens me.

How can someone be so cruel?

"Ok, I'll break up with Zach." I couldn't do this to my family. We were finally happy, for once.

"No." She grabs my arm as I go to unlock the door. "I don't want you to break up with him. I want you to make him fall out of love with you. I want you to stay away from him and slowly he'll get tired of running after you and I'll be his shoulder to cry on. I want you to know how it feels to be rejected by someone." She walks closer to me.

"Okay." I open the door to leave but she grabs my arm once again.

"And if you even think twice then just look at those scars your father left. That might be a good enough reminder." She smirks then let's go of my arm.

I walk out the door and immediately I run into someone.

"Sorry." I apologize to whoever I ran into without looking at them.

"Andrea, where have you been?" Zach looks at me.

"Oh, I was in the bathroom. I try to wipe the tears away that I didn't even know were there.

"Okay. Look lunch is nearly over, let's quickly garb some food before the bell goes." He says and he leans down to kiss me but all I could think about was what Rhianna had said.

"No, I don't think I'm hungry. I'm going to go get some air." I dodge his kiss and walk off.

"Andrea." He screams but I pretend not to hear it.

I continue to walk away and when I get to the end of the corridor, I see a glimpse of Rhianna leaving the bathroom and clinging onto Zach's arm. It looked like her plan was already working.

Running towards the school entrance, I continue to cry and by the time you know it, my top is soaked in tears.

After everything we've been through, I thought that Zach and I would finally be able to be together. But I couldn't hurt my mother like that. She's had it far worse than me and if 'he's' here then I don't even want to think what would happen.

And I have a Brotherr? He's twenty years old. That's how old he is. Was he having an affair all along?

If I stayed with Zach then my mother would find out about this. I couldn't hurt her like that.

I was about to leave school through the enterance, until I heard Dean Briggs' voice.

I ignored what he had said and quickly texted Mia and Savannah a quick 'SOS' meaning that I needed them.

I waited patiently for a little while longer until I saw the pair of them jogging down the stairs.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Mia ran over to me and asked.

"I need to go home and I didn't bring my car. Can you guys drive me home?" I beg.

"Sure. Andy, what's wrong?" Savannah asks, concerned.

"I just need to go home." I cry into her and they both take me home.

The drive was quite. I could see the pair of them glancing at each other through the rear view mirror but I ignored it and just wiped my tears with my drenched sleeve.

As we reached home, Mia parked her car in the spare parking space in our driveway.

Pushing down the door handle, I opened the front door and began to make my way to my room. I quickly retraced my footsteps and called out for my mum.

"Mum?" I ask.

"Yes, dear? She asks.

"If Zach asks about me or tried to visit, can you just tell him I'm busy?" I ask for a huge favour.

"Why? Is everything alright?" She comes closer.

"Yeah everything's fine. Can you just do that much for me? Please." I look down so she couldn't see my face.

"Sure sweetheart." I could see her and Mia whispering to one and other but ignore them and run to my room.

Rapidly, I close the blinds to my window so that Zach couldn't see me or talk to me.

"Andy, tell us what's wrong we're here for you, no matter what. You know that, right?" They both hold my hands.

"I can't do this to them." The years just began to fall.

"To who, Andy?" They ask.

"To my family. I can't do this to them. I've already put them through enough and now we're finally happy. I can't ruin this for them." I knew it made no sense to them.

"Start from the beginning, Andy." They both wrap their arms around me.

"Andrew Parks. He lives here now." I tell them.

"How do you know that?" Savannah asks, wiping my tears.

"He works for Rhianna's father. And guess what?" I say.

"What?" Mia asks hesitantly.

"I have a half-brother. Yup, he's twenty years old." I inform them.

"Andy." They comfort me.

"Rhianna said that if I don't stay away from Zach then she'll tell Andrew where we live and where Jake and I go to school. If he finds out then God knows what he'll do." I say frightened.

"What are you going to do?" Savannah asks.

"I have no idea." I didn't know what to do but I did know one thing for sure.

I was screwed.
