Chapter 33
Andrea's pov

"Finally!!" I scream out of excitement. "I can't wait to get on that plane today." I pack my school bag and sling it over my shoulder.

"That's if we can get out of this hellhole fast enough." Mia sighs.

We had just finished our final exam and were ready to leave for California this afternoon. Jonathon still had no idea that he was coming which was why we were going to surprise him before we left.

"I can't wait to go to Disneyland and your birthday is going to be epic especially with us being in Cali and all." Mia continues.

"Do you know what you want to do for your birthday?" Zach asks.

"Not really. I just want to celebrate it with you guys." I say truthfully.

"Don't say you've gone soft on us?" Ethan teases.

"Don't worry I still think you're a dick who has a dick of a best friend...so nothing's changed." I laugh.

"Anyways, what time do we need to be at school with all our luggage?" I inquire.

"I think around 12 since our flight is around 3." Mia remains uncertain.

"That's only 2 hours. I haven't even started packing." I worry.

"Don't worry, Savannah and I thought we'd come over to yours and help you out since we already know how unprepared you are." Mia suggests.

"What would I do without you?" I say hopelessly.

"Probably fail at life, fall into depression and die." She jokes and hugs me.

"Dude, your girlfriend is all over my best friend." I hear Zach whine.

"Dude, your best friend is all over my girlfriend." Ethan mimics Zach.

"Who told you she was your best friend? Only I can be her best friend." Mia interrupts them both.

"Andrea told me last night." He smirks at me.

"No I didn't." I try to fib.

"Andrea, didn't your mother teach you not to lie?" He answers.

"Well I bought her a guitar." Mia starts.

"I bought her a plan B skateboard signed by Rodney Mullen." He states.

"He did?" She looks at me with wide eyes.

"He did." I answer her.

"Well I've seen her naked. Top that." She laughs.

"Won't be long until I do top that." Zach winks at me until Mia grabs my arm and pulls me away.

"This isn't over." She screams. "Savannah hurry up, we're going to Andy's." She screams once more and pulls Savannah with her other arm.

After a long speech from Mia about how she will always remain her best friend and after me calming her down we finally reach my room.

"So what do you want to take?" Savannah asks.

"Well since we're only going for a couple of days some hoodies and sweats would do it." I speak my mind.

"What about your birthday? You have to wear something nice." She says as she looks at my clothes.

"Ok you pick out something for me to wear on my birthday.....Not a dress!" I warn her and leave her to it.

"As for you..." I look at Savannah.

"We need around a few Calvin Klien Bras, same with undergarments, a few tank tops, some hoodies, sweats and jeans and maybe some shorts." I say in one breath. "You got all that?" I ask.

"Not one thing so get off your lazy ass and help me." She pulls me up and we continue packing.

Moment's had passed and Savannah and I had packed mostly everything all we had left was my so called "Birthday Outfit".

"I found it. I didn't even know you had this." Mia says as ah pulls the outfit out the closet.

"That's actually not that bad." I speak the truth and shove it in my suitcase before trying to shut it.

Keyword: trying.

"You need some help there ladies?" I hear Zach say.

I look behind to see him and Ethan in his room amused by our tactics. I don't blame them, if you saw two girls sitting on a suitcase while one tried to shut it I would burst into laughter.

"If you're going to help us, hurry up. Don't just stand there." I gesture them to come in the room.

Zach leaps into my room while Ethan stands in Zach's room looking mesmerised.

"How did you do that? It was like you were Tarzan or something." He looked like he had just smoked pot.

"Stop being such a baby Ethan and just hurry up." He calls him.

Ethan tried his best to come into the room but finally chickened out and used the normal method of walking through a doorway.

"Did you find your balls on the way up?" I tease.

"Do you want us to zip your suitcase or not?" He tries to gain the upper hand.

"Zach's already done it." I stick my tongue out at him.

"Guys, I just remembered. We haven't even told Jonathon he's coming with us and we need to set off in a half hour.

"Oh shit." I say out loud.

"Maybe we should go now. Like now now." Savannah conjectures the idea.

On hearing that we all run out the door and jump into Ethan's car.

The very small journey consisted of all of us nagging Ethan to hurry up and step on it. We went to the extreme of driving past a 'STOP' sign but luckily didn't get caught.

On reaching Jonathon's house we raced into the house and ran to Jonathon's room.

"Surprise!" We all scream as we barge into his room.

"Guys what are you doing?" He laughs as he removes his headphones.

"Hurry up, pack some stuff your coming Cali with us." I say bluntly.

"What?" He says confused.

"I..Booked...You...A...Ticket...For...You..To...Come...California...With...Us. " I say slowly taking breaths between each word.

"Have I told you how much I fricking love you?" He hugs me.

"Don't worry, I love you too best friend." I pat him playfully.

"First him, now him too. Who isn't your best friend?" Mia says loudly.

"Chill, Mia. You're all my best friends. Now come on we need to help Jonathon pack." I say rolling up my sleeves.

"Oh don't worry about that. I already packed him a bag." Savannah finally speaks.

"So why did you make us rush all the way here?" I scream.

"It was your choice." She laughs.

"There's no point in arguing. We need to be in school in ten minutes." Mia cleares the air for us.

We all quickly carpool back to each of our houses where we grabbed our luggage, said our goodbyes and celebrated on finally getting some time away from home.

By the time we had reached school, most of the people had already been seated in the coaches. Since Jonathon wasn't a student at our school we had begged our principle to let him come on this trip with us but he didn't have to pay for any expenses.

"You guys are late!" Dean Briggs says with a raised voice. "Go get registered." He says as someone comes to grab out luggage.

"Come on Mia, I've found some good seats for us at the back." I call her.

"Andy, is it ok if I sit with Ethan, it's just that we haven't been spending that much time together lately..." She begins to go of on a tangent.

"Go, before I change my mind." I reply.

"Don't worry Andrea. You can share with me." Zach grabs my hand and pulls me down onto the seat beside him.

In front of us were Ethan and Mia whom I presume were making out. And on the left of us were Savannah and Joanthon talking just like any normal couple does.

The coach fills with more people minute by minute until I see Rhianna walking into the coach like as if she's a runway model.

"I normally sit there." She walks up to me.

"Does I look like I give a shit?" I retort.

"You don't get to speak to my best friend like that." Kylie says.

"You mean the girl who made your life hell in sophmore and junior high. The girl who made you go anorexic when you just started Volleyball. Well you can tell your 'Best Friend' to beat it." I get a little too worked up.

"Are you going to stand there and let her speak to me like that?" She turns to Cole however before he could say some rubbish Dean Briggs had already beat him to it.

"Can you guys please take your seats. You're holding us all back." Dean Briggs looks at them befire that walk away in defeat to the remaining seats.

"Finally." I mutter.

"Are you alright?" Zach whispers.

"I'm fine. I'm always fine. You know I'm fine." I plug my headphones into my phone.

"I didn't ask if you were fine. I asked if you were alright." Zach smirks.

"Do you want to listen to music or not?" I bribe him to shut up.

He takes the other wire and fits it into his ear.

"231..232..233..234" Mizz Gomez counts us as we get off the coach.

"Andrea. Hurry up, we need to get of the coach." Zach continues to shake me.

"Ok.Ok. I'm getting up." I say as I look around.

The only people who were left on the coach were the six of us.

"Guys get of your fat, lazy asses and get up." I wake them all up.

We finally got off the coach and followed Mizz Gomez into the airport where everybody had already been waiting.

After gathering photo identification, ensuring that our luggage met airline requirements, checking in at the airline desk and going through security we finally reached our gate.

"I forgot how much effort travelling takes." I fall into the terminal seat.

"You literally just went to Alabama with Zach two or so weeks ago." Mia laughs.

"Yeah but Zach did all the work." I take out a lolly and suck on it.

"Hey, give me one." Jonathon cries and I throw him one.

"Me too." Mia follows.

"And me." Savannah says.

"Don't forget me." Ethan smiles.

"Don't you want one?" I look at Zach.

"I'll share the one that's in your mouth. That reminds me, it's my turn." He attempts to take the lolly out of my mouth.

"Urghh, it's them again." Hannah sneers at us as they take a seat oposite to us.

"Just ignore the rodents." I tell myself.

"You want to know what Cole and I did for Christmas, Rhianna?" Kylie says loud enough for us to hear.

"After he took me to the winter wonderland, we went for a long walk in the snow and then we went to Cole's since his parents weren't home....." I thought she wouldn't be able to break me but she did.

"What is your problem? You got Cole, what else do you want? Do you want me to cry? Or sob about how I lost the love of my life? Well guess what I didn't. Instead I want to thank you Kylie, for sleeping with my boyfriend. Because if you didn't I wouldnt have found true love and Zach and I wouldn't have started dating." I say and unknowingly add on the last part.

"What In the world did she just do?" Mia says loud enough for me to hear

"If you really are dating then prove it. Kiss her." Rhianna folds her arms over her enlarged baloons on her chest.

Zach and I turned to face each other and I grabbed his face. Just when I was about to kiss him the announcement came on.

"Can all passengers of flight 2343 please begin to board the plane. I repeat flight 2343. Thank you and have a wonderful day." I presume the flight attending says.

"Come on students. You heard the man, move it." Dean Briggs ushers us all towards the plane.

Grattitude. That's all I felt. Not relief or anything else, but gratitude.

If that announcement didn't go off then I have no idea what I would've done. Actually, I know exactly what I would've done. I would've kissed him and I wouldn't have thought twice about it.

I clear my head and quickly follow Mia who's about to board the plane.

I look at my seat number to see that it read G3.

I continued to walk down the narrow path and stopped once I reached my seat.

"Hey Andy do you mind if I swap places with Zach. I want to sit with Ethan, it's out first plane ride together." She asks.

"Yeah. Sure. Whatever. I don't care, you can switch." I say as I wasn't really in the mood.

I get comfy in my seat until I see Zach standing beside me putting his rucsack in the overhead cabinet causing his shirt to slightly lift.

Stop looking Andy. You can't be looking at his abs when you were ready to kiss him half a minute ago.

I listen to my subconcious for once and look away.

"Hey, so about before..." Zach begins.

"Can we just forget about that? Like erase it from our memories forever." I emphasise on the last part.

"That was exactly what I was going to say." Zach gives me a tight smile.

"So does that mean I can use you as my pillow?" I give it a try.

"I should've seen that coming." He smiles and I place my head on his shoulder.

"Let's play 20 questions." I suggest.

"Why? You already know everything about me." He laughs and opens a packet of skittles which I instantly grab a handful of.

"To pass time. Ok, let me start. Favrouite food." I ask.

"Tapas. You?" He returns the question.

"Pizza. What's tapas?" I ask popping another skitle in my mouth and moving my head to his lap from his muscular shoulder.

"It's hard to explain. It's served with cheese, olives and fried baby squid and its served at bars as a a snack." He tries to explain it. "Moving on. Favrouite colour." He says.

"Teal. You?".

"Green.".

This continued for an hour or so until I fell asleep on Zach and woke up when we landed.

"Wake up. You don't want to get left begind on the plane now, do you?" I hear Zach's deep voice echoing.

I yawn and stretch before getting off my seat and following Zach out the plane.

I give a quick "Thank you" to the air hostess and exit the plane.

"I want you guys to register yourselves quickly and get on the coach. It will be leaving in ten minutes, with or without you so you better make it fast." Dean Briggs announces asdirects our luggage to the coach.

By the time we had got on the coach, rode to the hotel and reached the actual hotel, it was 9:00pm.

We entered the hotel and the same procedure was followed, except this time we had to find our roommate.

Luckliy, Mia and I were sharing but I wouldn't be surprised if she swapped with Zach.

Zach was sharing with Ethan and surprisingly, Kylie was sharing with Savannah.

However, she had told her that she could have her own room and that she would be sharing with Jonathon.

I wonder how Dean Briggs is going to react when he finds out about this.

After waiting in the lobby for a long period of time, we finally find our rooms.

Coincidenatally, all our rooms were on the same floor.

Mia and I were in room 201.

Zach and Ethan were in room 202.

And Savananah and Jonathon were in to 204.

I presume some other horny teenagers were in room 203.

"I just want to sleep" I fall onto the bed letting it engulf me.

"Me too. Me too." Mia does the same.

I sit up staright and I and my subconcious telling me to apologize. Me being my stubborn self ponder on it until I finally turn to Mia.

"I'm sorry." We both say at the same time.

"Wait what are you sorry for?" We say simultaneously.

"You go first." Mia says loking at me.

"Mia you're my best friend. Ever. Yes we're complete opposites but ts what makes us special. Were like Milly and Molly, Elena and Bonnie, Meredith and Christina, Carly and Sam..." I trail off.

"I get your point." She interrupts me.

"What I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry. I'm sorry for getting jealous of your's and Ethan's relationship. I'm sorry. I really am." I say to her trying not to get emotional.

"Now it's my turn. I'm sorry for spending too much time with my boyfriend rather than my best friend. Youre my other half, Andy. I don't know what I would do without you." She apologizes.

"Can you believe it?" Mia says.

"Believe what?" I look at her.

"This time last year we were nothing like we are now. Without Zach and Ethan walking into our lives we would probably be the same people." She enlightens me.

"Change is good sometimes." I mumble.

"What's wrong?" She noticed my glum expression.

"It's just that this time last year I wouldn't have time for boys but now I just can't help falling in love with someone who I totally friend-zoned a few days ago." I speak.

"Did you just hear what you just said?" Mia looks shocked.

"That change is good?" I ask.

"You finally admitted your feelings for Zach. Ohhh..Savannah owes me a tenner." She smiles.

"You bet on me?" I ask.

"That's not the point. The point is you love Zach and now there's no going back." She grins. " I have to call Savannah." She grins even more and phones Savannah even though she was a few doors away.

Maybe I am falling in love with Zach and I've finally just realised.

Oh shit. I'm falling in love with the bad boy.
